  1. The bills and panthers have 2 things in common. They both have the best MLBs and they both had a losing record. What a joke! Neither NE nor Seattle have best MLBs. Heck, MLBs are just an afterthought for most good teams in the league.

Lol Wagner and Mayo might disagree with you there. Do you even watch football?

  2. The people that are saying the Eagles lost out simply don't understand value. The Eagles received a Linebacker and close to $10m free cap.

They could sign Forsett/Spiller and a WR in free agency and EASILY pass McCoy's production for the next few years with that $10m. Plus they get an exciting young LB.

  3. Tbh the eagles didn't have many holes and LB was a major one for them to fill. With the 20th pick in this RB loaded draft they could easily replicate mccoys numbers with Sproles + rookie next year. This is a great move by the eagles.

  4.

Clemson defensive back has a hard time catching him. Don't buy his 40 time at the combine.

I'm starting to like this kid, he's got serious pluck once he catches the ball.

Still think we'd be better off with a CB or WR in 3 because of the extra depth in these groups and the bigger improvement in areas of need.

  5. Id rather we address corner in FA than the draft. We have enough inexperience and youth at the cornerback position right now. There is a solid list of veteran corners out there than can upgrade the position for us at good value.

I agree there's talent in this FA group, but CB is an overpaid position all round at the moment. So evaluating value for money is especially hard at the moment. That's why I support Gman's experimental approach to FA for corners.

  6. CJ came alive and Ealy was picking the game up. Plus Frank spelled some at the end of the season! We didn't have a pass rush until last third of the season....hence why the CBs looked effective

So why do we need to reinforce the stellar pass rush that we got at the end of last season then? That's what we're all saying, we have bigger areas to improve without worrying about the "what if" worst case scenarios at DE.

  7. CJ gets hurt and we are done! Ealy def needs to remain a situational player another year. Lets assume Frank fails another test! Now what?

We can have AJ Green and Revis, we lose our pass rush and we are pretty much guaranteed to lose the game! Shula is not an OC geared to enter shoot outs

Our defense improved from 25th to 5th with changes in our secondary over the second half of the season, not changes to our D-Line. CJ is still a game changer, and when you can rotate Alexander, Ealy, Horton and Addison on the other end you should not be too worried about DE. When your corner depth is Melvin White and Carrington Byndom, then you should address your cornerbacks.

  8. Top 3 by far are OT, WR, and safety. Then I, and many others, would argue that DE, DT depth and OLB are all bigger needs than corner if we lockup Norman (which we will). Bene will start outside with Colin Jones back at nickel. Jones is a beast in that buffalo package and it fits his skill set insanely well. Our defense is built around pressure on the QB and stopping the run. So DT depth since we have no one in the rotation now behind Star and KK, and DE which was elite with Hardy but wasn't last year at all, are way more important than CB. And CJ could be gone soon if we can't workout a way to get his cap hit down then DE becomes by far our biggest need (assuming we've addressed OT). Ealy has shown some promise but is very far from a sure thing, Horton and Addison are trash, and no one knows what will happen with Big Frank.

Sorry T, but disagree with most of this.

I see our priority ranks as OT, WR, CB, DE/S, DT

    OT/WR is self explanatory.

CB - I agree Colin Jones was decent in man coverage from the slot, but our Buffalo package requires zone coverage for intermediate routes, where Jones got confused a fair amount of times last season. You can't steal a safety from our roster, call him a slot CB and say safety is a bigger need.

DE/S - We have starters in these positions at the moment - Boston/Harper/Jones will most probably start next season and they all have playing time under their belt. Harper most probably will start regardless of people's complaints because he keeps the young group together.

We have CJ and Ealy as DEs this season, and enough depth with playing time to spell if needed. Yes, it would be nice to have a vet to help Ealy, but I don't think its happening this season unless we keep Hardy. Guy's gonna have a baptism of fire and hopefully he comes out stronger because of it.

DT - we just need bench depth, not exactly a huge need.
