Will be interesting if anyone is interested in giving Burns a bigger contract than Panthers. Possible that Burns going to get cold dose of reality.

APNEWS:
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The Charlotte Hornets are sending often-injured small forward Gordon Hayward to the Oklahoma City Thunder for guard Tre Mann, forward Davis Bertans, point guard Vasilije Micic and second-round draft picks in 2024 and 2025, according to a person familiar with the situation.
The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Thursday because the deal had not yet been approved by the league.
Also, I just saw that Bertans is making $17mil a year meaning he and Lowry are taking up almost $50mil/yr.
Hopefully this means that some Kupchick salary cap wizardry is forthcoming.
Earlier on NBA tv said something about a trade exception, but nothing about draft picks. I guess you just can't trust first reports.

No picks little disappointing

Jamari Thrash is a name to keep an eye on.
I picked him up in a mock draft last night. After some of the raves from yesterday's practice. Was chosen much later than he will likely be taken in the real draft after this week's practices.

The Shipley out of Clemson is considered one of the better route running and pass catching backs this year I believe.

Can't imagine Evans coming here unless it's some record contract. He likely either stays in Tampa or signs with serious contender.
See if we can get Ridley and hope Troy Franklin falls to 33.

Almost any new hire will have upsides and some downsides.
But how many will have good odds to deck Tepper if he starts interfering in football calls
Vrabel might be worth it for that alone.

I do wonder if we have a dark horse candidate no one has legitimately linked us to yet. My guess in that case would be Vrabel, who I'd be thrilled with.
Albright hinted at a Vrabel possibility on X.

IMHO the only difference in Tepper and Florio is that Tepper is really rich.

I don't get it, what would we gain by not announcing second interviews? Would that infer we want to hire someone whos available right now?
Well from that second tweet, it is suggested; to keep other teams in the dark, in terms of possible plans. Even if you have set up a second interview set up, could run risk of what just happened with Titans and Callahan.
Least it's a possible theory

Give falcons credit, they are casting wide net even on second interviews

If they have a Presser with questions, all reporters should demand to know what major decisions he disagreed with in last three+ years and what his advice was at the time.

I get the sense that Slowik isn’t in serious contention for any HC gigs this year. I think it’s just a year too soon for him.
Never know, but Troy Aikman was selling him hard yesterday. .

If you interview coaches in person between the NFC/AFC championship and superbowl, is it common for hirings to be announced before they play the superbowl? I cant remember how it usually plays out lol
It varies often the word leaks, but isn't made official till after game.

Here is a current summary of completed, scheduled, and requested interviews for the Panthers and the other teams.
A few things of note:
- Aaron Glen and Bobby Slowik have yet to accept a single interview.
- Mike Vrabel's name has yet to surface as a candidate for any team.
- Washington and Seattle look like they are just now getting started on their HC search.
- Las Vegas completed their only two reported interviews in person, meaning they can hire AP (or someone else) whenever they want.
- The Panthers were the first (or only) interview for most of their candidates. The lone exception is Brian Callahan who saved the Panthers for last.
Whoa, didn't know Harbaugh interviewed with Atlanta.

Panthers cut Bradley Bozeman
in Carolina Panthers

In fairness to Bozeman, hard to thrive with the crap fest at both guard spots last year.
