  1. I don't know about the rest of you but taking cold showers after hard physical activity has completely changed me. It's like what Olsen does only without the extra thousand a month

I've heard that this is good for your muscles... the thought of it makes me cringe tho...

I wanted to try for a new PR on deads Monday night but I forgot my @$#%^@ chalk... so I settled for heavy chained rack pulls.

  2. Phil's post round interview cut right to the point. He said he put up a hellova 4 day score he thought Thursday would have won it but got outplayed by the kid.

Tip your cap and move on.

Absolutely... how many years would -14 win it... quite a few I suspect.  Nothing you can do but admire what the kid did and try again next time.

  3. GET THE APP.

    It's awesome.

    I did...

I watched part of it on my phone in Crabtree mall... about an hour of it in 'Alumni' talking to some cool kid that works there who's also a golfer and then I got on my phone and set it to record on my DVR, drove home from Raliegh after dropping my son off and didn't look at any news from that point until I got home and was able to watch the end on my DVR about 9:30...  Technology is awesome!

Spieth was honestly just amazing.  He kept his cool and hit some really clutch shots, foremost being the 2nd on #13 and the 2nd on #15, two shots which I would definitely have laid up on but he had the balls and the confidence in his swing to go for both.  I guess that goes to prove that you don't win the Masters by playing not to lose...  (Hear that coach Rivera?)

I was rooting for Phil to do something there at the end, but he just couldn't quite manage it except for that brilliant shot on #15 and the almost brilliant shot on #16.

Only thing I really wish was that Spieth had broken Tigers scoring record instead of just tying it, but still a damned fine accomplishment.

  4. I know but they all do it, some have just spent decades under the microscope.

Can't spin that one away KG, Phil's been playing longer than El Tigre and he doesn't pull that crap... and you can't compare Spieth dropping his iron to Rory throwing one in the lake or Tiger kicking his 8 iron on #16 at Augusta and yelling "Goddamn it!!!" 6 feet from the gallery... Cmon man... :P

I don't want this to devolve into a defend Tiger/Bash Tiger thread so we can discuss it later... Bump that Happy Panther thread... :)

  5. Had to leave to run an errand for my son earlier and I missed the last 30 minutes of today's round and I just watched it...

Spieth struggled mightily on 17&18 (despite the brilliant chip on 18) and I think that bodes very badly for him tomorrow. He doesn't have the experience these other guys at the top of the leaderboard have so we shall see. 4 strokes at the Masters isn't a big lead on Sunday. He's got to get ahead of that push he defaults to under pressure.

Tiger and Rory paired probably gives the PGA, golf fans, and CBS a stiffy, plus with Phil hovering around the top too... Ratings should be huge.

Too bad I have to go to Raleigh tomorrow... :(:(:(

Ima try and be back by 6 to catch the end or find somewhere to stop and watch......

  6. You guys love some Tiger... I still don't get it.

Great recovery birdie on #13, but he then played 14 like a Sunday hacker and barely squeaked a bogey... Kills me how when he plays a hole good, he's the greatest ever and then he plays a hole like #14 and <crickets>.

Phil is on the hunt and before #9, Hoffman looked great. Spieth just got a huge break on #9 with that kick.

  7. I hope Spieth can keep it up, love to see him win it.  Els playing really solid as well.

I'll be really surprised if the committee doesn't make the course significantly more difficult today to cut down on those low scores.

Tiger is toast... he's over the hill... swings like a girl...   <sits back and waits for Kevin Greene to see this>

  8. Spieth is playing really well...  idk if he's got the nerves to deal with the Sunday pressure tho... he kind of blew it twice yesterday.

Rory definitely has a shot, depends on how he starts.

There's really no telling, but ima watch every minute of it that I can.
