I know the head field guy cried about this. I hope our new stadium, when it inevitably comes, has a grass field.
I doubt it. I believe Tepper wants artificial turf...

There's a lot of snide remarks towards Teddy Bridgewater's comments. So do yall think that he's just lying or yall just wanna hate on him.

According to Michael Silver, it was originally going to be a seventh.
The Broncos bumped it up to a sixth to convince the Panthers to pay part of his salary.
Wow...well time to move on

I was expecting better than a 6th though. I'm thinking where we go with our 1st pick depends on whether a QB we like falls to us. One way or the other we still need to protect our QB.
-
I see us holding onto Donald. I don't see us getting much for Bridgewater bc they know we don't want him and will probably release him. But if I gotta pay him, he'd stay on the roster.

this confirms nothing. if Sewell or Slater is there was are stupid to trade back. UNLESS, we receive a 1st, 2nd, and 1st next year. even then we are trading away from a top talent in the draft to get more "pieces"
This is based on hindsight information. You can go team by team, like every expert does, and guess what team is going to take who. You make the best decision in the moment with the knowledge you've accumulated up to that moment...

I like this signing and love the constant searching for and signing of improvement personnel. I believe that we, The Carolina Panthers, are finally building a foundation that great teams are built on.

It's kind of a refreshing chance of pace, ain't it?
Yes it is...

It's hard to get a bead on what direction our current staff will go with their decision making. It's easy to get caught up in the past regimes, but as far as this draft goes: I think that Sam Darnold was our trade/starter/fill in.
Meaning if we can't draft who they want, Sam is the starter and we'd draft accordingly.
If we can draft the QB we want, we'd draft him and continue to let Darnold start and fill in till he's/draft pick is ready.
-
I think we're waiting till after the draft...

OK, if Dallas really wants him, how about swapping 8 and 10, and Dallas throws in their 3rd (#75), and we get Slater?
Sounds good

Unless the Cowboys move up to get him. Pitts would be a great pick for us but personally if I couldn't get the 1st or 2nd best offensive lineman, then I'd take Pitts. "Owners of the 10th overall pick, the Cowboys would most likely have to trade up to land Pitts, the top-ranked tight end in the draft."

I think that Steven A dislikes Adam Gase more than he likes Sam Donald... But he does make some valid points...

Why would another team give Teddy a chance to start when the Panthers, who were a bad team last season, are saying he wasn't good enough for them?
Because every team differs in scheme. What wasn't good for the goose could be great for the gander...

First of I'm not necessarily a fan of Sam Donald. Granted he hasn't played on a good team but he is young. Maybe Rhule sees something in him that he believes fits the Panthers.
Financially Sam's deal is way more cap friendly.
I'm interested to see how this plays out...

I feel that we're in the midst of not just building a competitive team but building a solid organization. It isn't about big names, whether it's players or coaches, is about building an organization, a program, that can get buy in from its players.

Good bye BOA stadium field
