Trade next years 1st round pick to be get back in to this years 1st round.. IF... QB Malik is still available late in the round. Probably give up a 5th this year and a 3rd next year to get it. Then all positions of real need have been addresses. Then sign a decent DE/DL still available.Â
History repeats. Last time it didnât workout that well for us.Â

I used to think this way. Then this past season happened.Â
This past season showed me that we have more problems than just QB. Build the team with what we have. Make this team as strong as we can. At that point QBs will WANT to come here.Â

I hope to God we donât trade for him. The asking price is just too much.Â

Yeah But with 4-3 personnel. 3-4 works well for many teams but takes a commitment. Not a overnight thing plenty of the top defenses in the league run a 3-4.
Maybe. Iâm not sure we had 3-4 or 4-3. Maybe a combo. The real problem I see with this team is lack of a long term plan or lack of leadership to implement said plan.Â

I'm resigning Burns and letting Reddick walk and taking that comp pick.
How about a third option? Transition to a legit 3-4 scheme and keep both.
Â
We just tried that a few years ago. I still have nightmares. Love him or not, Rivera is a legit coach.Â

Anyway that makes sense. Â These decisions canât be made in a vacuum. Unfortunately, that seems to be whatâs happened over the past few years.Â
ÂI am not okay with another Matt Kalil deal.Â
Âdraft bpa at a position of need.Â

It doesn't matter, the Panthers will be selecting another qb in 2023 anyway.Â
I feels very 2010 with jimmy clausen. Weâre gonna have the first pick in the 23 draft.Â

We are not a quarterback away from competing.
Youâre never as bad or as good as you think. I suspect we are closer than most here think. Fix the Oline and the offense will fix itself. Add a D tackle and linebacker then our defense will be improved.Â

How many coaches/coordinators will this be trying to fix sam? 5 in 5 years?
I donât think anyone is fixing Sam. I think his point is he recognizes talent which is what we need.Â

Agreed but the replacements from a few years back were worse.Â

This site is embarrassing. 500 threads about how much Rhule sucks. I get it. Yes he does suck. I can't hardly stand this place anymore. Just miserable. I try to stay away but habit and boredom always makes me look. I regret it every time.Â
Agreed.Â

-By keeping Rhule 1 more year, Tepper can give him another season to prove himself to the media, and everyone else that Rhule needs to be terminated and heâs not going to be the messiah everyone thought. It also allows Tepper to display heâs not a hot head whose impatient and going to fire the next coach on the spot.
-Rhule is almost certainly going to cause the team to crash and burn this season, which guarantees a higher draft pick (and full draft board) it also gives us a throw away season where we can play a ton of young players and allow them to gain experience while giving us another year to unload some of these heavy contracts we have (Darnold, McCaffrey, Anderson)
Â-It allows him to see another year of Fitterer. If Scott isnât the answer, I could see Tepper letting him go with Rhule and bringing in 2 new guys.
-It gives Dave a whole year to eyeball who he wants for the vacancy.
As much as I hate to say it, I think Rhule might be sticking around but for the sole purpose to tank next season.Â
The past several seasons have been âthrowaway seasons.â

Iâll continue to be a fan from afar. Â Iâll check the message boards and keep up with current affairs but I wonât watch another game until next season at earliest.Â
ÂMy interest is a at an all time low, too.Â
ÂItâs a really weird feeling to be ambivalent regarding the panthers. I hope it changes soon.Â
