Yet, Rhule is set to return in 2022.

The Athletic's Joseph Person reports Panthers owner David Tepper is "unhappy and embarrassed" by the team's performance under head coach Matt Rhule.

Rhule, who has lost 21 of his 31 games as Carolina's head coach, said this week that Tepper has “nothing but confidence about me and the future and moving forward." Often citing "the process," Rhule has preached patience with his underperforming Panthers, who have flailed wildly over the past year in search of a franchise quarterback. They inexplicably settled on Sam Darnold before the 2021 NFL Draft, only to see him flounder after a promising start to the season. Panthers players have reportedly grown deeply skeptical of Rhule's "process," criticizing his micromanaging approach to coaching. “The proof’s in the pudding,” said one veteran personnel official. “The product on the field is bad.” Expect 2022 to be Rhule's final year as Carolina's head coach barring a miraculous turnaround.

Am I the only one who can’t read his posts?

For me it’s less about leaving the Panthers as much as it is leaving football. I’ve been a fan 25+ years since I was a kid, the Panthers are the only team I’ve known. I used to go to training camp at Wofford and get player signatures on Krispy Kreme napkins. I used to obsess over everything football, to this day I could tell you the majority of info of every player (school, position, draft spot) of anyone drafted before the 6th round from 2005-2020. That being said my love of the game is dead. I haven’t watched a game since week 5 and can honestly say I’ve been the happiest I’ve been in years. I really hope it brings joy to you guys but it’s just not the same.

Same, except I haven’t watched a game since week 4. Halfway through the Dallas game I knew we were a house of cards. I’m reality, I haven’t really watched a full game since 2019. I also have a 2 and 4 year old. I no longer have the uninterrupted free time either.

I can understand the frustration with this team but IMO if you leave the team you weren’t really a fan to begin with.

There was a point in my younger years I believed that to be true. As I’ve aged I changed my attitude towards it. Unless you’re retired it’s a tough ask to give up a 4 hours of your Sunday for an awful product in the field. Once the product on the field Improves and is worth my time  I’ll be back to watching the games. Until then… life is too short to get pissed off every Sunday. Just my opinion on it.

who cares just go for it on every 4th down and do an onside kick every kickoff literally what does it matter what this team does anymore eliminated from playoff contention

Not a bad idea. Practice for next year.

I know you don't care. I don't really have much of anything that you'll miss... but I used to care about this team you bought.

    Used to.

Maybe when you flush this turd Rhule away and find someone who knows what they're doing I'll get interested again.

For now, though, life's too short to spend on this poo product you're trying to sell us.

    So...um...

Bro, I came to this conclusion a couple months ago. I love the panthers and can’t completely tune them but I haven’t watched a game in months. My Sunday’s have been much more pleasant.

I watched his press conference and then that video on his YouTube channel.  I was impressed with his press conference.  My 1st thought was that he looked like he has aged 10 years in the past 2.  Also, he sounds different.  He mentioned several times it was not about him. He sounds more at peace with things.  He talks about being spiritual...a lot of people do, but this sounds different than before.

He sounds like he is still playful Cam, but something seems different.  How many players would return to the team who cut him like the Panthers did?  He seems so at peace with it.  This is weird in a good way.  I really hope his shoulder is good.  I want this move to be great.

Love the perspective. We need more positivity in the world.

We may hate KB here but while he played for us, he never played as bad as Anderson did. In 2 and a half seasons, KB averaged about 1000 and 7TD. Anderson is on pace for less than 500 yards and less than 5 TDs.

KB’s worst year for us, he had more yards in 8 games than Anderson is on pace for in 16 games.

We dislike KB a bunch, but Anderson this year is half a KB in his worst year.

Also, we owe Anderson 3 times more guaranteed than we paid KB for all his 4 years. Don’t drag KB’s name through the mud for a guy costing us way more and doing way less this year.

It was a reference to when he was a Bill. He had the one TD in the preseason against us and disappeared the rest of the season.
