Official Week 13: Rams @ Panthers Gameday Thread
Moonraker replied to rodeo's topic in Carolina Panthers
QBs just have all game to find someone open. We have to generate some kind of pass rush going into next year. -

I don't think that's a surprise. Same thing happened last week outside of the turnovers...we have to live off that on D right now and they have been doing it. -

Unreal. Our defense has been lights out the last 2 weeks all things considered. If our O can't compliment it today there's going to be mutiny in the locker room. -

Do Corum and Williwms trade series? Williams has been a big let down in fantasy this year -

Low to zero expectations today but our kick coverage has seemed pretty terrible all year -
Battle of the 9's between BY and McCarthy would be a better matchup.
-
It is. You don't need the #1 pick but most good QBs do go in the first round. You never know which one is gonna hit, so you have to take the chance if it's there and it's a need.
-
I think everyone knows that. What's also interesting is only 2? of them were taken #1! And neither of them would be in my first 3 if we had the choice to take one
-
Look at these QBs just slinging darts all over the field
-
A long term fix most likely wouldn't come next year so him starting makes sense, as much as it sucks. I don't want us to do that, but it's the likely outcome.
-
Every year there are QBs nobody is talking about that come out and play well. Nobody ever knows unless Andrew Luck shows up again....just take the shot on it if it's there.

J Person article on Canales and game plan and Rico
Moonraker replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Canales was def a premature hire for HC/OC combo...he isn't Andy Reid, McVay, etc. We also wouldn't have landed him if he was a real proven commodity. So far I think the investment has paid off, we'll see if he continues to improve since the margin gets thinner and thinner as your team gets better. We look back fondly on Rivera and the attitude the team had, but he was on the edge of getting canned before he finally said fug it and went all in. It's frustrating as all hell to watch at times rn, but the team is trending in the right direction...it just gets harder as you move up the ladder to overtake the next team. -
They are just an NFL coach and player, not Panthers. All the dudes we loved were psychotic, elite competitors. DB is the only person on this team capable of intimidating anybody. Maybe Dowdle too. Cherelus only played like 2 games but loved that dudes attitude too. He made some mistakes, but anytime he made a tackle, you could hear it.

Lock in the Rams at -10 with every dollar you can spare
Moonraker replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah I don't see how this isn't a total route unless the Rams forget all their cleats in LA and go deaf on the plane. Even then, 13-10 Rams -
That's fair. The goal posts definitely moved after some of our wins this year.
-
Most teams in the league could say that. 49ers probably saying the same after last night.
-
For sure. The fact that we are 6-6 is evidence that we are better at finding ways to win. Still a very frustrating team though
-
If you look at our average offensive performance it's pretty shocking that we're 6-6.
-
Barring a curveball out of nowhere there is nothing to be excited about going into next year from the offensive perspective. There's enough data out, there's no reason to believe we are just going to turn around unless there is a big chance somewhere on the offensive side of the ball.

I totally agree. I was just thinking to myself last night this guy is just happy to be here. It was God's plan for him to bomb last night...the dude isn't a competitor. Everything, good or bad, is God's plan and there's nothing he can do about it. Nobody would care if he was playing great but to hear this every time he goes out and drops a deuce is ridiculous. He should just be the team chaplain or something.
