IMO if you're drafted in the 3rd round or earlier you get 3 years, almost without exception. We aren't that far removed from an era where it was nearly unheard of to starter a rookie at any position. If you've proven yourself to be a top 100ish athlete in college then you've earned the right to take your lumps as a rookie, take a potential sophomore slump, and come out the other side as someone worthy of being a starter. 

FWIW I was a Stroud guy going into the draft, but was convinced by others that Young was the right pick. I'm willing to give it time to play out. We were all sold a turd sandwich with the coaching staff, FA pickups, draft, etc and now we have no choice now but to take a big bite.

If anything, looking at the poll results there's a sizeable chunk of people that think the same. That at least gives me hope that this board isn't doomed.

Temperature control indeed.  That's why my big green egg is superior in every way.  

With propane to start some coals(the only thing it's good for) I can get 700+ degrees in minutes.  Shut off the air and pop the cap on and the coals are out almost immediately.

Once you go green you never go back.

It's wasn't just for shock value it made absolute sense.  In the original series her death was the 1st season's finale.  Underwood used her to get VP, once he had it he didn't need her anymore.

I would throw in Total War franchise, Diablo, and Warcraft franchise. Most of the series of games made by Paradox Interactive. Crusader kings, Hearts of Iron, Victoria have been stellar in my opinion. X franchise as well.

I would say the total war series but it's been in steady decline for a long time.  Once they started charging $5 for DLC of a few new units the writing was on the wall.  When Rome 2 was released I realized they absolutely killed the franchise.

That's pretty much the case for any FPS, it's just the nature of the genre.  If you can get good mechanics and balance then all that's needed is updated graphics and maps for sequels.  But you can't market that as much so they have to keep adding crap that ultimately does more harm than good.
