  1. People are missing some facts and simple logoc here.

    1. No team is going to pay more for the guy. All teams will pay the exact same, which is roughly $500 per year for 3 years.

    2. We don't have a 1/32 chance. This isn't roulette. Different teams have different factors involved that will help them or hurt them. Do they need a LT? Could he potentially start day 1? Is the team rising as a whole? Is it a warm climate like Miami with no income taxes? Are there former teammates and friends on the roster? We don't know how high he holds each factor but one could assume that being a starting left tackle is priority in order for him to get that big payday after A few years.

One thing to add is teams can offer different amounts of garaunteed money.  If a few teams are willing the garauntee the whole 3 years of the contract that will seperate them from the pack.

  2. I found a pretty good article on his options as an UDFA now http://overthecap.com/what-can-lael-collins-earn-as-an-undrafted-free-agent/. While he will sacrifice the bonus that a drafted player gets, he gains a lot of flexibility in being able to chose a team, renegotiating his contract, and what year he hits free agency.  Also he can get his entire salary guaranteed if i'm reading correctly and he won't be making that much less than a player drafted on day 3.  All in all I think his agents made the best decision they could in the limited amount of time they had.

  3. Russ Lande is clueless.  I always thought he was pretty bad at his job until one fateful day in March in 2009 when he posted this article http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2009-03-04/mock-draft-everette-brown-climbs-top.  After that I ignore about everything he ever says.  I'd be shocked if the Falcons took Ray at 8 and especially if he is taken by them at 7.

  4. Both have been vastly overrated by most on this board so far. Kelvin is gigantic and slow, with a serious case of dropsies. Philly is small, not as fast as people think, and injury prone. It is very likely that Philly is a career #3 and KB has yet to prove he's even a reliable #2. Yet, everyone here have deemed them the #1 and #2... That's not acceptable. Both could be great and in more appropriate roles if they had more talent around them, specifically a legit #1 or #2 who has proven themselves already (e.g.,Jennings, Moore, Nicks, Britt, even Crabtree).

But what am I talking about? WR was taken care of as soon as we signed all-world Jarrett Boykin and his blazing speed.

If we are being honest the only one that isn't massively overrated on this board that you have listed is Jennings and that solely because he likes playing games on twitter too much.

  5. With this constantly referred to by people in the NFL as a draft with maybe 15 "first round caliber" players. I think if you can get someone who if healthy would reportedly be a top 10 talent in Gurley you might as well do it.  Success historically comes for the panthers when they have a fantastic running game and a great pass rush, and the way it's looking thats the way we would like to build this team.  So if you can get someone you feel could be a top 5 running back in the league on a  5 year rookie contract I think you go for it.
