Circling back here for a minute since we rarely do such on this type stuff.  Simms was one of the most talked about "inside" guys putting out what he thought would happen in the draft.

Simms got a grand total of 7 picks right in the first round.  2 of those being free spaces essentially in Trevor and Wilson.   And almost all in the top 7.   And the picks that made  people pay attention to him and care? Mac in the top 5 and Fields 32nd? Not even close.

Moral of the story?  There isn't a big difference between looking at the mock a drunk huddler puts out there...and what Chris Simms does.

I get folks get some jolly from mock drafts. But kind of weird you put so much stock into it to not only follow and care, but then come back days later to trumpet how wrong this person was.

To an extent they did, especially the first year with the pair of TEs we had. But it took them years into his tenure to draft a WR in the first three rounds, and the OL was a huge problem and they never seemed to commit to fixing it the way they would positions on the defense.

This is pretty much it. When it comes right down to it...race played a huge role.

In the world of sports, the black athlete is superior. Lets just get that out there. In most cases and across all sports.  When teams have what they term a "mobile" QB...guess what race he is? This "mobility/athleticism/durability in a QB of a certain skin tone seemingly is a reason to neglect other offensive positions.

Hey, we got a young athletic QB that can run and make plays....why do we need OL help when he can run?

Suddenly inject a small white QB that isn't so fast, cant take hits. THEN the tools to succeed start to appear.

We've done the BPA for years and neglected the line.  This is exactly the reason why we have crap for a line right now.  Sometimes you have to just pick the best tackle on the board.

This "neglect" was a result of having a so called "mobile" QB.

been saying it for years.  Cam never had protections because he was a mobile and strong QB.

Darnold? Well lets be honest. He isnt a physical specimen like Cam. For all kinds of reasons i wont get banned for saying....he will get more support than Cam.

Lets make it simple. Teams only go deep on OL early when their QB is a butterfly. The trend these days is for QB that are mobile, stronger and a bit more robust. That lends teams to let the OL slide.

Lets hope Darnold can get some protection tomorrow.~

  4. I dont even know why this is a surprise. All the mock drafts. All the "sources" And at the end of the day and is the case every single year....everyone is just talking out their ass and guessing.

Amazes me in 2021 and most by now have had the internet long enough to know how to read and verify and research...random takes from talking heads STILL get so much credit and replay.

Wasn't that great to win a game?  Loved it!

It was a fabulous victory. Who here remembers the celebrations we did that day we won that game?

Compare that to the draft position we WOULD have had and all the possibilities that could afford us, and the celebrations we MIGHT have had if we didn't win that game and were picking in the top 5.  I bet most of the players are stoked and carrying all kinds of fire in their guts because of that win.

Yeah. It was great to win that game.

  6. Cheers to all the folks that get a kick out of pre draft this, mocks and all that hype. I kind of wish I wasn't so logical and call it a waste of time because no one really knows anything

Some folks really enjoy it as if it is like a small pre-season full of news to read and things to ponder while taking a dump. I envy that!

Purchasing a factory that emits foul odor and respiratory-compromising pollutants is not a boss move. It's a billionaire chasing his next pay increase at the expense of average Americans. fug outta here.

Factory was there and doing the same long before the purchase. The idea another NFL owner purchased it and did so to "poo" on our team was the whole point of the thread. You seem to has misunderstood the context that OP didn't say out loud and really a wild thing: Kraft purchase this as a signal/big fug you. Cheers to your new offices smelling my poo~

If Tepper did the same you would ride his balls! These are boss level moves.

I bet you still drive a car that emits pollutants. The fug out of here
