Hes fast in a straight line running 40 yards untouched. Hes not quick, nor good at change of direction. He has short arms and small hands for his size and wasnt a good route runner and routinely relied on making contested catches because he didnt get seperation in college. This would be such a panthers wr pick.

Not a fan of trading up....but if powers drops to one of our picks i think it would be hard to pass up.
Trading up has been a disaster for this franchise. I’m with you, if he drops to us then pick him.

yeah i'm not happy with it. can't imagine that they are settled on it as well.
i'm thinking it's probably likely that one of the first 2 picks will be a center because i don't think there's much in the way of FA OCs out there and they are probably going to want someone who could at least compete for the starting job.
We haven’t met with a single center prospect. I would feel better if we brought a couple in for draft evaluations.

This is one of the best posts I’ve read on this board and I thank you for it.

I'm open to drafting a guard or center at 33. Interior OL is our biggest issue on the entire team.
Graham Barton makes sense at 33. He can play both.

I was on board with most of this, however, I don't like the Irving pick or double dipping at OL. You cut Thomas (I agree) but did nothing to replace him in the draft or FA.
In all fairness, you don’t have to do anything to replace Ian Thomas.

I like the players he picked but there’s no way Malachi Corley falls that far.

He did 75%run 25% pass we got blown out in several games he coached and he choked with the playoffs on the line. Hardly a fantastic job. He was average at best.
The same group of guys went 2-15 this past season.

His style of football as a HC is not built for today's NFL. We don't have a play caller like the 9ers have.
Wilks did an average job as HC with an average roster, nothing special. We could do worse and we did,but we can also much better.
You mean he took one of the worst rosters in the league and made it look average.

I understand your preference for one party over the other is shaping your language. The only way he can interview for DC positions is if the Panthers agree to ignore or breach the contracts and rules. Those are already in place. It would be more accurate to say he blocked himself by signing his contract. You want to present it as if the Panthers/Tepper are taking some sort of action to prevent Evero from interviewing. They are not. He is not allowed to interview per NFL rules and because of the contract he himself signed. The team doesn’t have to do anything to prevent him from interviewing. They are simply honoring the contract and the NFL rules.
Teams commonly allow coaches to interview for lateral moves. We apparently aren’t one of those teams. We’re paying Eviro $3 million and you’re right, he accepted the bag. I don’t want coaches that don’t want to be here. At least we’ll get a third round compensatory pick for him after next season assuming he gets hired as a HC elsewhere.

He interviewed with the falcons for HC.
We can’t block him from interviewing for HC jobs. He also interviewed for the Seahawks HC position. What’s your point?

He’s not blocking him. The standard is that teams aren’t allowed to unilaterally interview and hire coaches under contract with other teams for lateral positions or demotions. If Evero wants to breach his contract, then he can. The contract will have very clear terms laid out for breach by either party and what the penalties are. Evero signed the contract of his own free will.
The Giants, Dolphins and Jaguars requested interviews for their DC position. We blocked Eviro from interviewing with them. I don’t know how else to explain that to you.

How is Tepper holding him hostage? Didn't he interview for HC positions?
He’s blocking him front interviewing for DC jobs that he’d probably like to take.

That’s if Evero wants to stay. He might want out of that contract to go elsewhere
He does want out but can’t leave if it’s a lateral move. Tepper is holding him hostage. He’s getting paid well but doesn’t want to be here.

The 1st pick in the 2nd rd is coveted. Let's hope we can trade back a few spot and grab a new 2nd and maybe a 3rd and 5th for it.

Well in this example I was making, Harbaugh isn’t Rhule. Not saying it’s a good idea anyway.
Tepper doesn’t want Harbaugh. We’re going to hire some above average OC and let them pick our GM. Tepper will screw this up again.

Not necessarily, they could pick one of those coaches and then let them pick their guy.
That worked out great with Rhule picking Fitterer.

We should ban anybody who says anything negative about Young. Tired of people not supporting our players and wishing them to fail!
Anything negative about Oline and WR’s is okay though since they are trash!

Bryce is so bad. Will f’n Levis is outplaying him. Trade him this off season, let’s get what we can and start another rebuild cycle.
Would love to see us trade him but who would want him?

Plays like a 3rd or 4th rounder.
UDFA’s are outplaying him at this point. I can’t believe that many people poo’d your comment. We’d all take a 3rd or 4th rounder for him now.

I hope you’re right. Smitty thought highly of him as a prospect and that means a lot.
