Really? He used the Atlanta Thrashers as an example? I sincerely hope this was an attempt at humor.
Yes, humor…I hope!

Don Waddell promised there’s more to come, adding, “the Atlanta Thrashers weren’t built in a day, you know!” So patience, boys, patience…

Our PK is very good when it's clicking, I am guessing our injuries have a little something to do with it.
It didn’t help either that on the two scoring PKs the guys the Canes had in the box were big penalty killers, Aho and Skjei. Aho, in particular, is an ‘annoying’ penalty killer. He’s got an active stick, fast, harasses the PP puck carriers in all 3 zones, and is a constant threat to grab a lose puck and get a shorty. Having him in the box makes Tampa’s PP that much better.

Canes getting out worked badly this game and the injuries are mounting. Big third period coming up.

Grabbed the stick to draw that ‘hooking’ penalty it appeared on the replay and now a tie game, sigh

Crap...couldn’t get the clear

AAAAAAAAHOOOOO!

I thought Mrazek should have frozen that puck...and instead, his playing it results in a 2 on 1 and a goal, lol

It was 0. No scoring chances at all they barely spent any time in the Tampa zone. Absolutely terrible maybe one of the worst power plays I’ve ever seen and I’ve watched a lot of hockey in my life
Canes once gave up three short-handed goals on a single PP...so they can be worse! But they need to do better, much better...

Mrazek had a ridiculous .98 save percentage the first six games he played this season before injury, He wasn't great when he came back and only played like 9 games all season, NED'S puck handling is usually superb and I suspect the ice conditions are contributing tonight to a few of his mishandles. He Adds a TON to the offense with ability to play the puck.
Agree, I mentioned to Mrs. Storm during Game 5 at how many defensive zone face-offs and Preds possessions were avoided and break-outs started due to Ned’s puck handing, it was a lot! Those extra possessions add up during the course of a game and a series.
Great win! On to TB!

Big save on the 2 on 1 by Ned and that led to the possession for McGinn’s goal...good stuff!

What a shot and goal! Woohoo!

Well, how ‘bout that, a retaliatory penalty! Woohoo
-
Preds can retaliate after a clean hit and cross-check after the whistle without fear of penalty it seems. Canes heads better be on a swivel...

Foegs couldn’t get a shot off with the wobbly puck at that open net...pity
-
Another Canes PK. Tripp says, “I can’t even remember the last Cane’s power play.” Me either...

Need to get a goal to even it up...Preds are buzzing.
And now this: Dougie probably gone.

I understand the Canes will be holding an open try-out for goaltenders on Sunday. Who’s in?
