  1. Brian Burns. The destroyer of tackles. The conqueror of double teams. The... King of missing. He is my favorite player on Defense but my god he misses so frequently. He should have 10 sacks right now at least on the season.

How do you beat the fugg out of the tackle and miss the fragile little QB? This happened a lot last year too. This isn't new

Sam isn’t taking us to a SB.

I don’t care how good the dense is or how much the OL improves. Our 3-0 start was a mirage. We have too many holes and the QB position must be addressed. Sam ain’t it. Period. Poo me all you want lol. This isn’t attached to my resume or my personal life in anyway.

Sam for sure ain't it. Took the words out of my mouth. Everything. Please poo Me as well.

I think a LT trade is more likely then people realize.

If we're at the trade deadline 1-2 games ahead of tampa with 1-2 losses, I feel we at least make an effort to fix the line.

Assuming darnold stays on track, he's worth 3 1sts on his own, we can afford to lose one, plus it would be a crap 1st anyway if we're playoff bound

    Exactly. It's a calculated decision

Anyone who does not realize that Guard is our weakest position on the line, is not a full time fan.

Our O line is horrible as a whole, why is it with you know it all's people either agree with you or that suddenly makes someone not a full time fan?

Two things can be true. Our guards are terrible and our left tackle is terrible.

Don't get me wrong I'd love to have Tunsil but there's absolutely no chance they're trading him. Beyond the fact that they just traded two firsts to aquire him two years ago, they just restructured his contract in such a way that trading him would leave them on the hook with pretty obscene dead money. Whether they're entering a rebuild or not, (they're not really only at QB), you dont trade a franchise LT especially one who's under 30 when you're likely hunting for a new rookie franchise quarterback. It's a ridiculous prospect.

It's just a fantasy that you've concocted that's not really worth discussing it's merits.

    Respectable answer

Burns got a sack, multiple pressures, a TFL and a PD. I hope he gets “tossed like a rag doll” more often.

Lol I stare at burns every play of the game when we're out there. They moved him around and he hardly got any pressure va Tunsil. His sack he came in untouched just like he has with all his other sacks so far. He was getting tossed around lol. I love burns, I'm not pushing some agenda against him, I have no bias

I mean he has given up 0 sacks and has no penalties but I do think they over paid for him in terms of the two first rounders. Doubt we get a better OT in round one next year given that we'll be drafting at least around 20+ so I don't see why people would say it's a dumb idea considering he's 27.

He restructured his deal and I don't know what that entaisl but the money could be what funks it up? I don't care enough to look up his salary but the ability is there and the value is too if the money isn't goofed.

But also probably around a 100% chance they don't do it though...like why would they trade one of the best pass blockers.

They're heading into rebuild mode. Tunsils ability won't help the team enough to win anyway. And they could fetch more picks for the rebuild

That’ll be the dumbest move ever. Gilmore is on his last year. You don’t trade future picks to rent Gilmore for a year.

They're both on the final years of their deals, I'm just looking ahead to the future. If Donte doesn't wanna stay here, we might as well get something back for him now, and this was what I came up with

  9. Alright. Hear me out. Donte is a very serviceable corner with some upside, and he is a nice chess piece to have on the defense. That being said, he's in the final year of his deal and unless we resign him soon it looks like he could hit the open market.

If the patriots would go for it, why not trade Donte for Stephon to pair him with Jaycee? Stephon is a top 3 press corner in the league and would mesh beautifully with Jaycee. He could also teach him and polish his game up considering they're in the same mold. We could keep Stephon for the final years of his career...

    2 Gamecocks corners together...
