Look, the 2 plays, both the inside the 5 yard line were great, but I agree with the OP. Cam starting? And being relied upon to actually throw the ball down field, consistently? No way.

I'm trying to be positive, but there is a reason Cam was available midseason. Better option than the Temple/XFL superstar Walker. Who are we bringing in to block for him?

According to Cam Newton, Cam Newton was released because Cam Newton was viewed as a "distraction" to NE rookie QB Mac Jones. No word on why one of the other 31 teams in the League haven't picked him up, yet.

The fact that he's now referring to himself in the third person is a huge red flag. He would benefit greatly from some psychotherapy/professional help.
