  1. Draft the homegrown AJ Brown to add an immediate vertical threat for Bryce, keep Adam Thielen for short and intermediate stuff. Upgrade the running game and we might not be a dumpster next year. If nothing else drafting Tez would be a morale booster for the  fanbase. People will hype it up and there would be talks of “maybe we have our franchise QB and WR” from the draft until at very least mid August. The Tez offensive.

Olsen is a panthers legend for sure but at this point is it even arguable that Kelce isn’t the greatest TE in NFL history?

If he gets another ring this year he will have one less than gronk but his numbers are straight up better besides total touchdowns. If Kelce plays for 2-3 seasons he will surpass gronk on that one too.

I think there have been more dominant TEs. Tony Gonzales, Antonio Gates, Gronk. Kelce also hasn't had a year where he had to play with a terrible QB, and guys like Tony Gonzales played in an era where getting the TE involved in the passing game wasn't a focal point.

I mean, if I were on a plane flying to meet some guy at his convenience and mid-flight he goes "nah, I'm good", I'd be pretty pissed.

That is crazy as hell. What I want to know is did the plane do a U-turn in midair or continue on to its original destination? What a huge waste of time and a terrible look. Dude is about to become Eric Bieniemy

Yeah, Whoaa is a classic "what's cool at the moment" type of fan. Notice last night he talked much more about how amazing Mahomes was than he did anything about Lamar (who he hyped up all season). I'm shocked he still has the Deion avatar.

That said, GTFO to anyone who will not watch the SB just because it's KC and SF lol. Bunch of ninnies. Some stupid pop singer? Really? That's one of the reasons you won't watch? She is in your head wow! And the world's too I might add. We've already seen the government start to take a long look at AI, but thanks to the nude AI pics of her ... now they're really worried about AI lolololol. This girl is making football fans angry, making money for KC and the NFL, and might get us all the AI regulations we need hahaha. Nuts!

Also, I get it. We used to be in SF's division. And you wear your Panthers jersey with pride. But come on, man. That was AGES ago. And if Cowboys, Steelers, 9ers, etc. fans can cause you so much angst that you may not even watch the biggest game of the year? That says more about you than anything else. People rag on me for disliking Cam. That's all ON ME. But I'd still watch the SB if he was in it playing for another team. Then you have the constant hate for Purdy. Whyyyy? He's such a fun story. Who cares if he has an elite team. Are you that jealous?

Get some fresh air, people. I'm about to after writing this rant lol.

Sports fans/people seem to just be mad at everything in 2024. Luka drops 73 and everybody immediately goes 'Because nobody plays defense! :angry emoji face: 'This is why I don't watch the NBA' etc etc. Though something about Taylor is unsettling, and I can really understand why people would rather not watch a game than be exposed to her for a cumulative 2 minutes. The Purdy hate makes zero sense. People should be rooting for a mediocre QB to succeed, to deemphasize the QB position since only 4 teams have a shot any given year. He can completely break the blueprint of 'how you win a championship' and people hate him because....he has a good team around him lol. And this is despite the fact that the 49ers drafted a guy at 3 that had 'all of the tools' and he was ass in this same system. People say 'any QB' would succeed in SF and completely ignore how Trey Lance was for some reason. Its just all very odd.

Oh, I see it for what it is. It's an absolute commercial spectacle. I'm a football junkie. I watch for the game. Commercials are beer breaks and halftime is dinner time. I'm just watching the game not the spectacle.

What is fascinating to me is that the majority of the audience is NOT watching the game lol. They are watching for the commercials and halftime. 99% of the public despises ads and commercials 99% of the time. Everybody 'hates to be sold something' but the Super Bowl is the exception for some reason. I'd really like to understand this one day.

Is breaking this addiction really that easy?

I'm serious. Not trying to get too deep/political but the SB is a marketplace for corporations and pop stars to sell you poo, masquerading as a'must see' cultural event that 'brings us all together'. They also play on FOMO to make you feel like a loser if you don't go to that SB party.  The game usually actually sucks (Conference championships are historically more competitive), and the actual play time is around 25 minutes, out of the 5 hours that the game is 'on'. Go fishing in two weeks and once you realize you didn't miss out on anything.

There are two types of people that don't care about any given Super Bowl. People that have never watched or cared about the Super Bowl, and people that used to care and intentionally missed one.  If you've always watched and have never even considered missing the game you will always continue to watch and never consider missing the game. Break the habit once and you'll be free. You'll see it for what it is.

This might be the first SB that I do not watch

Be careful, I have a theory that once an NFL fan intentionally misses one Super Bowl they are never as fully 'into' the NFL as they once were. The veneer is gone, and all of the hype surrounding the game becomes annoying background noise in ones life. Its like when you're a kid and you find out Santa isn't real. Its never the same. I'll publish research on this one day. The Huddle nerds can peer review

They didn’t over perform, they have a very good offense. They only lost this game because they got cute on 4th down and should have just taken 2 field goals. It’s a wildly different game if they just kick it on those two 4th downs.

They have a 'good' offense. Some nice weapons. They are very young and maybe they grow and get better, however their defense has been suspect all year. They only have one decent pass rusher. They got exposed against good teams all year.
