"friends around the league"? Unless they are tied to Houston or Carolina, their opinion doesn't mean much right now.
I'm having a lot more trust in other sources at this point over Daniel Jeremiah. This guy came out of nowhere with this drivel.

I hope to God we don’t trade for him. The asking price is just too much.
I used to think this way. Then this past season happened.

I disagree. I think he seeks out women who are ok giving illegal services under the title of "massage therapist". Instagram is full of them.
Instagram is full of a lot of well, interesting women.
This still makes me chuckle.

We’ve pretty much been his last choice all along. No idea why now he might waive it for us, there are a lot of better teams that are interested
Per report. He will waive it. So yeah. Better teams? Maybe. But not better for Houston's sake. Trading him to the AFC is a huge L for Houston. Pitt already said they were out. Tampa doesn't have the cap. Seattle doesn't have the players that Houston would covet. So yeah..............

At least he's a top five qb. They'll probably fug the draft up anyways
Fair. Only thing that we were excited about going into the Draft was the prospect of drafting a Tackle. Sad times around here, huh?

Yeah. Lot of people in here tripping over themselves to tell us he didn't want to be here and we were the only team interested.
We're about to give up EVERYTHING for this guy. But it is what it is.

Tampa or Seattle.
LOL. No.

That wasn't referring to you. But if the shoe fits
And now it's being reported he will have no issue waiving his trade clause to go to us. But, but, we were told he wouldn't want to come to Carolina per the amazing posters on the Huddle.

The Carolina Panthers will make an "aggressive" offer for Deshaun Watson as soon as the Houston quarterback waives his no-trade clause for them to negotiate with the Texans, a league source told ESPN.
An issue with having the clause waived is not anticipated, the source said.
All the teams understand the NFL still could suspend Watson for a certain number of games if it finds he violated the league's personal code of conduct.

Should’ve traded that entire draft for Watson
Technically we might if Burns is included in the trade.

Why would the Texans trade him to a team in their division? That makes no sense. In NFL even if an opponnent in your division offers you the house, you still take the deal outside of your division.
Texans probably are creaming their pants at the thought of Watson going here. Outside of their division, willing to give up the farm, and we're not close to a Title but Watson will make us better. Perfect for the Texans.

I mean we won't have the chance because ownership and coaching staff ran the team so far into the ground that a no-trade clause means no player comes here on their own free will
If we're the only ones overpaying, and Watson wants out of Houston bad enough. Then yes, he will waive that clause. Regardless.

Detroit just matches up well against the Canes. They gave Carolina fits last year, too.
Eh. They still aren't good to me.

In other news, Ned swatted one thru his own 5-hole while trying to play a dump in.
Mrazek got chased after Arizona lit him up last night.
My buddy sent me that in a text last night. I was legit like Ned. You high?
That loss to that mediocre Red Wings team is still shocking to me.

Retread hires tend to overwhelmingly be NFL guys, not college coaches.
More often than not, college coaches who fail in the NFL and go back to college don't get a second chance to ascend.
Thanks. I had no clue (sarcasm).
Doesn't mean they're decent, good, or even mediocre coaches though. Again. Rivera is about on the same level as Rhule in my opinion. Rivera has a longer track record than Rhule at sucking. Both terrible at coaching. Which is the main point.
If Adam Gase can get rehired, so can Rivera. CLEARLY. Doesn't mean he's even mediocre at coaching.

I would give two firsts and a young starter. Thats it. Anything more and I am out.
I'm on the same page with you, except I'll add another player and another draft pick. Two first rounders, a 2nd rounder, Brown, and Darnold. Call it a day.

But it does beg the question, if Raanta gives up 4 to the Avs, is he then in the same level as Lyon with you? It's a rhetorical question and I'm not trying to argue, I'm just sayin'...
I wasn't real enamored with Lyon, either, but taking everything into consideration, I don't think I expected anything more from him. I'll reserve judgment for the time being.
I have a lot more faith in Raanta before last night. So no. Lyon is a retread. Time to give the young gun some run in my opinion instead of having Lyon as an emergency goalie. Just my thoughts on this though.

Rhule has full roster control. He's the one who picked the talent he's got.
He should've never had that control. I will agree with you there. That's on Tepper though.

Just now, Mr. Scot said:
Will you be getting a job in the NFL anytime soon?
Doubt it, land neither will Matt Rhule be getting another one if he loses this one.
Not the point.
NFL teams will hire retreads all the time, no matter how terrible they are. Rivera's a perfect example of that. Didn't Adam Gase get hired by another team after being trash? Yeah. So...........
No more Watson threads. Use this one or one of the other 20 existing ones.

Benjamin Albright said his money is on Carolina and then referenced it again today. I'll take his word over Jeremiah's which has had the same take for two straight days before Watson was cleared.
