Yeah count me in. Gordon should not be the difference between us being a playoff team and bottom feeders. 0-7 in OT on the season is a terrible look for JB too.

Gordon couldn't be depended on when we signed him. He had injury problems before he got here. He has injury problems now. Still a solid signing, especially since he only has 2 years left after this year.

The kid is still getting adjusted to the NBA. He’s yet to play a full NBA season. Reduced schedule last year because of Covid + his wrist injury. He’s basically hitting his rookie wall in year 2.

This is the most games he’s ever played in a single basketball season. Not to beat a dead horse but this is why we need a freaking backup point guard and Borrego needs to be more flexible with his damn rotations. Did JB forget this is Lamelo’s first full NBA regular season with 82 games? Lamelo is averaging 33 minutes per game right now. He only played 51 games last year and started 30 of them. It isn’t uncommon for young players to start struggling deep into their first few seasons because they have never played this much basketball before. Just another example of poor coaching and player management by our head coach.

You know who wouldn't be a bad backup PG? Bouknight. Even if he's not that great at passing yet. Sigh.

Really bad rebounding last night.  Defense is usually a liability for us, but we gave up so many 2nd and 3rd chances on the glass.

It sucks having a big man like Plumlee that's pretty decent but shoots free throws worse than Shaq did. I mean, wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy worse than Shaq did.

This is why we desperately need  Gordon back. The past few overtime loses would all have been wins in regulation had Hayward been playing. The team shows their age when tthey are trying to hold onto leads an close out games. The fact that our coach doesn't do anything to help in these situations is a major issue. It's like throwing your kid into the deep end of the pool trying to teach him how to swim and not jumping in to save him when he starts drowning.

If LaMelo couldn't pass or rebound, he would be useless when he's off. His defense is nonexistent. I thought he was going to take a big leap this year, but he's still a bit inconsistent.

This is exactly why I made this thread. A lot of what you just said I feel is true because of our head coach. We need Borrego to actually coach on game days. Especially when Hayward is out. Having our gamelan consist of just going out there and playing unorganized, run and gun basketball, while our defense suffers because we don’t crash the boards or rotate properly because guys are trying to initiate fast breaks and just straight up have tired legs is killing us. We need structure and guys to be held accountable. Right now Borrego’s rotation is set in stone. Doesn’t matter what the match up is or if guys are having an off night, Borrego does not stray away from it. Even with injuries, he barely gives any of our young guys on the bench minutes when our main guys clearly need a rest. We need at minimum a 10 man rotation, probably a 12 man on some nights. Past few weeks we’ve been running an 8 man and our guys look exhausted. We’re also blowing games with sometimes double digit leads into the 4th quarter.

I think the only time I notice this team run offensive sets are right after a time out or when Gordon is playing and he brings the ball up the floor. You can’t consistently win basketball games like that.

His lack of playing young guys, defense, and lastly and most importantly inconsistency. See beating the living hell out of the Raptors and now loss to the Pistons for example. I hate that poo. You should not have any business losing to the fuging Pistons if you just beat the Raptors.

I’m sure Mitch and MJ did not expect Miles and Lamelo to make such huge leaps in their development this offseason. I know I sure as hell didn’t. Both of them have blown my expectations of them out of the water.

Completely agree on Miles. Disagree on LaMelo.

He's only scoring 5 points more per game than last year in 4 more minutes. But his FG% is down, 3 point % is up by a single point. His Rebounds are up, Assists are up, but his turnovers are also up. That's fine and dandy but I thought he would be averaging 23-24 ppg at this point. He still doesn't take games over scoring wise when it's needed, and Terry which has been dreadful lately is still the main guy at the end of games. Not good. I'm hoping his 3rd year jump is up to at least 25 PPG. 20 PPG isn't what this team needs, especially since LaMelo still couldn't give a hot steaming poo on defense.

Unfortunately, he already is a much worse owner.

He's not as bad of a human, but he's a worse owner.

Yeah, when he got here everyone was excited because we thought we would have something new and Tepper would do whatever he could to get us a SB. Instead, he's been completely awful since he's gotten here. It's bad man. So bad.

A team has to be somewhat close to being a SB squad for it to work.    A lot of the big pieces have to already be there.

During the prime Cam years, that would have been a good strategy.

Rumor was out there that Joe Thomas could've been traded for a first rounder but Gettletits wanted to keep the first rounder.

Anyway, the Rams traded/signed QB1, RB2, CB1, WR2, DE1, and OLB1. That's not sustainable. They don't have a first rounder until 2024. Going all in is what they've continued to do for a few years. I don't see them "running it back." Anytime soon.

  10. The management and their lack of patience is absolutely horrific. We're stuck in a lame duck situation where we have a QB no one wants (just like we did with Teddy B). We now have a top 7 pick no one wants. I noticed an article yesterday saying we're looking at the QB trade market. With what assets? Tepper is going to have to take a massive L after next year and admit he was wrong. That's what I think.
