Obviously all these teams dealing QBs do not think there is a franchise 1st round QB in the bunch. That includes the Panthers who went after Desahun Watson.
So, get a QB, just not with a first round pick. It would be like drafting Sam Darnold or Mitchell Trubisky in the 1st round.
Use the 1st round pick on an impact player that starts day 1.
You'll be sad when you realize Pickett, Willis, Howell, and Strong can't beat out Darnold in year 1. Ridder and Corral are the only QBs in this overhyped group that have a shot at beating out Darnold imo. They should not be taken in the 1st round.
Of all the QBs in the draft. Ridder, Corral, Glass, and Coan have the potential to start year 1.
Pickett would beat out Sam 100 times over. Sam is toast.

A scoring forward with a mean streak. We need that.

Doing this basically takes away his best weapon, which is his running ability. I know because he catches a lot of passes and makes LB's look stupid that people think he is a secret elite WR, well he isn't. He's an elite RB with elite RUNNING BACK catching ability.
I really am consistently amazed that people don't see that the thing that makes CMC an elite player is in fact his running ability.
I don’t think it’s that. Everyone knows CMC is one of the best when healthy. But since he can’t stay healthy, moving him to a Debo like roll can keep him healthy.

Trade for Jimmy G, draft Willis. Use CMC like Debo and let Chuba and Foreman play exclusively HB. Stop throwing the fuging ball to Chuba.
Pickett. Not Willis. Willis has bust all of him. Plus running QBs don’t win Super Bowls.

Been saying this for two seasons now. Some laughed and scoffed at the idea. It is way past time they make the change if they want to keep him and have him actually play and produce.
I would love a very incentive laden contract that pays for performance for CMC. Kind of like your average sales person who gets paid on commission. The better you do the more you get paid.

He would make us instantly better for sure. But would they take a hurt Martnook?

Someone made a good point earlier about moving CMC to the slot and limit his running touches. It got me thinking, Debo Samual’s situation would be perfect for CMC. 70/30 receiver/RB. ESP with Foreman coming to the team, I feel like we could get instant offense.
Thoughts?

If we don't, I'm still open to him switching to number 5 and playing slot WR with 10 or so carries a game
If you keep him, that’s what you do. Make him Debo Samual type player.

For who? Copp is at $3.6M and unless the Jets are willing to carry some of that salary, he's a little out of reach unless the Canes trade Vinny, Nino, TT or one of the young guns.
Necas?

The offense is doing everything it needs to. The forecheck was outstanding yesterday, as it was against Washington and Pittsburgh. The only difference is the puck isn't going in the net.
I counted 6 times yesterday when the net was wide open and/or the puck hit iron. 6 certain goals missed the net or hit a post. You can't blame that on the offense. 44 shots is not the sign of an offense that doesn't produce.
And for those of you who think a move needs to be made, I'd like to hear what that move is, out of curiosity. I don't see anyone out there who will help this team tomorrow or next week that would be an upgrade over someone on the roster now.
A scoring defenseman or another forward that can score. It’s not just yesterday, since the all star break, our scoring has dropped by almost a goal. I would say scoring defenseman. Who that would be, I don’t know?

Good is an overstatement to me. I think mediocre-okay is a better way to put it. 20 TD's and 12 picks doesn't scream good.
Those look like Malik Willis stats from Liberty last year against bottom level FBS…..

We are wasting championship caliber Defense and goalie play with atrocious offense. Window is open. But if you can’t score then you can’t win.
-
Waddell and Rod need to grow a pair and either publicly announce they’re going to roll with their guys or finally make a trade. The leafs got the guy from Seattle which we needed. What do we do?

It’s trade time. I’m ok with sending a big name to send a message. ESP if it comes from rod. We are 1 and down in the playoffs with this offense. It’s getting historically bad scoring wise.

We have hit Rock bottom on offense. Scoring is dead

Chemistry just seems off guys. Here at the game and players are slamming doors and sticks on the bench. Seems like just need 2 good ones back to back.

It’s time…..and it’s against his former team. Let’s go!

Please let us get Tony D back and actually have good offense. It’s been lacking hard. Been 5 games and 12 power plays since we scored on one. Freddie and Raanta not playing well as of late. A week ago we had a 10 point lead on the Pens. That’s all but gone. Let’s turn this momentum around with a W against the Rangers.

Meh I'm over betting on other teams sloppy seconds. If this is all we've got to look forward to just draft your own guy and be done with it.
