All I'm telling you is that he is shopping around. Whether is one other team, or five, I don't know. Money is a huge factor in it. You can't say it isn't about the money, because it almost always is. Other things factor in, but that's the biggest. All players do this, from the stars, to those we consider "nobodies." Nothing out of the ordinary going on here. Just like last year, people left without contracts, and then ended up with the team a little later.
ok you win..... I'm ready for the draft!
-
It most certainly is about money. Long term deal, or not, money is one of the top priorities. A player may be willing to take a little less to play with a better team, but the difference won't be huge.
So you don't think 2 mil for is considering the vet min is like 800,000...I'm just saying if money was the issue then he would have already went to the highest bidder.......
-
Just because you don't like it, doesn't make it any less true. He's the one that has to look out for himself, and his family. I'd shop around to. I'd like for him to come here and have a shot, but if not... oh well.
this isn't about money he wants a long term deal....
-
It's not uncommon for this to happen at all. Money talks.
lol really he's coming a team that is going no where, and he had a season ending injury last year, honest we are the ones taking the chance ........ he can go I rather draft someone cheaper that will work harder.
-
What happen to this? Any update? I'm ready to let him do his own thing.... either you want to be here or not...someone offers you a starting spot on a dominate defense what do you do? leave?????

Remember that we currently have 4 mil in cap space and may not be able to match what he wants to be paid this year. He had a 7 mil cap hit last year, and 5 mil in 2013.
Maybe we can talk him into a 2 year deal where he only counts 2 or less against the cap in 2015, and maybe 4-5 in 2016. If not then it may just end up as a visit and that's all.
remember the Vikings are still paying him so we might be able to get a reasonable deal.
-
Nobody yet has gotten more than two years.
It'd have to be a pretty low salary.
Stevie Johnson

Wonder who screwed up this one. Usually numbers aren't released until the signature goes on the dotted line.
If his agent took those numbers to another team I can see G'man not going for any leveraged better terms and telling them "they might be better off in ___".
same thing I was thinking
-
What!!!!! Really that is really funny lmao 3 yr 12 mil. Yeah he won't get that nowhere. He would not even get that in oakland where they just throw money at players that walk into their facility. What does he think he has done to deserve that. I mean u got to be freaking kidding me.
that's about what Crabtree is getting and Stevie Johnson..... so I guess he based it off he market..... idk. that's what his agent is pushing for. I don't think 4 mil is bad if he can put up 1000 yards

I don't think anybody is gonna give Hakeem Nicks a three year, twelve million dollar contract.
Definitely know we won't.
up to 12 meaning a combination of bonuses and markers maybe really only would be on the hook for 3/8 but however.
-
It's like, everyone tries to be a critic, if information is not presented the way you want it to be so you feel good about it.......I'll leave this here and I'm done posting about this.... We won't sign him unless we offer a 3 yr /12 mil, Gman is only willing to work on a 1yr deal worth about 2.5 with bonuses Hakeem wants more long term security..... you don't have to believe me but that's what the deal is.
-
I have no idea whether the guy who posted this is legit, but I'll make a general statement...
What do people think they have to gain from posting fake 'insider' news?
Oh, so you got a little bit of attention. That's great for ya...until the big 'insider tip' you gave everybody turns out to be bulls--t.
Now you've cemented a rep for being a liar and a poser. From this point on, nobody will listen to you or take your opinion seriously. And heck, maybe you did have something to say, but it doesn't matter now. Nobody's interested.
That's okay, though. At least you got a few minutes of attention on the internet, right?

I love the "who are you" responses on the internet.
What I am really trying to say is, in the most politest of terms without attacking you is that your threads are suspect and those that I posted above are my reasons why.
Like I said, you probably mean well but I can't help but notice the level of your threads have been 1 star. Just my 2 cents.
ok sir I won't post again unless my questions meet your approval....lol

I know OP means well but in between this thread, trade Luke Kuechly thread (which was locked) and Stephen Hill is the #2 WR thread, you need to start treading carefully when you read his posts.
Lol and who are you, what is it that you are trying to say..... if you don't like what I post don't read it......

@RavensInsider
Teddy Williams' two-year Panthers deal: $1.8 million, $220K bonus, salaries $660K, $860K; up to $250K playtime incentives annual
that's not bad at all, if plays good.

Seahawks DE Michael Bennett is seeking a trade to the Falcons and a new contract.
The Falcons hired former Seahawks DC Dan Quinn and could really use a solid defensive end like Bennett.
Bennett, 29, signed four-year, $32 million contract that included $16 million guaranteed with the Seahawks in March of last year. He still has another three years remaining on the agreement to go along with base salaries of $6 million (2015), $4 million (2016), and $6 million (2017).
According to OverTheCap.com, trading Bennett would free up $2 million in cap space next year while also create $6 million in dead money.
In 2014, Bennett appeared in all 16 games and recorded 39 tackles, seven sacks, and a forced fumble
bound to happen everyone wants to shine!

Doubt we'd be getting a 3rd for Hardy if he has to take a 1-year prove it deal.
we will not be getting anything for because he only played one game which means, since he played so little we don't get compensation to replace that product because he only played 50 or 60 snaps last year.
-
Patrick Robinson is still rumored.
link?

Panthers sign...
lol why would you do this?
-
relax Wallace took a pay cut yesterday with a condition he would not be traded so it's a non issue.... he's not going anywhere.
