  1. fwiw I did find this, but I still call bullshit... http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2012/10/24/believe-it-or-not-these-are-pencil-drawings-and-not-photos/ The image of him drawing it could easily be a photoshop intended to make it look like he's drawing it...
  2. I would hollow that thing out and live in it.
  3. I do have to say, R'hllor does seem to have some power in the world... A lot more than a bunch of trees with eyes and the Seven... and I don't even really know what the Great Other has got, other than an army of zombies... At this point it seems the faceless god (if it's not one of the other gods in disguise) is only useful to assassins, and the Drowned and Storm gods are pretty useless...
  4. Maggy the Frog originally told Cersei that she would be killed by the valonqar or something like that, which translates to "brother" IIRC... Not sure about the AA theory part of it...
  5. That's a good one too... I think that Tyrion will get that latter glory, though...
  6. All the prophecy and subtle hints at things/allusion that GRRM uses are great... Tyrion, if you investigate his dreams and tendencies enough, could easily be half Targaryen... There's one dream he has where he's fighting a great battle and is in the midst of fire... Lannisters are dying everywhere in the field of battle, and he's helping kill them... He even kills Tywin again in the dream... Then he realizes that he has two heads in the dream, and that one head is laughing and the other head is weeping... Basically a Targaryen head and a Lannister head... He's also seemingly obsessed with dragons, and he struggles with lust (both notable characteristics of Targaryen blood lines)...
  7. There's also a strong case for Dany being AA... Red Star (comet) Darkness (night time) Smoke and Salt (Drogo's funeral pyre and tears) Born again (walking out of the ashes unharmed)
  8. Yeah my real theory is that it is Jon... but that's almost too expected for GRRM to make it so... so I don't really know... His wounds smoked, the tears were streaming by one of the NW guys involved (can't remember atm), the guy with the star sigil was being ripped apart by the giant... Also, the fact that Mel basically told Stannis at one point that every time she looked for the answer all she saw was Snow... Snow with a capital S in the book text...
  9. Other reactionary takes on it were: Tyrion not being a half Targaryen Jeyne not being pregnant with Robb's child
  10. On the Hound = Azor Ahai theory... Basically, it is one of the more far fetched ones, but The Hound would provide some pretty harsh irony in that he's terrified of fire, he was "reborn" in the Saltpans when the Brave Companions found his helm and donned it to go on a raping/pillaging spree... There's hints by the priest that Brienne encounters that Sandor Clegane is indeed dead, but that the man that carried that name once might not be... http://www.westeros.org/Citadel/FAQ/Entry/Is_Sandor_dead The part about him being AA is the irony of the fear of fire, paired with "dying" and being reborn in the Saltpans (the prophecy from Mel says reborn amidst salt and smoke)... I don't buy it, really... I was somewhat jokingly hopeful that AA would be the Hound..
  11. From Westeros.org's twitter a couple weeks ago... I wonder which theory they are talking about...
  12. No need for spoilers here, right? This is a grownup thread. I think The Hound is Azor Ahai... I think Jon is Lyanna and Rhaegar's son... I think it is possible that Jojen Reed is, in fact, Howland Reed, and it is entirely plausible that Meera is Jon's twin sister...
  13. as an aside, you can stream KSEs entire new album on the web... To keep with the thread, here's an old KSE vid... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szVRUl1eG8o
  14. except that it is a horrible photoshop...
  15. Man... I'm only about 100 or so pages into Gardens of the Moon, and I'm having a hard time getting into this stuff so far... The whole sorcery aspect to the way they are talking about battle is just kinda boring to me so far... I don't see the point in hordes of soldiers if they have a team of such powerful magic users... Also, when Hairlock possesses the marionette, it was literally a LOL and a WTF moment at the same time for me... I'll finish this book, but I don't know if I can continue the series if it doesn't start doing some sort of major turnaround for me or something... Does it get any better?
  16. SO I just googled TWoW because I haven't looked up much since the Theon chapter and the Arianne chapter had been released/read. Apparently, back in February, GRRM read TWO Ser Barristan chapters at some event. Do not read any further if you don't want to read spoilers about things going on after ADWD. So, it looks like Dany may
  17. lol he's signed on as a writer for HBO shows now so maybe that delays the books even further... who knows? The only comfort I take is that the show's producers are in the loop and have been given most of the important details... So, if something does happen to GRRM, maybe the show can just finish out the series...
  18. lol... years and years probably... The show will probably even catch up and pass the books... Originally there were only going to be 2 more books, but I think GRRM's been quoted as saying there might have to be an 8th book... There are a couple... maybe several... chapters that have been released from The Winds of Winter (the next book)... If you haven't found them yet you should check them out...
  19. yeah can't wait for that album... Jesse's always been the better fit for KSE... Alive or Just Breathing still gets in my rotation all the time...
  20. Yeah man I looked into that the other day... It is definitely pretty high up on my list now that you mentioned it...
  21. yeah, I think it is implied that pretty much all the Starks have the warg trait in their blood... as do others in the realm... I almost think that the Targaryens of old also had the ability, and warged into their dragons...
