Like did someone watch the rising starts thing? How did Zeller perform?
Yep. Zeller started and was his usual role playing self. Dunked and shot that mid range shot from the top of the key that he likes. That was the extent of it.
Best part was hearing "From the Charlotte Hornets..."

You know what's hilarious? If Miami loses to Cleveland tonight we remain in 7th where we were BEFORE the losing streak started!
-
Sacramento ain't trading Boogie. Are you crazy?
Yes.
-
If there has been a more negative free agent signing based solely on on-court performance literally right from the start I'd like to see it.
-
The way I see it, we took a hit in order to acquire the players we traded for. I truly believe that with Kemba or Mo at the point, this team would have performed better. With MKG and Biz in the lineup, this team would have been better and we wouldn't be on a losing streak. MKG and Biz both defend better than anyone on this team, and if our actual point guard could run the team, we might be able to score some points. I don't think it's time to burn it down.
We were never going to burn it down. However, there's a LOT of tweaking that needs to be done.

Sacramento doing everything possible to run Cousins out of town, so...
Jefferson, Vonleh and picks.
Get it done.

Al, Lance, & Hendo need to be dumped before next season. Kemba, MKG, & Biz are our core. Those 3 plus a pair of sharpshooters would make for a killer lineup.
The good news is two of those can (and most likely will) opt out and Lance, if not in the coming week, will probably be dumped in the offseason.
-
Denver wouldn't do that deal and I don't blame them.
We just need to bury Lance on the bench. He deserves DNP:CD's way more than PJ, Taylor, Hendo, or Daniels do.
A team just willingly traded for Gary Neal.
Someone will buy low and take a chance. Shaw coached Lance in Indy.
-
Lance for Afflalo.Trade Lance for something valuable if possible and get healthy. Not worried atm.
Kemba-Mo-Boberts
Afflalo-Daniels-Hairston
MKG-Henderson-Taylor
Zeller-Marvin-Vonleh
Al-Biz-Max
That's a playoff team (in the East.)

Should have been expected. Bench guys not used to starting over weeks are exhausted. We have no depth. We need health.
It will get better. Trade deadline right around the corner.

Will someone PLEASE explain the bad decision that Hardy made and provide something that shows this???
I feel like I'm missing some vital piece of information that everyone else has, and is using to drag his name through the mud. I've looked online for any suggestion that Hardy hung out with strippers, or that Nicole Holder was a painted ***** when they met, or even that he was abusive towards the Panthers or NFL in anyway while he was on the commissioners list.
Here are the facts as I see them (I may have missed bits):
- Holder was a waitress when they met
- She is now a marketing associate
- Hardy called the police complaining about Holder not letting her out and being restrained by his agent
- He said /she said statements released
- Holder and attorney part ways due to "irreconcilable" differences
- Hardy acts petulantly in court and is convicted of DV by the judge
- Hardy appeals
- Ray Rice video appears, Hardy added to commissioner's exempt list
Can you not possibly see a scenario in which a man convicted of DV could have made poor judgment somewhere along the line? Seems pretty straightforward to me, hence the reason I'm taken aback with these vehement defenses of a guy who put the organization in a no-win situation.
-
Hardy got the panthers name dragged through the mud or the panthers let Hardy get his name dragged through the mud? Please take some time to really think about whose name looks the worst in all this. The team who doesn't stick up for there guy when facing media pressure or Hardy getting branded as a woman beater with no due process and losing an entire year of his limited playing career.
And I would invite you to take some time and think about whether or not we really need to use another 15 million or so to reinforce a position of strength given all the pressing needs.
As someone said already, he might have been gone anyway based on the cap and Ealy's progression. This headache just makes DG's decision easier.
-
Still sad to see folks making Hardy the victim here. He was paid 15 million dollars to sit at home and made an extremely poor decision that ended up dragging the Panthers organization through the mud. He's hardly a victim, nor is it a guarantee he will be innocent, but too many folks on here just can't take off the black and blue glasses.
What was fun about the second half of this season was watching a very young team grow up before our eyes. We established a great young core of talent, let Cam become the leading voice of the offense, and set ourselves up in a position to be a consistent winner for the first time in franchise history. Was that an easy process? Absolutely not. But at the end of the day, you'd have a hard time convincing me there wasn't a lot of progress this past season.
To bring Greg Hardy back into the fold after all of that progress would be IMO taking a step back and stunting the growth of the young unit that looked like 2013 by season's end. Add in the fact that CJ still has a massive cap number on the D-line and there are a ton more needs on the offensive side of the ball, and bringing Greg Hardy back just doesn't make alot of sense, especially when Rosenhaus is going to be involved in the negotiations.

Streak is over. Got our ass kicked.
Welp. Gave it a good run. Time to tank. Team is going nowhere.
Everyone on the block, part ways with Bud, etc. Tear. It. Down.
-
Much like Bevell and the Seahawks coaches on that play, this conspiracy theory is a case of overthinking the situation.
-
He's what Melvin White and Robert Lester were to the defense last season. Terrific value for an undrafted free agent and provided some much needed production at a spot that sorely needed production but as the talent around him gets better he should fall back in the rotation.

Feels so good to shut down Lillard after his hyped up whining about being snubbed of an all-star game when he went to one just last year.
Yeah, you really showed the NBA you little baby. 6/20 for 13pts with 6 TOs
A couple NASCAR HOF passes and a Lance/Chris Rock bobblehead for Schroeder?
Please...?
-
Golden State has been the anti-Bobcats for the past several years. Every questionable draft pick and every free agent overpay they make works out.
Heck, their last two coaches never had any coaching experience and they're going to win 50 and 60 games respectively.
-
How do you guys feel about Cam attending Hawks games? Is be being too much of a hometown boy for Charlotte?
If he's been attending Hornets games, please correct me. Otherwise I'm interested if any of you have an opinion on it.
He's home for the offseason. No big deal.
In related news, some Bay Area folks may not take too kindly to Steph not adopting the Raiders or Niners.
-
Oh how good it feels to destroy the Raptors
Such a weird team. It's like they show up to simply out-talent their opponent and then when they meet a team that plays within a functional system they can't win.
They haven't beaten Charlotte in two years because they can't win ugly, and obviously they were always going to struggle with a Hawks team that forces you to defend all five guys on the court at all times.

Not quite as corn fed as the B1G guys I was looking at, but looks like he got angrys.
Hometown: Traverse City, MI

Mo Williams dropped 52(!) points on the Pacers to give Charlotte sole possession of 9th. Thanks, Mo!
As much as I enjoyed LeBron going back to Cleveland, I am equally enjoying the Cavs screwing it up again. They are now under .500
-
yup. i still can't believe he led them to the finals once.
I can't believe with all the help he's gotten since then he's one Ray Allen miracle away from being ringless.
-
Cleveland is destroying their future
Their future is LeBron James' career window, which appears to be closing. If only they had made moves like this when he was in his athletic prime, they wouldn't be so desperate and he might have never left in the first place.
Throwback Thursday - Domenik Hixon TD catch to beat the Taints
in Carolina Panthers
Posted · Edited by cbarrier90
I believe that's the last catch Hixon had in the NFL. He signed with the Bears but was one of their last cuts in the preseason and decided to retire.
Luke and TD were absolute monsters. 2 picks and about a billion tackles between them.
