  1. Not long. It's shame too, most of it isn't his fault.

LeBrob lost weight and has been in "chill mode" all season, Love can't defend for poo and is suffering from Chris Bosh Third Wheel Syndrome, Irving and Waiters are shot-chuckers, and they have no bench. The only consistent player on the team is Tristan Thompson.

Would love to see an Atlanta or Toronto deliver them a first round exit.

The elephant in the room: Cleveland will never get peak LeBron. Also, the supporting cast is so young, by the time the supporting cast has enough experience to make a finals run, LeBron will be way past his athletic prime.

Also, you know this already, but not having Josh Smith on your team works wonders.

  3. To be it's not like Lebron is an awful shooter. He can hit from anywhere on the floor. When he gets older he will be able to put more time into gaining a consistent jumper instead of building muscle.

If he doesn't he will "fall off" like Dexterity said and it will be without warning. Kinda like Wade last year.

After the hype machine he has been since he was in high school, this would be shocking. After over a decade of being beaten over the head by ESPN that this guy was the best player since Jordan, it's tough to picture a league where he's not the centerpiece.

  4. Doesn't help that Blatt is running him into the ground at 40 mpg.

LeBron might be the freakiest, most athletic human specimen to ever play basketball when you combine his sheer size, athleticism, speed, strength, etc. It doesn't matter though, he is still human. Joints, ligaments, cartilage, eric that stuff all wears out. Playing in the NBA destroys your back, knees and ankles. Your body can only take so much punishment. The body isn't designed to run around and jump on a solid wood floor, much less as much as NBA players do.

LeBron is 30 years old now and has played a ton of minutes at the NBA level since he was 18 years old, before his body was even fully developed. Look at Kobe, he is physically a shell of himself. He is still somewhat effective because he's a finesse player and jump shooter. LeBron is massive and plays about as physical and forceful as anyone.

I said it 3-4 years ago and I still believe it. LeBron might play and produce well into his 40s, but he's gonna drop off. It's not gonna be a gradual drop either. He's gonna fall flat on his face. IMO, he's only got 3-4 years max as an elite player left. After that he's gonna really start declining.

How many guys his size that play physical are stars after they turn 34-35? I can't think of any. Guys like Duncan, Dirk, etc play completely different styles that allowed them to only take less punishment throughout their career and still be effective once they slowed down.

James is still an average shooter. He relies on strength, speed, and explosiveness. He's the best player on the planet but one day everyone's gonna stop and say "whoa he fell off the face of the earth."

He needs to go to the Vince Carter School of How to Age Gracefully in the League As A Freak of Nature.
  5. The Lakers look bad this year, but I never expected them to be competitive. We won't win a championship until Kobe leaves.

It's actually a brilliant covert tanking plan: Keep Kobe around and give him free reign to jack up all the shots he wants to chase Kareem's record and simultaneously shoot the Lakers out of ball games.

As long as Kobe is around talking about being competitive and scoring points, no one will ever accuse them of not trying to win. What makes the Lakers fascinating this season is watching this freelancing Kobe.

Last time the Lakers went into a talent lull, Kobe demanded a trade. Now all of a sudden he wants to remain with the organization?

    It's brilliant.

  6. This was a bad idea I think that either there should be no general nba forum and post threads in hornets forum, or Have a General NBA section for actual threads not just 1 thread with a bunch of stuff In it. I personally would like to see titles Individually not have to go through pages and pages of this thread to find a story

An extra forum costs Zod $. Besides, if it gains as little traction as some in here are predicting it becomes pointless. This compromise allows the Panthers fans who aren't Hornets fans a reason to generate traffic in the forum while saving the Huddle some money.

Big game threads especially late in the year can take up an OT thread in the forum since they could potentially have playoff ramifications for the Hornets but this is more for acknowledging "Hey! Klay Thompson had a good day!" or "Hey! I'm at a Nets game this is cool!"

Hate to break it to ya, this is fake. There are plenty of these same exact letters on the Internet photoshopped with various universities.

For starters, University-issued letters have the official school seal on the letterhead, not one of the alternate athletic logos.
