  1. No way Utd lets that happen. Odds are there will be more shots fired back and forth before they agree to a swap or De Gea re-ups with Utd.

De Gea has no reason to re-up with United though. When the season starts he'll be less than five months away from getting the move he wants IF they don't figure out something in the summer, which they will. There's really no benefit (outside of getting paid a couple of months earlier) to De Gea if he truly wants to go home to Spain.

  2. I figured Madrid would be more interested in other players.

PSG doesn't seem likely to give up Veratti without Pogba heading to Paris, and it sounds like Pogba will wait and move next summer now. Vidal is probably the next best (and realistic) option for a box to box player.

  3. I think he's saying Ramos might choose the highest bidder. Man United paid Falcao almost £300k/week to be garbage. Not saying RM can't match that. They obviously can. Just not sure they will.

I would hope they wouldn't go over 9 tbh. He was dreadful Defensively last year. Sell him to the highest bidder and bring in Hummels or Laporte.

  4. He's gonna be 30 soon... This is his last chance to cash in so I think money talks.

He can't cash in at RM? They're offering him 8 million per season, and he wants 10. Logic says they'll meet somewhere in the middle around 9 or RM will just say fug it and give him 10.

But tbh, if they could get 50 million pounds for Ramos I would do it in a heartbeat and sign Hummels.

  5. There are a bunch of reports of Ramos to United, but Real Madrid are trying to do everything they can to keep him. Daily Mail, ESPN, Marca, etc... have all commented on it, but I'm not sure if any of the reports are substantiated.

Yea I've seen them and I don't doubt that his agent (brother) is offering him up to every club possible to put the pressure on RM. That said, I would be pretty surprised if Ramos went anywhere, and AS/MArca/Copa/Managing Madrid etc have all said he met with RM today to try and work out an extension. I think it's all a negotiating play to try and maximize his contract. Much like Ronaldo being "sad".

  6. Sergio Ramos closing in on move to Manure.  Ramos just turned 29 and still has 4 years of good soccer left in him.  Would be awesome signing for Manure.

Where are you seeing this? Most of the Spanish press is doing a complete 180 on Ramos right now. Even being reported that he met with RM today to try and work out an extension.

  7. Why wouldn't they go for Pogba?

I'm not convinced they won't when all is said and done. That said, Vidal may be a better fit, will be much cheaper and is a great player (albeit a bit of a loose cannon) in his own right. There's also some rumors that the Madrid board is concerned about how Pogba conducts himself in his life away from the pitch, but I'm not sure how real those are (if at all).

  8. Real Madrid have made it official, the club has exercised the buyback option on Casemiro's contract. He improved greatly with Porto this year, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was a valuable member in Real's rotation. Look for Lucas Silva to go out on loan to Porto in the near future, imo.

  9. Post 90's music isn't terrible, the good stuff just isn't as abundant as 90's music because it became trendy as fug for kids to pick up a guitar, learn a few tabs and be a "musician" in the late 90's early 2000's. Plenty of good stuff out there though.

Those are all mainstream too. Plenty of non mainstream albums that are exceptional as well.

  10. This is neither the biggest story in soccer history or actually news at all. It is one step in the right direction. Unless this somehow brings down basically every member of FIFA, including Blatter, it will remain business as usual with FIFA.

Yep. The people who feel this is the "biggest story in the history of soccer" are the ones who started reading about soccer this week.
