  1. Pogba linked to Arsenal... Arsenal got £100m to spend and the only holes are DM and ST. I see Cazorla, Arteta and Diaby all leaving this summer. So Wenger will be dropping some cash on midfield.

Wenger gonna spend all but 25 of that on Pogba? That's probably what it will take.

With the 142nd selection in the 2015 Huddle Mock Draft the Denver Broncos select Karlos Williams, Running Back from Florida State. Williams is a physical downhill runner who flashes break away ability. He has good cutback ability between the Tackles, and has greatly improved his vision since arriving at Florida State. He loves to lower the shoulders and power through opponents, but can also be a home run hitter if he hits a crease. Williamsis the definition of an athlete. After coming to Florida State as a Safety he converted to Running Back, but maintained some of those Defensive skills with his role on Special Teams. Williams does have a bit of a character red flag, however we've done our homework as an organization and feel confident with the pick. We feel our locker room is strong at it's core, and there are several players who can take Karlos under their wing and teach him how to be a pro on, and off the field. Williams will be thrown into the stable of Backs Denver has, however his size and speed combination could make him a third down favorite. Welcome to Denver Karlos!

  3. nope, you dont have to agree with a signing.  But people dont have to trash a guy that hasnt played a down for carolina yet.  he has a history of injury but seems to be resolved now.  give him a chance to prove it.  Everyone likes to criticize the panthers FO from their couches.  If you can do better, go apply for a job with the panthers.  Also its not like their is a crazy amount of all pro LT's carolina can afford on the market right now.  it remains to be seen if Oher is for depth, will be RT or LT.  Let the offseason play out first.

He has a history of being a terrible Offensive Tackle too but when that's brought up it's disregarded.

  4. I think the mods need to start cracking down on "negative nancys"  Some of you are never happy with anything.  Can we not just welcome this guy to the team instead of bitch moan and groaning about things you dont know poo about or have any control over.

you want people banned because they don't praise shitty players? HAHAHAHAHA

  5. There's a big difference between not viewing a move through homer goggles and scouring the internet far and wide to make dozens of posts about how horrible Oher is.

Last year everyone - including myself - bitched about Gettleman not addressing OT. Now he signs one and everyone still bitches. The FA OT market sucks. It's not like Jon Ogden and Orlando Pace in their prime are out there begging to play for the Panthers for vet min. Bulaga is the only proven quality starter on the market and he's probably gonna get paid like he's a future HOFer due to that.

I'm honestly not sure what some of y'all expected.

Rightfully so too. Jared Veldheer's cap hit last year was 2.5 million and he ended up as a top ten Offensive Tackle.....

  6. If I worked this hard to be so negative about sports, I'd just quit watching.

Why is refusing to view something with homer goggles "negative"? He's not a good tackle, and hasn't been a good tackle for quite some time. Does that mean he can't be a better player in Carolina? Absolutely not. But to assume he's going to turn around is foolish at best. He's been one of the worst Tackles in the league for multiple years now. No guarantee that he's better than Bell at LT either.

  7. Hey man, good point. Smith is a beast. I just think gettleman wants some serious beef in his long term Oline.

Also, off of film, humpries was a 3rd rounder until the combine.. its hype man.

You know who had unbelievable combine numbers? Bruce Campbell.

People said the same thing about Ja'Wuan James last year too. Went 19th to Miami and had he made it to 28th he would be in Carolina right now.

With the 133 pick of the Huddle Mock Draft the Broncos select WR Kenny Bell from Nebraska. Bell is an skilled route runner, both in his tree and his technique. He flashes ability to pluck the ball with soft hands, though he needs to improve in consistency. He shows the willingness to go over the middle, as well as lower the shoulder on the sideline when he could simply jump out of bounds. We love his savvyness on the field, as he really seems to understand where to find holes in coverage and exploit them. We also love his blocking ability, as he's not only a willing blocker but also incredibly effective. We feel we got a steal here, and a player that can help our Offense transition from Wes Welker along with last years pick Cody Latimer. Welcome to Denver Kenny!

  9. Well that's not really what I was talking about.

If a settlement was reached (and I say "if" because that is technically and legally the correct thing to do in light of the prosecutor's own words and the law) , the prosecutor will never know what it is. For all anyone knows, Holder and Hardy could have come to any manner of agreement for whatever reasons. Money can't even be legally presumed to have changed hands. All anyone can do is speculate as to what the settlement entailed.

Whatever dude....I'm done. You can dance around the words all you want. Everyone with half a brain cell knows what "reliable info of a settlement" means.

  10. For legal purposes, that "reliable info" doesn't amount to a hill of beans. It is really immaterial. If that could have been used as actual evidence pertinent to his criminal case, then they would have gladly used it. The charges were dropped because the state did not have a case without Holder's testimony. They couldn't find her, whether Hardy paid her or not. Why are we arguing about this?

You're the one that started the debate, so I ask....why do you refuse to accept that they reached a settlement?

  11. I do realize that. I also realize that Hardy is an innocent man in the eyes of the law, regardless of how anyone wants to spin it. The criminal charges were dismissed, right along with the case.

    Because he settled....

My point was the courts didn't realize the case was "foolishness". They were forced to throw it out because Hardy was able to reach a settlement with his accuser. Those are the only facts we know in the entire case. Everything else is speculation and up for debate.

  12. Actually the state dropped all charges because it didn't have a case due to not being able to find the alleged victim who was not cooperative. The prosecutor never said that Hardy settled as a matter of law, he just believes that Hardy did based on some evidence that he knew about, but wasn't privy to.

You can dance around words all you want, but the prosecution having "reliable info" of a settlement means just that. He settled. It's alright, anyone with a brain knew it was going to happen.

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/02/09/case-dismissed-against-greg-hardy/

  13. The courts ruled. NO charges at all. Since this is a fantasy thread, my wet dream would be that Getts is running a smokescreen and guys like Igo and the Observer are being complicit as usual when it comes to basically their second employer. The coach, the players, they all want him back fighting next to them and so does a large number of fans. The courts found the case to be foolishness. It was foolishness.

Sad days in Panther land for some. ON TOP OF THAT! You hand him to the Falcons?!? If Greg Hardy loves them and the coach and the team put their names out their why do them and a lot of your fanbase such a disservice? This is worse than Pep in my eyes. Sad.

No....the courts found Hardy settled with his accuser. That's not the same thing at all.

As for the answer to the OP question....I thought long about Maclin and Cobb, but ultimately.....my decision would be McCourty. Why? A play making Safety would take this Defense to a whole other level of ridiculousness. Having a Center Fielder like McCourty with a still very nasty front seven and our two emerging Corners would just be silly. Get Cam a LT in round one if the board is favorable, and a couple of WR in the Draft as well as a mid-late round RB.

  14.                      Mitch+Morse+Georgia+v+Missouri+q1d6Xd5SF

With the 124th pick in the Huddle Mock Draft the Denver Broncos select OT/OG Mitch Morse from Missouri. We're not sure if he'll play Guard or Tackle till we get him to camp, but we love Morse's combination of athleticism and power. He's light on his feet and possesses quickness to get to the second level, while still being powerful enough to bully opponents in the run game at times. Morse took over for the Seahawks second round pick Justin Britt and the Tigers really never missed a beat. We think he's got the capability to be a Left Tackle one day, but with Ryan Clady he doesn't have to be. We can bring him along slowly and let him slot in where he wins, and for the Broncos that's a great luxury. Welcome to Denver Mitch!

  15. Then you clearly haven't seen him take on blocks. Shaq bounces off a lot of players for him to be considered a LB. He's a tweener. Thompson is a closet box safety without the experience.

I like him as a DB, but as a Will LB? No.

Again, look at their sizes. TD might lose weight in the off-season but his frame doesn't shrink. That's not the case with Shaq. I swear, you guys love to compare prospects to accomplished guys like Davis or up-and-coming studs like David because of size BUT those two have much larger upper bodies than Shaq. LvD, himself, is 2x thicker than Thompson.

One: I didn't compare Shaq to TD

Two: I don't draw comparisons based on size. I draw comparisons based on the type of player they are and what they do.

Three: Plenty of people have compared Shaq to TD. It's not an invalid comparison at all.

Four: TD didn't take on blockers regularly his rookie year either. A year in a strength and conditioning program changes a lot.

    Stop with the nonsense.

  16. Then you clearly haven't seen him take on blocks. Shaq bounces off a lot of players for him to be considered a LB. He's a tweener. Thompson is a closet box safety without the experience.

I will guarantee you I've seen Shaq take on blocks, cover Tight Ends, diagnose the run, blitz etc etc. Been watching that kid since he was in high school.

  17. The issue isn't putting it on. The issue is keeping it on. Shaq came to Washington at 188 lbs and has been around 215 for his most his career there.

You realize TD loses weight throughout the season right? He finishes seasons around 225 ish. He's only about 235 to start out....even if he finished the season at 235 that's seven pounds more than Shaq. Again....stop with this nonsense. Shaq's weight isn't an issue at all.
