He’s the exactly the type of WR a rookie QB is gonna need to get into a rhythm..and that’s good for us.
-
That’s actually a really good deal
-
I’d ask for their 12 and 33. Outside of that I’d hope we keep our pick.

What exactly does a senior assisted do? It feels like a very cushy job. it would seem to me that Rhule could’ve used them.
Game planning..essentially a check and balance for head coach

I remember when pickles entered the game against the giants…there was so much hope that diminished faster than any qb we’ve ever had..Fox and Moore and the 34 other QBs that year was brutal to watch

Trade back and grab tanner mckee with some extra picks

I don’t think Reich or Caldwell would be a bad candidates to kick start the search.

I’m not a fan of Sam Donald. In saying that..he really has never had an offensive line. So far..in the small post-Rhule sample..he looks like a decent enough QB.

Hell yeah! Great start for the offense..I think it’s our first TD on our first possession this year. Solid running there

7-3 for the good guys. 4 sacks.
-
Can he play left tackle..oh wait we got one. Yeah, fug him
-
15/29, 130 yards, 2 Ints and a rushing TD
-
Good on him. In a way, it helps free up money Tepper would owe him..so he can reinvest that money into a new coaching staff.

We have 18 million dollars in dead cap for CMC in 2023. After that hes cleared off the books. Which is good because if we had kept him his salary for the next 3 years is at least 15 mil per season. We will take our lumps on the cap next season, but 2024 and beyond we should be flush with cash.
True. Next year gonna be rough. Long term, hopefully it frees up space for Burns and a solid free agency to help in 2024. Definitely gonna need to hit this upcoming draft

Lol thats 18 Million DEAD money next year.
We are back in the negative for next season after this move. There is no "cap to spend" next season. We can make a few moved and restructures to get under and sign a bunch of dumpster dives or maybe 1 mid level players and our draft picks but thats it.
2024 the books open up but I'd imagine that evaporates quickly once Burns, Chinn, Horn, Luvu and others start inking deals. Unless of course we just trade them too.Fug. Welp, looks like this and next year gonna be rough

18m next year
Thanks. Sucks losing our best franchise play maker ..least we got some cap to spend next year to supplement picks
-
How much dead cap space will will eat? How much will will save for next year? I liked CMC, but this needed to happen. Fresh slate for a new rebuild. It’ll be fun to see other players get a chance this year. Season definitely over..most fans obviously knew this before the trade

At this point..just hope we end the season with a Top 3 pick in the draft and a new coaching staff. There is some serious dysfunction going on.
So Teppers, Fitt, Reich, Morgan etc, take you (prospect QB) to dinner.. what do you order?
