Everywhere Rhule has been he has produced a far better defense than offense. In college I think I looked it up before, but in 7 years he produced a top 25 defense 4 out of 7 years. He produced a top 25 offense... never.

Oh right. I must have had it the other way around. I wish we would get an offensive minded head coach for once, feels like we haven't had someone that truly knows how to run an offence for well over a decade

  2. Wasn't Rhule known as more of an offensive coach? Surely he should be taking over in some capacity after 3 weeks of complete mediocrity.

Darnold has been a disappointment the last few weeks, but apart from a strong WR room he doesn't really have the support that was touted earlier in the year. The offensive woes are due to poor coaching and poor roster management in neglecting the OL so badly.

One thing to keep in mind, if we don't end up keeping Gilmore and he signs somewhere else, we're most likely going to get a comp pick for it.

I didn't think of that. Depending on our signings, you'd think he'd generate at least a 6th round comp pick for us.

Fitterer out there playing 4d chess

  4. I felt like Gettleman did a really good job getting us out of cap hell and cleaning up the mess from Hurndog V1. He was good at finding cheap bandaids in free agency, but I believe he fell over once we had a chance to be competitive and didn't know how to take the roster from that rebuild stage.

Hurney was well liked by the roster but suuuuccckkkedd big time at cap management. I think he wanted to make every player on the team the highest paid at their position lol

Fitterer's first impression has been very strong. He showed no fear in trading (without getting fleeced), used free agency reasonably well and I really liked the draft. I think the big thing with have is a GM and a coach that are working in tandem. It always felt a bit like Ron and Hurney/Gettleman were never 100% in agreement. The jury is still out on Fitterer but I like what I've seen so far

  5. I'd imagine he'd be in the 50/50 column for Rhule and will largely come down to many how players in other positions he wants to keep.

Ideally we will send Thomas out for the next two preseason games against 3rd string opponents and get him to put up so big numbers and then trade him

Bridgewater had 11 interceptions but had seven potential picks that were dropped or broken up, and none came in a late-game situation.

I think this summarises the problem with Teddy. Even when the game is on the line he will look for a checkdown instead of throwing up a 50/50 ball. He's a game manager that is only really effective if his team is in front. Rhule could have implemented as many 2 minute drills as Teddy would like but Teddy would still want to play it safe in those situations
