Now is the time to solidify all predictions for the upcoming Eagles - Panthers matchup.
Here is what I am thinking.
Both the Eagles and the Panthers defenses are somewhat underrated.
The Eagles have a stout defensive line and inside linebackers. Their weakness on defense is their corners. Unfortunately, the Panthers do not have the talent at wideout to really take advantage here. Greg Olsen will once again need to step up and make plays. Everyone knows Olsen is the only reliable offensive weapon, yet he still gets open. How does that happen?
The Panthers defense is just good all around. The Eagles do not currently have a starting caliber QB on their team, thus will need to run the ball and throw short slants and screens. This will set up the Panthers very well in their Buffalo Nickel package. With Shaq Thompson out, look for Colin Jones (the fastest player on defense) to fill in nicely.
So I see this game as a low scoring affair. Neither team is equipped to do much scoring.
The difference in the game? Cam Newton.
Cam Newton in prime time is money. Look for him to take over the game at times, which will be the difference.

Each week I like to bring to you some of the highlights... and lowlights... of what the fans of the opposing team are saying.
This week I infiltrated the locked down Eagles official message board, posing as one of their own. Here is what I discovered...
Hmmmmm.... a pretty balanced post. Weird.
Also, because I am tired of taking screen shots.... here are more quotes....
There's something about this guy that you can't dislike. I got nothing but respect for Cam and what he's done so far in this league. He's already thrown for over 1000 yards on the year with 8 TDs and 4 INT. Add 2 more TDs rushing a well. He has his team 5-0 and in first place by a half a game and just pulled off a huge road win against Seattle. How about that last drive of the game for Carolina which gave them the lead after the TD pass from Cam to Olsen.
Eagles fans are starting to respect Cam? He must truly be in the MVP conversation.
I guess at this point I would be ok with trading Sanchez for Cam .
No one in their right mind would trade the entire Eagles offensive roster for Cam Newton.
The Panthers are the most fraudulent team in the NFL. Easily. I don't fear them one bit. They've face Luke McCown, Bortles, Ryan Mallett, Winston, and now Wilson...... Two of the five named are backup QB's at best, on a bench somewhere currently, and Bortles and Winston suck. So do their teams. The Seattle winning drive was cool..... The fact is , the Seahawks aren't good either anymore. Are literally a correct Calvin Johnson fumble call away from 1 and 5. We 21'd the Panthers last year with Sanchez. Not worried about those fools.
The Panthers did lay an egg in Philly last year, fair enough. Currently, however, they have the longest regular season win streak in the NFL.
Scam Newton ia straight trash
See, he put an S in front of Cam to make a new word. Never heard that one.

@Nflpanthers07 is my twitter handle.
Luke is literally the unsung hero of this team. Everyone talks about Cam, but really, Luke is the man.
My first trip to Charlotte, after waiting literally my whole life of a short 21 years, the first Panther to stop and sign an autograph and take a picture was Luke. He was not only friendly, nice and funny - but a bad ass as well. Bought myself his jersey and bought my girl one too - because apparently every girl in America finds him the hottest thing around and I'm okay with that.Winner Winner chicken dinner.

Today the Carolina Panthers can earn respect across the country by finally defeating the Seattle Seahawks.
I am in Seattle and will be covering the action from the field. Follow @carolinahuddle on twitter for updates.
Who: Carolina Panthers at Seattle Seahawks
Where: Centurylink Field
When: 4:00 EST
TV: FOX
Panthers Keys to Victory
- Find a pass rush. The Panthers are playing a very bad offensive line. They have to find a way to apply pressure to Russell Wilson.
- Big Plays. The Panthers will need at least two big passing plays for 30+ yards to keep that Seattle defense somewhat honest. Ted Ginn has had a good year, he is needed again now.
- Let Cam be Cam. Cam is having a MVP year and is hungry for a win today. Turn him loose. Heck, I would be fine with Cam calling the plays all day today.

Then what is your point of posting here? Hell, players themselves collect one another's signed memorabilia. Get over yourself.
After ever game they exchange jerseys, shoes, whatever. I guess i should notify them this douche is cooler than them.

Each week I like to bring to you the highlights of what opposing fans are saying about the current matchup.
This week I visited Seahawks.net and found these tasty nuggets...
On the Panthers using newly acquired receiver Norwood for intel on the Seahawks...
I doubt there's a lot of "gleaning" from Norwood,, not sure he's found our stadium yet..
He can give them our playbook, his team is still leaving town with a Loss.
Pretty dumb if you ask me to ask for ways to stop the Seahawks offense. If I'm the Carolina DC, I put Josh Norman on Jermaine Kearse and call it a day. It's not like we're going to throw to 6'7 mismatch freak athlete at TE.
Consensus is that Norwood won't be much help with insight into a dismal offensive scheme and coordinator. I tend to agree.
One Seahawks fan put together this interesting video highlighting Russell Wilson's problems...
Looks to me like ole Russ is developing something Cam Newton has struggled with his entire career, namely, gun shy from a terrible offensive line causing the QB to be more worried about staying alive than throwing the ball. Have fun with that, Russ.
On the outcome of the game, one Seahawks fan had a thoughtful post...
This game will be a validation game for both teams. The Panthers are most likely going to the play offs this year, either as divisional champion or as a wildcard seeing how Carolina's schedule is really easy this year with of course 4 games against the currently horrible Bucs and Saints and another 4 against the even worse AFC south. However, I'm positive the Panthers won't be happy with just another appearance in the play offs. This game will be a good test to see if they are up to the test and able to challenge the top teams in the nfl and make a deep run in the post season.
For us it's something entirely different. We lost some tough games but the NFC West schedule is grueling this year. However, 2/3 of our most difficult games (Packers and Bengals with AZ on the road still to go) came early and it shows in our 2-3 standing right now. The Rams are a strange story as they are always strong in the division. The way we have been playing play offs should still be well within our reach and we could very well still win the division but this game will be very important for us. If we go 2-4, even a wildcard will be incredibly difficult to get as that would require at least 10 wins and at most 2 losses.
In short we need this to get our winstreak going and the Panthers need this to confirm they are a serious threat this year. When looking at those motivations and the way both teams have been playing, I'm betting on the Hawks for this one but it'll probably be a close one.
Pretty accurate, imo.
Overall, the Seahawks fan base appears to be less active, but higher in fan quality. It seems the emptying of the bandwagon has had an effect already. I suspect Denver's fan base has increased significantly this month.

All three NFC South rivals are playing at 1:00 today
Washington at Atlanta
Jacksonville at Tampa
New Orleans at Philly
Obviously, we need that horrid Redskins team to pull out a miracle today. Not sure the other two games matter at all, but fun to make fun of them none the less.

Yeah I just checked it's like exactly 10 minutes. I've gotten mixed up somewhere.
There was an awful prequel done like 10 years ago with a lot of desert

Official Panthers - Eagles Gameday Thread

The Carolina Panthers have the opportunity to go 6-0. Here is what they need to do to get there...
- Win the turnover battle. If the Panthers come out of this game in the positive for turnover differential... they win.
- Take what the defense gives you. A low score can win this game. Don't take chances, see above point.
- Make Bradford beat you. Sell out to stop the run, dare Bradford to beat you through the air.
