I got tested and got my results back the next day. Everybody i know that has  gotten tested received their results in a day or two.

Cool, can you call Mecklenburg county and tell them it's that easy? Thanks

  2. My daughter woke up with a fever, body aches, sore throat. Turns out she came in contact with a friend of hers last week that had been sick. however, her parents never told us, had just said she was "grounded".

So I call today and the soonest we can get her tested is on Thursday. Then it will be 6 days for the results to come back.

In other words, there is no useful testing available to us. Having results 10 days after showing symptoms isn't real helpful.

This is the best we can do as a country?

  3. Do anything you want outside.

Don't fuggin be around people inside for more than a few minutes.

Wear a mask to the grocery and any other needed shopping.

If everyone did these three simple things this thing would go away entirely in a month.

T cells have been mentioned in many articles.

I just found this article a bit more informative than just the blurbs you hear, of course it was longer, thus the TLDR warning.  Missing antibodies might not be an issue was good to hear

There is an excellent two part Covid documentary on Netflix. You should check it out. Goes into this

  5. Hospitals are learning to deal with Covid 19 better. That is why deaths have decreased. They learn new things every week in treating people. When it first came out they put people on respirators much faster and it turns out that was doing even more damage.

I haven't taken the test, I just heard it really sucks.  Jalen Rose was talking about getting back to basketball, and how some people have suggested testing each of the players over and over again.  He said after speaking with his buddies that had gotten tested, there was no way they were going to want to get tested repeatedly.

Eh, it sucked but if I needed it daily to perform my job I would. It's 15 seconds of discomfort follows by half an hour of a tingling in your nose.

  7. I got tested for it yesterday. Woke up with a fever. The only reason I went and got tested was that I had planned on driving and visiting my elderly parents the very same day. Now I'm isolated waiting on the results.

Can confirm, the test really sucks. Feels like you inhaled a bunch of pool water. Has that same burn.

Has anyone tried to explain why its been so much cooler than "normal?"

    Climate change.

    Hotter hots.

    Colder colds.

Average temp of earth continues to increase.

  9. The doctors on my timeline are extremely worried about what's coming but the anonymous social media weirdos are saying it's no big deal and I just don't know who to believe

so i don't think anything "the media" is doing is fear mongering. in fact, i think all the major cable news networks are vastly underplaying this.

The owners of the media companies have lost billions of dollars due to this virus. I don't think they are enjoying the coverage very much.

We already have laws in place to prevent Trump, or any one individual, from turning this nation into the complete dumpster fire that is China.

Do we? Only if the other branches of government perform oversight and enforce them. They currently do not.

Worst case scenario for the offensive line....

Matt Kalil is just bad and Oher can't clear the protocol.

What then, and what could we possibly hope for in terms of offensive production and a final record?

This guy and his click bait threads, amiright?

  13. Two years ago Kalil was really bad. Last year he was injured.

Oher still has not cleared the protocol. And even if he does clear it, for how long? Whole lot of hands to the face in this league.

I think it is reasonable to think about these things and wonder about contingencies.

That is going to be a tough decision if he ends up being the odd man out given if we waive him in order to put him on the practice squad he could be snatched by someone else.  I wouldnt be surprised if he finds his way onto IR if we want to keep him but don't have a roster spot today.  We did the same thing with Hill.

Agree. IR for an ingrown toenail may be likely.

So if KB, Funchess, Hill and Garrett and Ginn were our starting WRs there isnt a secondary that would stand a chance.  We would have the speed and size to blow everyone away.  And yes I am prematurely putting Garrett and Hill in there over Philly and Bersin and the rest but just looking at their size along with speed and the matchup problems it would cause.

Garrett has yet to make any kind of memorable play in OTA's. Not terrible news, but Benjamin, Funchess, Brown all had made plays by this point their rookie years.

If Hill can pull it together, we're going to have to make some tough decisions.   I would be on board with keeping 6, Benji, Funchess, Hill, Byrd and Ginn and hopefully Garrett can be retained on the practice squad.  I just don't think Philly is that good or brings much to the table, and neither does Bersin.  The Broncos showed the game plan to beat us, and what we need is more speed/players that can't be single covered.

Didn't Philly have a huge long pass play against the Broncos? The one where Talib literally had to try to rip his head off to stop him from scoring.

Always great stuff to hear thanks. Much different tone from last year regarding Hill and more of the same for Bersin. I figure you can't see much for the DE competition but any word on the new punters?

They basically just stretch and kick a few balls here and there away from the action.

Swayze is a little fella, I can tell u that.
