herein lies the rub, a new gm is going to be inherently biased against both frank and young, they always tend to want their guys

You probably will lose some good candidates if frank and bryce are pushed on him

The best and most painful route for this franchise is to roll it back with everyone in 24 and either pray it gets better or burn all down after next year.

That said Tepper should probably do it after this season if we only win a few games

I see what you mean, but if the new GM is hired with the understanding that he can hire his own guys after the jury comes back on Frank and Bryce, I think they would agree to that. I think Frank's biggest problem is the roster Scott assembled, Bryce is suffering because of it as well, but he's got bigger problems. (no pun intended)

I thought it was the same old mcafee panthers talk: “Tepper isn’t patient blah blah blah” I swear everytime I hear them talk about Carolina, they say the same exact thing. “Tepper isn’t one to be patient”. Well, he was pretty patient with Rhule, should of fired him at the end of his first season. Is that how everyone thinks, Dave isn’t patient?

Yeah, I've never understood where that narrative came from. He was also patient with Ron and Hurn-Dogg as well. Too much so, actually. Tepp's got a lot of flaws, but impatience isn't one of them,

Nah, bro, I just don't echo the language the team does and you can't handle it.   You flipping your poo off a quote from Thomas Brown that it has to exactly how he said it.  That can only be the truth.  You got the quote.  Meanwhile the same day you post Thomas Brown selling bologna about our trash WR corp to the media lol.

I do understand how they work. That's why I don't use the language that Thomas Brown built this on his own from the ground up.   That's PR/spin wording to make our OC sound as best as he could be.    Which is certainly fine.  Again, that's what teams do.  But that 60% Brown spoke of?  That's Frank's O.   And Frank put it in there.  Brown didn't have free reign to just make up an offense.   And that without a doubt Frank Reich choose to get this team up and running using his base O.  Although it's hard to call what he did at 0-6 getting this team up and running.

you are more than free to claim anything you want.  I don't give a rip.  I'm not going to concede how I talk because you don't like it.  As someone pointed out to you, we likely aren't actually saying very different things.  You just insist people talk about things from the angle you want them talked about.

I understand coach-speak and PR BS, but you're suggesting that a member of the PR team told Thomas Brown, "Hey, you're just a figurehead, Frank is the real OC, but we want you to go to the press and lie about your involvement so we can blame you if it goes sideways." to which Thomas Brown replied, "okie doke!"

Pending Frank musters a few wins after the bye and Bryce look ok he is perfectly safe.   He gets a year 2.

I think Fitt is a dead man walking.  Think Tepper takes him out in season.

That would be ideal. The new GM can evaluate Frank and Bryce next season. Fitts gotta go. His track record is proving to be awful.

The team played for Wilkes cause they wanted him to get the job. It happens all the time. If they played with the passion and desire and determination they did his time as the head guy, I would take that over the listless, lost team we are now. At least we had a mission every game to pound the rock on offense and terrorize you in defense. I wanted Johnson from Detroit,  would've settled for eagles oc, but we got a stubborn, old school coach who the game is passing by.

The defense got worse under Wilks, surprisingly. Again though, just because the current coaching staff/FO sucks, doesn’t mean we need to go to 1980s .500 ball. If the team played for Wilks, they should have done better than 6-6, and made the playoffs for him.

The thing is, Wilks punted from midfield, when there was no tomorrow, in a must-win game, a playoff elimination game. I'm sure he thought to himself, we have a 14 point lead, and my defense is going to be good enough to stop them the rest of the game. Except it wasn't, and by the way, here's Brady and Evans, again and again and again.

We have seen that song and dance so many times as fans, and just because it's familiar, doesn't make it right.

Yeah, Rivera was probably watching and screaming at the TV, “Jesus man! When you’re on the hot seat you gotta go for those!”

  7. Reich called the plays that kicked Bellichick in the dingaling in a superbowl. His record in Indy was better than Fox's, Rivera's, and Wilks'. He actually had back to back winning seasons in the Indy sh!t show. I wasn't crazy about the hire and was hoping for a young OC, but damn, can we quit acting like Reich is a bum? He's not. Like most NFL coaches, he goes as his QB play goes.

To be fair, Riwilfox "play not to lose and go .500" ball would be an improvement right now lol

  8. This year the S2 got a lot of hype because it might have helped predict Brock Purdy's success. I can see why GMs valued it, because it's the closest thing they have to predicting the multitudes of Sam Darnold's out there. (all the physical tools, arm talent etc., but can't put it all together.)

Stroud's agent did him a disservice by the way his S2 score was handled. It looked bad. I was a Stroud guy come draft time simply because I just think you don't move up to #1 to pick a guy with historically bad measurables (BY). Maybe if I was married to a billionaire I'd feel differently.

As a pre-draft Stroud supporter, I'm still surprised he's doing as great as he is. But hey, Bryce has "IT" factor. Or so I was told on here.

Wilks should have been the guy. He won the hearts of the players. He knew what do with the running game and had Darnold playing his best ball.

No thanks. Mr. "Punt to Tom Brady when my career is on the line" makes Rivera look like Sean McVay. Not to mention how our defense got worse under Wilks.
