Yea!!!!  We won yet another meaningless end of season game that hurt our ability to draft a better player next year.

Honestly, we do this every single fuging year and the fans somehow never learn.  How many times do we have to do this before the fans start to realize it's a vicious cycle that you can't break until you embrace a rebuild?

Again, 2 OTs just dropped us from 1st to 8th in the draft.  Which in the end, probably cost us an additional 1st round pick, maybe a 2nd First, and probably a couple of other middle round picks as well as we'd have been able to trade back.

In no world is that worth the 2 wins that do nothing but provide a temporary enjoyment for those too shortsighted to see how it's not a good thing for us.

just stfu......  as fans we want to see our team win ALL THE TIME.....  constantly hoping for your team to lose so that you MIGHT improve a bit by drafting a higher pick is just sickening

Mark me down as someone who saw yesterday's win as pointless

I prefer the competitive losses then the pointless wins. We are now outside the top 5 and while we are more than one player away from turning this team around sometimes that one player CAN turn the team around

    2020

    #6 Herbert

    #7 Brown

    2021

    #7 Sewell

    #8 Horn

I dont f'ing care ....  there is not such a thing as a "pointless win" for someone that roots for a team and call him (or her) self a fan.  You ALWAYS want your team to win. F the draFt..... the excitement of a win supersedes the "meh" of a draft pick ANY DAY!!

I'll say it again for those in the back:

TANKING IS NOT A LEGITIMATE WINNING STRATEGY AND DOESN'T GUARANTEE DRAFT SUCCESS. IT ALSO COSTS GMs AND COACHES THEIR JOBS AND THEY LIKE GETTING PAID MILLIONS PER YEAR.

...... and players.... I might add

    2 weeks

    1 win

    1 loss

both inspiring football! Bryce Young by all accounts is a good person, great family structure, well mannered. He's the type of guy you dream takes your daughter to prom and even proposes to one day

But what he ISN'T is an NFL caliber QB. Andy Medicare Dalton threw nearly every pass on the pass tree yesterday, he has an arm, he can sling it, he can look over an offensive line

Young has a noodle for an arm, he can't see over the line and watching him yesterday on the sideline he's literally the shortest person on that sideline including team personnel

Young "MAY" do well in a dink/dunk offense, something like 49ers / Dolphins where he has speedy guys who can do all the work. What Young will never be able to do is stand in a collapsing pocket and deliver a 20 yard laser to a receiver middle of the field, it's just physically impossible

After the Dolphins get blasted tonight, their GM will sheepishly call Morgan and offer a trade, accept it. You can still get a 2nd round pick for him, cut the losses and move on

    *sigh*

You guys are loosing your mind. All old azz Dalton is doing is winning us 7 games or so and keep us from rebuilding. Tepper has broken our fans so bad they fill his stadium and are happy as pigs in mud for a team that looks ok loosing to a 0-3 team.

You should focus on your homework and go to bed in time.......

    He most likely will be.

also, as fun as this is, Dalton is getting a huge aid for this O being a 180 from all the film on the Panthers.  This isn’t what the rest of the season will look like.

it’s like Cam’s return. Reality came quick after that epic game

".... I'm BAAAAAAACK....."  We all remember that game..... and what followed.

The worst possible scenario for this franchise is a 6 or 7 win campaign (led mainly by the defense) which would make it harder if not impossible to move on from Bryce in the draft. Imagine feeling as hopeless as you do right now again a year from now. And possibly years after that as we move from stop gap to stop gap (i.e the first few years under Tepper) and whatever is left of this fanbase continues to wither away or becomes Baltimore Raven fans. The Bryce trade may go down as the worst in the history of professional sports. This franchise passed on CJ Stroud and Caleb Williams, for Bryce Young, while trading away the guy that would have been Bryce Youngs number 1 weapon in the same trade lol.  The stench of that deal will linger as long as Bryce is QB1 and we don't have a franchise QB of our own. Its not like the team will have to 'tank' in order to lose 13 games anyway, but for the sake of my love of football there has never been a better time to lay on the damn floor.

oh sigh.....  perhaps you should ask an adult how pro-sports work....

I doubt it will be reasonable. I liked that we seemed to be officially tanking but if we start signing 1-2 year deals for older vets that aren’t long term, we are just right back to the 5-7 win range screwing if draft slots when we need that.

No team/owner/headcoach/player will EVER go into a new season with the intention to "tank".  There is just too much at stake.  Will a owner be happy if attendance at games goes in a downward spiral if the team doesn't perform? NO! Will players be happy if their value goes down if they are not put in a postion to shine? NO! How about the coach(es)? Do you think they'd be happy with a dismal season? NO!   WE WERE NOT PLANNING ON TANKING AT ANY POINT....

...was embrace the suck.  Imagine if Wilks didnt really try and we finished that year as the worst team.  We would still have all the draft capital and DJ Moore to build around Bryce or whom ever.  I think Reich and company would have felt better because they could in theory, pick another qb if Bryce wasnt the chosen one, the next year.  Wilks is a great coach and he was coaching for a job Tepper was never going to give him, which is sad.  Tepper fugged us like the great glass elevator from Willy Wonka, sideways, backways, frontways and any other ways you can think of.  It just amazes me how bad we screwed up a tank in a year we desperately need to tank.

Having an offense this terrible lets the defense look alot better than it really is.  Teams can sit on a small lead and play it conservatively b/c they know no chance the panthers score. I look at it as more everytime the panthers terrible offense actually put up decent points the defense still allowed the opposing offense to put up more .

    huh?
