I have to disagree. Bryce was 11/18 for 94 yards. Take out the 1 pass for 46 yards, he was 10/17 for 48 yards. That is nothing short of pathetic. We could have won the game, but that would have been due to our defense and Hubbard, nothing to do with Bryce.
I mean this is just false. If we won it would have been because of that TD throw from Bryce to Chark that should've happened

Wow this thread is asinine with all the people believing we would be in the playoffs with Dalton starting
-
Nope. Take OL or WR and give Bryce a shot
-
Yeah he can. He's regressing because of the lack of talent, poor coaching scheme, and poor o line play this year. He needs a reset and its too early to call him a bust. Let's see how he's performing around this time next year.

I think you need to give a rookie qb until Thanksgiving of year 2 before you can start labeling him a bust

Bryce is bad. I respect that we took a swing at a QB and it was an exhilarating month or two leading up to the draft pick but it was a swing and a miss. It’s okay to acknowledge that
It's literally too early to acknowledge that

The number of people excusing Reich’s performance because “he had to coach a qb he didn’t want” is fuging pathetic.
1. There is no evidence behind the rumor that Reich wanted CJ and Tepper made him draft Bryce. Absolutely none.
2. Even if that was true, which its not. That’s still not an excuse to not coach a team to the best of your ability.
I hate this forum now, this place actually used to be fun.

how many underthrows did he have today, how many times did he bail from a clean pocket, how many times did he miss a wide open wr? keep making excuses
Honestly... minimal

This site is so damn toxic.
Bryce is a ROOKIE surrounded by terrible offensive talent, terrible o line, and terrible scheming. He will rise above of all of this. Bryce has that dawg and grit in him.

Sorry guys, the one and only person we can’t get rid of and fire is David Tepper.
Franks presser says it all and Dan Patrick’s take on it is spot on, we have a meddling owner who doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing, overriding the Football people who are telling him otherwise. Frank wanted Stound(who I also wanted) Tepper want Young and that’s why we are in this mess!
There is no basis or evidence to the “Frank wanted CJ but Tepper forced him to take Young”. Please stop spreading fake news

I mentioned in another thread, but he’s yet to pass the eye test for me. I have yet to have one singular moment where I was “wow’ed” and felt like we were good moving forward with him, regardless of coaching.
Cam - I knew it. You could tell immediately.
Joe Burrow - even though they lost a lot, he was dragging them within winning.
CJ Stroud - not trying to start any arguments about what he has vs Bryce, but he clearly has the making of a franchise QB.
as the #1 pick, franchise QB, you should be elevating everyone around you and giving us some moments of “comfort”, per-say. Drag this sad sack of WRs to the end of the game, clawing and fighting instead of throwing pick after pick and showing very little interest/urgency.
Im not out on him - for the record - but to say I have been underwhelmed would be an understatement. Maybe I’m jaded from the tank of a human Cam was and his legit Superman will to carry this poo organization to the finish line.
Also, if he NEEDS it to be perfect around him to succeed, then that’s not the definition of a franchise QB I really want to build around.
That's crazy. I completely disagree. He has shown me enough for me to believe that he has what it takes to become our franchise qb, and I think he will.

Lions kept their starters in the whole game. Bryce is a rookie. He can throw. He'll be fine.

Like it or not, Bryce is our best offensive player. He's not the problem and has been getting better week by week.

Bryce is getting better by the week, that’s my guy. He’ll be fine

Man I wish Young was taller, I'm not ready for all the short qb jokes that people also make about Kyle Murray

It's gonna be Young

Right when I first saw the trade I was like that’s not bad… and if the qb we take works out then the narrative will change

I want them to be aggressive and go get our QB. We will live with trading trading draft picks. We have good pieces. We need our QB
Exactly our young core won't be young forever. You gotta take risks if you want to be successful.

Sign Carr as bridge. Get Stroud or Young (ideally Stroud) even if it means trading up.
Carr is not a bridge and probably isn't looking to go somewhere where he is seen as one

Brissett + Corral + 1st rd QB. Make it happen Fitts.
Would rather have Sam as our bridge qb than Brissett

I hope we get this next hire right or it's gonna get worse before it gets better.
The Browns were in a 20ish year streak before Mayfield or Watson, depending on how you define their QB success.
That was all very poor ownership and management, which we could possibly have.
My biggest fear is that we flub this coaching search and then it becomes painfully obvious that Tepper is one of the worst owners in the NFL. That is a nosedive that is very difficult to pull out of for an NFL franchise.
Honestly we just need good coach + franchise qb. Tepper can be ass but still manage to get lucky with that
season is over, are there ANY bryce believers left on this board?

With actual WR talent around Bryce, he'll be fine. I believe
