but seriously it’s draft week and we got our franchise on the way
-
What a revelation someone alert the NFL executives about this next level analysis!
-
The trade looks better and better for the Panthers leading up to the draft. At the time of the trade, there was no clear cut number one pick. If the trade were to happen today with a team desperately trying to land Young, we’d be paying a higher price for sure.

funny enough, I misread the quote and thought he was saying “I would not bet my house on it”Fair enough!

Wait.. there are still people who think we're drafting someone other than Bryce Young?
it won’t happen but in some alternate universe we take ARVery real possibility with his abilities he is the best QB in the league in five years

What if you like raisins?
not as much as my house in this market! -
I wouldn’t bet my house either…Young is such a heavy favorite at -1200 the return would be a pack of raisins.

How so when he can't even get on the grown up rides?
he’s been the best quarterback in his class since 8th grade, and he didn’t put up a ‘Cuba Gooding Jr. as Radio’ performance in the cognitive S2 testThe Panthers offensive line is actually SMALLER than the Alabama offensive line Bryce played behind lol. Some of y’all need to get some fresh air and a life.

Young is by far the safest bet. If we didn’t take young, it’d probably be AR, then Levis.

This is my worry - they're going to be drawn in by the off the field stuff and ignore the on the field stuff.
on field stuff like winning the Heisman in 2021 and carrying a lackluster Alabama offense last season lmao, are you trolling or ? -

I really don't get what people have against this man. Yes, he is short for an NFL quarterback, but damn if he doesn't make up for it in almost every other area. Personally, I'm looking forward to a new era of Carolina Panther football and I hope everyone else is on board to come along for the ride.
Some psychological issues in play for sure with those people. Bryce’s psychologist Dad could tell us but I think it has to do with low confidence and a need to be proven right, despite evidence against their position.- 2

I want to be like Bryce Young when/if I grow up.

Awesome interview. Couldn’t be more excited to have this dude as the face of the Panthers franchise for years to come. I can’t imagine a more mature and down to earth 21 year old, let alone a former Heisman winner about to be drafted in the NFL. He’s so chill and humble but an absolute dawg on the field.
At this rate I’ll be surprised if he isn’t a main face of the league by 2025.

Teams picking 1st overall can't announce it until Goodell says it on draft night
is that a thing? I heard the league would prefer teams not to tip their hand for ratings but didn’t we announce we were getting cam, or maybe it was just leaked to the media. -

Tomorrow’s pressers will be well interesting now.
Kyle Bailey at WFNZ just said they sent out the stuff to all the media people randomly out of the blue on Friday
Very well could be announcing Young is the pick.
gonna be strange to have a media darling as QB

Does that account for Stroud's stats being significantly better than Young's this year?
show me which stats are significantly betterAnd it does matter Stroud was throwing to a generational WR in Marvin Harrison Jr. and the top WR in this draft’s class as well. Meanwhile Young was throwing to the equivalent of Philly Brown and Brenton Bersin last year, so take the raw stats with bag of salt.

On the flip flip side, if Stroud doesn’t play out of his mind the final game of his college career which he had two weeks to prepare for, he might be a borderline top ten pick.
can’t edit so I’ll try this….CJ actually had over a month to prepare for Georgia

And the obvious answer to the OP’s question is duh. Bryce was the number one prospect in the entire country coming out of highschool. He is H1M.
Move over Matt Rhule, the Rivera era was the real disaster
in Carolina Panthers

ngl I only read about the first quarter of the OP but I wholeheartedly agree with everything said. A competent coaching staff and front office would have won at least two super bowls with Cam Newton. A brilliant staff like what KC has now would have been a dynasty.
Rivera came from the 80’s hard nose style defensive football, and that’s all he knew how to bring to the Panthers. We basically had an elderly person with glaucoma driving a Mclaren with the flashers on. SMGDH every time I think about it.
Maybe we finally hit the jackpot with Reich and company.
