Some really high level QB evaluations going on here guys. Let’s be sure to send a link to the Panthers FO and coaching staff, surely they haven’t thought of things from fan message board sites perspectives!

Young processes like an M2 Max MacBook Pro, the next best guy is running a 2016 intel i5

Newton may be a dolt but he’s got 1000x better access than anyone here, and that line about “Stroud isn’t better at anything except being taller” matches what every evaluator says.

Young is the pick and any other talk is nonsense.

I’m still hungover from the 2015 huddle draft party

The Matt Ryan comps seem to make more sense, which would be pretty damn good as much as I hate to say.

fwiw I have seen some national media recognize this team could turn it around rather quickly
from Nfl.com recent power rankings, which place the Panthers at 18
”After years of being left standing in the game of quarterback musical chairs, the Panthers finally took matters into their own hands. Carolina sent multiple draft picks and star wide receiver D.J. Moore to the Bears in exchange for the top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. While team brass decides on the next QB1, GM Scott Fitterer has stayed busy building up the roster for new head coach Frank Reich. Wide receiver Adam Thielen, running back Miles Sanders and tight end Hayden Hurst were added to the offense in free agency, with Andy Daltonimported to presumably back up the eventual No. 1 overall pick. Hit on the QB, and this team could get very good, very quickly.”

On Mel Kipers recent mock draft (we got Stroud) Mel basically concluded that “the panthers won’t have a chance at the playoffs”. Like bro do you even watch football? Do you see the NFCS?

I go back and forth, but when I watch a game like this I start imagining that some front offices might have him rated as the third quarterback.
It does concern me that Stroud had on and off play until the last game of the season. There are countless examples of guys playing out of their minds for one game, then reverting back to their mean. If we go CJ, I hope that game wasn’t just a flash in the pan. -
Young but if the team lands on Stroud I’m still pumped. Fuggin awesome we had the guts to trade up to number one and a coaching staff that may be the best this franchise has ever had.

I was wondering when someone would use chat gtp around here.

So we have former players "critiquing" guys coming in from college, but none of them are concerned with Youngs size, which is easily the biggest knock on his game as well as arm strength. It sounds like they are not doing a very good job.
I guess they all have crystal ball and know he is going to last 10-15 years as a starting NFL QB and his size wont be a problem at all.
Well, no they don’t have crystal balls. But they have decades of nfl experience which twitter and message board coaches and GMs have zero of. So I’ll take my chances with their opinion over faceless accounts online. -

Lol none of the players want to say anything bad about another player who is about to get drafted and cost him millions...who woulda thought.....
We have recent evidence with Tua, young is smaller than he is.
Former players critique incoming prospects all the time, it’s literally their job -

I don't think anyone doubts that he can potentially thrive in the NFL. But for how long?
If this guy gets broken in half in his second start the media dunking is gonna be ferocious.
That’s my point, none of the numerous former NFL players that rave about Young have those concerns. It’s the twitter and message board coaches.

CJ will be the pick. You simply cannot pass on a guy who threw 4+TD passes in 7 out of 13 games last season. Bryce threw 4+ TDs in 3 games last season.
helps to have a generational WR and other NFL weapons- 2

Funny how many twitter and message board coaches say Bryce is too small for the NFL, yet time after time after time former NFL players line up to rave about Young’s prospects of thriving in the NFL.
-
Bryce is the next Mahomes. CJ is the next, I dunno Justin Herbert. Do with that what you will.

Got to cope with this......need help....
I do see some Aaron Rodgers in his game. That ability to feel pressure, get out of the pocket while continuing to look downfield to throw is what AR made a career out of.- 1
Is Bryce a #1 prospect if he didn’t go to Bama?

On the flip flip side, if Stroud doesn’t play out of his mind the final game of his college career which he had two weeks to prepare for, he might be a borderline top ten pick.
