Yep, saw one mock where we traded back at 33 for 2nd round picks and thought that was great too. If there is a giant batch of WR's available (which almost every mock shows in R2) gamble and try and get two of them. Or get OL and WR.
This. One thing I’ve come to realize about the draft is, after the top 15-20 picks, It’s more about finding the right players to fit what you do. Look at the Rams this year, after trading away all of their top picks a few years back.

Dan going hard right there talking about how we need players that are passionate about football and inflict pain on the opponent and how we havent had enough of those players in recent history.
Yep. Horn about to be traded.

Lions are 20-30% of the stadium. They’ve travelled well all season.
I just read that a lot of what we hear at home is fake or at least prerecorded.

Is that audio real? Lots of cheering for a Lions TD.

Will we hire another Assistant GM?
-
I don’t know. The problem, as I see it, is if you hire a defensive head coach and your offense is successful then your OC will get hired away and you have to hope you can hit again. I think that’s a bigger deal than replacing a DC in today’s NFL.

Do they really not have some sort of heated, vibrating cuff they can put on CMCs leg instead of having a guy squat there and shake it, the whole game?
-
I think I want the Niners to win for CMC but part of me wants the Packers to win because it would probably piss Rodger’s off.
-
On the bright side, we are one game out from having the 2nd best odds in the draft

Sell them for $5 billion and enjoy watching games from my yacht

Having an offense this terrible lets the defense look alot better than it really is. Teams can sit on a small lead and play it conservatively b/c they know no chance the panthers score. I look at it as more everytime the panthers terrible offense actually put up decent points the defense still allowed the opposing offense to put up more .
Opposing offenses generally get more possessions and time of possession.

The offense going three and out, constantly, sure didn’t help.

Why wasn’t that considered a safety if we tackled the guy in Endzone isn’t that two points for the Panthers?
We fumbled it into the end zone. They didn’t take the ball there.

For those who don't want to click the X link to see the article:
• CAROLINA PANTERS: Panthers owner David Tepper already has fired head coach Frank Reich and some of his assistant coaches. Many now expect that general manager Scott Fitterer will be next, according to league sources.
Tepper has retained a search firm to help him guide his franchise for the future. Should he fire Fitterer, Tepper then would have a clean slate to offer a prospective head coach and GM, though Panthers assistant GM Dan Morgan also has support within the organization, according to sources.
Whoever takes over, this team does have issues it must overcome. Carolina traded its 2024 first-round draft pick -- which became the No. 1 overall selection -- to the Chicago Bears last year to be able to draft Bryce Young, who has endured a difficult rookie season.
The Panthers are missing other offensive playmakers and have a shaky offensive line that they need to restore and rebuild. Tepper is ready and willing to spend, but there are major holes and concerns to address.
Wording is a lil different from the OP. "retained a search firm?" So it's the same one from last year that got us Frank Reich?
Maybe just the wording. You put Lawyers on ’retainer’ , maybe the same in this case.

Clifford is just like Frank. Old and the game has past his old coaching ways.
Even in the huddle the players look disinterested in what he is preaching.
I would love to see what this team could do in Mike Dantoni fast pace system. We need to play faster with the athletes we have on this roster.
Agree. I used to be a traditionalist. I wanted hard nosed, ball control, defensive teams. I changed though and have been waiting for years for my teams to get with the 21st Century.

Brown and Luvu. Burns if it was a reasonable price. That’s it. That’s sad.

Probably figured fan morale was already about as low as it can get, so might as well do it now.

I forgot he was on the team

I hope this is not the case. The only thing that would make it interesting is that McDaniel is done as a head coach, so it seems he would be likely to come with Bill as OC and could that work with Bryce. I guess the question is, how similar is Bryce to Mac Jones because Bill has been a nightmare for Jones.

Sorry but that’s wrong. Scrambled eggs and ice cream is fire.

Ryans is doing fine but it helps that his GM drafted Stroud, Anderson and Dell this draft. If Fitterer had been fired with Rhule, Frank might have lasted longer.
That’s why I said ’at least good’. Jury is still out but it’s a promising start.

I think it might affect some candidates. Some people are just so confident in themselves that they believe they can make it work. Some people realize how rare these jobs are and will take it because they might not get another opportunity. Look at the Texans history. Ryans still took the job and appears to be at least, a ‘good’ young coach.

Brandon Miller is going to be a star

He was my preferred pick just because there is a premium on shooting. I didn’t expect him to be this good, this fast.
