Wild lol y’all choosing to start your week off bummed out about the Panthers when we just had an exciting draft??? There will likely be plenty of time to be upset about the Panthers this fall lol why not enjoy not stressing about them since it’s still springtime lol.

If Corral shines, I could see it. If the college season goes like it should, you are talking a 3 first round picks and maybe a day 2 pick or 2 for a top 2 pick. That’s 3-4 impact starters to add to Corral if he shines.
If Corral looks OK like say BC did then an elite level talent QB is a no brainer just like Iky was a no brainer pick at LT. Now if BC played like Slater at LT, would you have traded back? Imagine Iky was the only top LT left and had a lot of interest. I have no idea if Corral even has it in him, but if we have threads on Phil Snow as interim head coach we can conjecture on what if Corral plays like Russel Wilson in limited action (Sam goes 0fer) with a terrible D such that we get a top 2 pick.
I’m a big Corral guy but I just have a hard time seeing him play pretty good football and us still finishing with a top 2 pick. We’ve got a roster that ON PAPER is pretty dang solid minus the QB. We do have an absolutely brutal schedule but I think if we even have average qb play we’re a 7/8 win team. If we had average qb play last year we might have sniffed a wildcard imo.

I’ll add that I hope Corral looks lights out but for some reason we have to play Sam half the year and he goes 0-9 and somehow we luck into a top 2 pick and get a haul of picks for someone to move up like Miami got from SF or even the Browns got from Philly for Wentz. We aren’t that lucky but wouldn’t it be nice to have our cake and eat it too?
If we finish with one of the first 2 picks we ain’t trading back my guy

We did the right thing fug the Browns

I’d take Nick Foles in a NY minute on this team. If we’re on the hook for Sam’s contract anyways and can’t find a trade partner let him battle it out to start but inevitably end up being either the 2 or 3 QB that doesn’t even dress.

I think if Corrall is our guy that they do not have to take him in the first round. I think he will be there later in the draft.

This was a good move y’all lol relax. Look at last years draft class we know what we’re doing in the draft. Game day…that’s a different situation lol.

Speaking from experience I can say being humbled can make you better at your craft. Will Rhule get better?? Only time will tell but hopefully Tepper has taken some off of his plate so he can focus strictly on coaching up the players and let Fitt and Morgan handle the personnel side of things.
-
I just think after these past few years there’s zero confidence in Tepper. I agree with you op…I think it’s lip service but people hate him to the point where even if they know he’s not being honest they’re done giving him the benefit of the doubt and I can’t blame them.

I kind of read the same but I wonder if he wants to gamble a lil 1st. I could also see someone Luke the Eagles trying to package both 1st and Minshew to entice Fitt. I'm guessing a lt or Willis if staying at 6. I also think Robby gets trades during the draft.
I’m doubling down on Mailk or trading back I don’t think we’re taking a LT at 6

I think after that we’re either trading back or taking Willis at 6 and I can’t wait to watch every one who hates it cry on here lol. MalikWillisSzn baby!

I’m hype for it! I know we’re all down on the panthers but we knocked last years draft out the park. If we’re gonna be awful again this year I’m gonna at least be excited for the draft.
-
One thing I’ve learned is the closer the draft gets the less you should listen to the media. Teams are doubling down on their smoke screens and leaning on their connections in the media to get false word out.

The risk with that approach is you could end up with two mediocre players when you could have had at least one great one.
Once again there’s no guarantee that he’ll be great just because it’s a oline taken earlier. He could be just as mediocre and I think it’s harder to find good QBs than it is to find good Ol so I’m ok with taking a swing early. We don’t know that icky or Neal or cross will be great just like we don’t know if Willis or corral or Pickett will be awful.

Some guys are way bigger gambles than others.
There's no quarterback in this draft I'm willing to gamble on.
Fair but I just feel like it’s a deeper draft at OT than it is at QB and I’d rather punch my lottery ticket on one then look for a LT later in the draft especially with Campens proven ability to turn late round Ol into high quality players. We all have our preferences though.

I don't want to gamble at #6.
Every draft picks is a gamble. Ol can be a bust just like QB/DE/CB whatever can. Tony Mandarich was a sure thing once upon a time and crashed…NO ONE knows how good any of these guys will be idc how many articles any one has read/tape they’ve studied.

This ain't it bud. Tepper isn't some 9-5er on a vacation he's currently the richest owner in the NFL. Ya'll gotta stop with these awkward comparisons.
Ok bud. Tell y’all what let’s plan a trip together and last minute I’m gonna not pay. You got me right?

I’m not mad at Tepper in this. If you and a friend agree to split the cost of an Airbnb (even though you have more money than your friend it’s still only right that you split) and your friend all of a sudden can’t pay for their part of the Airbnb then idk about y’all but I’m gonna cancel the Airbnb. Yeah Tepper could pay for it himself but that wasn’t the deal and it’s unfair to blame him when the city reneged not him. Be mad at him about Rhule Not at trying to honor the contract.

Robby needs to stop concerning himself with personnel moves and focus on not sucking this year.
Working in the “higher end” hospitality industry you end up crossing paths with a lot of NFL guys/celebrities. I cannot overstate how disliked Baker is universally by every one …and I mean every one I know when he stays with one of the hotels I work with. It’s well known he doesn’t tip, is incredibly rude and looks down on any one who isn’t a millionaire/any one who can’t help him better his life somehow. If he was Aaron’s Rodgers talent cool be Rodgers jerk like. But he’s closer to Sam Darnold in talent. Robby absolutely needs to work on his craft he was awful last year but he’s doing us a favor speaking out and vocalizing what so many who have had encounters with Baker. Not a single teammate came to his defense. Not one…Baker is a locker room cancer and Robby is right in not wanting him here.

Don’t be so thirsty you’ll drink poison thinking it’s water. I know it’s been awhile since we’ve had good qb play but Baker stinks and is a bad locker room guy….He’s not worth any of the trouble.

If this happens I’d bet a significant amount he ends up in Miami. Idk if it’d be a disaster or fun to watch but they’d be must watch imo

The players have to want to play here too my guy. It’s not just QBs telling us thanks but no thanks.
