Everyone who wants to trade for Watson either A) don’t realize how much 3 first round picks go or B) think we trade some scrubs and get him.

”yeah give them Sam Franklin and half a bag of donuts they’ll do it”

Trading 3 first round picks would be like trading Derrick Brown, Brian Burns, and Jaycee Horn for him.

Not to mention that salary. I truly believe the folks that are all over this have no regard for the cost involved.

Unless something drastically changes it is going to play out with 10 straight losses. The Giants were the worst team left on the schedule and we scored 3 points.

So far a drastic change for this staff is switching which side of the field our WRs line up on.

Ok, I'm not sure I know how to answer this.

Reddick is 27 and I doubt he wants to waste away on losing teams for chump change. He has a couple of year left in his prime. Thats the only reason.

You made a post then decided to finish it off with, "A losing team". Why the need to throw that in. We have no idea how this year is going to finish out.

Not to mention that possibly our best player is on a 1 year prove it deal and I dont know how much it is going to cost to resign him to a losing team.

Riddick? As long as we stay away from the Watson trap. We should be OK. At least for the next few years.

Edit to add; Why did you have to add that last part?

:sigh:  because you end up with a poo line like we are witnessing now.  You cannot win in the NFL if you dont score points and block for your qb

You can't win if you can't stop anybody. You have a very linear way of looking at things.

I think it happens regardless, unless we have a regime change which i dont see happening.

Our biggest need is offense at almost every position. We are fuged unless some of these guys develop.

Right now we have a RT, a #1 WR, and a All World RB who cant stay healthy.

You obviously are in a bad way. I am not going to go there. So, have at it.

I doubt it really will, we are not going to do anything to the OL in the draft except draft project guys that can develop to play 3 different positions on the OL.

This staff will sign whatever fodder they can in FA on day one to set the draft up to take the top defensive player on their board.

If we sign Watson. That is exactly what will happen.

I don't think they trust the Oline to consistently block for anything more then a 3 dropbacks routes... And now the WR can't catch 3 dropbacks routes.. so I don't know where you go from there??

You Keep Pounding, that's what you do.

I don’t get it. Rhule said they had a second round grade on Brady at guard but they refuse to play him at guard…

Only one of many things I don’t get about this staff.

Except he played LG just a few games ago. Not very well, but hey, it was a guard position,

These guys aren't catching easy completions right now.. And Sam is accurate most of the time either...

And it's clear the team don't trust the Oline to block for more then 3 seconds..

QB's who can't pass, OL that can't block.....I am not sure how you adequately polish that turd.

In fairness, our running game is middle of the pack in the NFL. Maybe we can just put PJ in and run the wildcat for 4 quarters.

Hey, I gave my opinion on what they can do to make it easier on Sam. Other than throwing in some RPO, I'm out of ideas.

I do know there are way too many intermediate routes being run. Everything but the Check Down is down the field. That does nothing to help Sam.

Beginning of the year we were doing much shorter routes. Crossings, and Slants, Jet Sweeps, and Smoke Screens. Now, everything is deep.

    What are your thoughts?

Offensively I don't see how you fix this...

Rhule was honest this time.. There are to many things going wrong to fix.. We can't even depend on our supposed  strength WR corp to catch passes right now...lol

Go back to the O we started the year with. Getting Sam some easy completions, then going from there. Maybe run the ball so Play Action actually works. Get back to basics so to speak.

So I’m supposed to be concerned with our coaches record DURING a rebuild.

    nah……I’ll wait

If you don't poo on everyone, and everything. You are labeled a Cockeyed Optimist, or a Homer. If you want to sit at the cool kids table, you gotta throw some poo.

Last year, everyone knew we had a crap team. But somehow this year it is supposed to miraculously turn into steak and potatoes.

    It's a rebuild folks.

Jake isn't coming to save us like he did Foxy.

Cam ain't coming to save us like he did Rivera.

And the supplemental draft isn't coming to save us like it did for Capers.

In all honesty, and I'm not playing "hindsight is 20/20," I would've invested no fewer than three draft picks in offensive linemen. It was apparent to those around the league that Fitterer went all panic-buy on Elflein and Erving. He was spending good money on guys whose production and potential had, at no point, justified that cost, and it made people worry we were bidding against ourselves for those acquisitions.

Can you prove that bolded part? Or are you just making things up to make you point?
