  1. The NFL got so big because everyone with a TV could tune in on Sun and a game was on. The more they take games off over air tv the less people will care.

I stopped with the NBA years ago because they moved to cable with there games now I care about the NBA 0%. Have not seen MNF or TNF in over 2years and it gets easier and easier to miss.

Less people watch this game and they can't sell advertising if no one is watching, hope they don't forget what made the NFL great.

I get the feeling that Barno and Brandon Smith will benefit from the coaching as much as the new defensive alignment.   Good point.

I also like McCall, but I would not play him more than 25 snaps or so per game.  I have never been a fan of Roy--but I am biased against anyone who is here because Rhule coached him.  Do I see Tuttle stepping in as a NT?  Not really.  Brown would make more sense, especially in goal line situations.

Tuttle has always been a NT, a pretty good one with NO. His weight mite not be listed right become he looks bigger on tape. He is the NT, Brown would be a good fit at 5DE.

It would be a shame to stick Brown with taking on double teams all game at NT.

The DL is set with Williams, Tuttle, and Brown.

Chinn not playing FS is a win no matter where he lines up in the new D.

I have to agree. For me if I'm going to risk it all I'd rather shoot for the moon with Richardson. Of all the top QB's Bryce is the only one with durability concerns and skipped the combine. But Stroud is the best option for what we want to do on offense.

Young also skipped weigh in at his pro day. That's got to be a red flag that the combine weight was not really his natural weight now.

  4. Draft edge in 2nd play Luvu at ILB and edge like he played a lot last season. Luvu has great pursuit and get off so you can move him around at both spots. The rookie would not have to play as many snaps that way.

Chinn will be on the field, they will not be in 3-4 base much, more Nik(3 safeties) and he will also be the dime LB.

I have been going back and looking at the D from last season the Panthers ran a lot of 3man fronts (3DTs) with standup rushers I don't think this D will be that lost with the "scheme" change

  5. The team ran lots of 3-4 looks over the last few years. Phil snow was a multi front guy. Last year alone Burns was more a stand up rusher then most seem to remember.

So base off what they have played before I would say:

    olb- draft pick/Haynes/Barno

    Ilb- Luvu

    Ilb- Thompson

    Olb- Burns

    De- YGM

    De- Brown

    Nt- draft pick/ McCall

Was last season the only one Reich coached?

No, but last season record is what everyone brings up. I just think it's funny that's why he is a bad coach because he went 6-6 with someone else staff but it's ok you can go 3-5-1 with your hand pick staff and that don't matter at all. Again we talking LAST SEASON.

Imagine if DJ don't take his helmet off and we miss the extra points, or CJ know how to play Corner Wilks could have EZ been 8-4 with games we had in hand. Just saying

It is hilarious how you Wilks cult members are convinced Wilks is the next great coach and will lead the Panthers to multiple Super Bowls and multiple winning seasons with no proof that he will except a mediocre 6-6 season and a terrible 3-13 season.
A 6-6 season where he got blown out by the Bengals, Steelers and Bucs.
Steelers and Bucs losses doomed him.
You know what would likely happen if Wilks became HC. Mediocrity at best. Wilks wasn’t gonna be the next Jeff Fisher. He likely wasn’t going to lead the Panthers to success.
Not saying Reich will either but I’ll take him over a coach whose coach systole is stuck in 2003. Sick of Rivera style coaches.

    6-6 > 3-5-1

  8. The problem I see is people get caught up in just take a QB any QB if he is the 1st rnd he must be good. Then history proves other wise.

I think QB is the hardest spot to play and bad teams pick at the top of drafts and they don't have the time to wait and end up rushing a guy even if he not ready. Mite be why so many bust.

Like I have said give me a QB that looks good on a bad team that will show more how they can handle not just always having the better college team around him and he probably won't be a 1st rnd QB.

  9. I think it's funny people act like we can't do worse then Wilks, we can and already did with Rhule. People say try something different like we didn't just get out of a 2 1/2yr hell with Mr "the way of the Panther"guy. Dude came in and tried to remove all history this team had.

I'm a Wilks guy, all I'm saying is why not give him a shot? Look no farther then LV they got the new toy after there temp guy got them to play better and he was the hot OC but forgot that just because you can call plays don't mean you can run a whole team.

Oh no not a RR 2.0 the winningest coach in Panther history, I would take 4 NFCS titles and a SB run over always chasing the new shiny new toy. Also RR got to as many SBs as S. Payton. (Sucks the NFL didn't want us to win one) just my two cent

  10. AR is not a good passer and guess what the top thing an NFL QB is asked to do. People knock Corral for an RPO system but would take a RPO QB that wasn't even as good at it in the 1st rnd. He is no Cam, with our 2nd if still there sure why not but top 10 I would pass.

If top 2 QBs not there re-sign Sam(He was one of the top QBs 2nd half of season) let him and Matt battle for QB1. Good coaching could make them look just as good as some of this guys.
