I am shocked we did not pick any oline so far.

Center for sure but yeah.  Another tackle would have been nice.  But shoot, a couple of the good centers we passed up could have played at guard or tackle and had experience there.

  2.

    Another wasted pick. . .

. . .this will go down as a historically bad draft for Carolina.

    Jaden Crumedy

    DL, MISSST

    6-5 / 305 LBS

    Rating: 69.70 (Role player)
    Pro Comparison: Levi Onwuzurike
    Summary

Jaden Crumedy is a sixth-year DT with positional versatility because of his length, fluidity and natural power. Looks like an NFL DT right now. Best out at 5T where there's more space for him to operate. Burst and bend are showcased out there, and his hand work flashes are impressive, although at times, he's gets lazy and blockers easily get into his pads. Works blocker's edges well and will scrape/spin off blocks, although it's somewhat of a rarity that he gets clean quickly. Not a double-team eater, and for as clearly athletically gifted as he is, he's not in the backfield much. High motor. Will miss a lot of tackles and not an awesome block-shedder right now. Hands are not exactly active. There's some intrigue to his game because of the variety of his positional usage and his burst/bend, but not a ton of upside because of his age and lack of pass-rush move deployment.

    About
    • Career: 53 games played (47 starts, including 39 consecutive)
    • 2023: Career-high 35 tackles
    Strengths
    • Has the frame to play multiple spots up front
    • Flashed pass-rush moves at 5T
    • High motor
    Weaknesses
    • For as athletic as he is, rarely in the backfield
    • Doesn't deploy his length how he should, easily controlled
    • One of the oldest prospects in the class

I know they’d never do it to Bryce, and don’t hate on me for saying this. But if Rattler is there… I’d take him. Let him know that Bryce is the guy, but why not?

I'm thinking Sam Hartman with our last pick.  Or go after him if he's an UDFA.

Jacob Cowing in the 5th or 6th

He's going to be a longtime successful slot WR in this league, I'm quite convinced of that.

Have him back up Thielen this year to learn and then take over as the starting slot WR next year, he'd be Bryce's safety valve with his crisp route running and sure hands.

He's also the 5th fastest player in the draft.  I wonder how he would do as a kick returner.

  5. Trevin Wallace

    LB, UK

    6-2 / 241 LBS

    Grade Analysis

    No grade analysis available.

    Rating: 70.80 (Part-time contributor)
    Pro Comparison: Kaden Elliss
    Summary

Trevin Wallace is a stocky-ish but springy off-ball LB. Fast when he wants to be but really struggles beating blocks to the football. Will overtly avoid blocks to take himself out of the play on a routine basis. Not around the football much in coverage but demonstrated a keen sense of sinking in zone and has the athletic chops to run with TEs and RBs in man. That type of plus explosive athlete. Just doesn't always fully tap into it. Hip fluidity is good. Quality tackler. Rare to see a miss on film. Just needs to play with more authority/passion when tracking the football against the run. Has the explosiveness to be a stud blitzer but way too timid in those situations. Flexibility is lacking to work around the edges of blockers. Flashes of athleticism to be a good three-down 'backer in the NFL. Needs to crank the intensity tracking the football.

    Strengths
    • Serious juice to the football when he sees his target
    • Fluid enough to sink in coverage
    • Awesome tackler
    Weaknesses
    • Has huge problems beating blocks / tries to avoid them
    • Needs to play with more passion and energy

  7. A pure trash pick based on who was still available who were starting caliber. . .
