Panthers selected an inconsistent TE who can't run block and is worse than Stephen Sullivan?

That is a bit over the top to me. Legette is athletically on higher level - like noticeably higher- to me. And I have not been a basher of either of those guys. (I mean I don’t think the are trash).
I get the impression you think less of them than I do so you are putting Legette down pretty hard.
Every player in the draft is a gamble, we’ll see soon enough what the deal is.
Do you believe a 1st round pick should be an immediate impact player and likely starter thatvis NFL ready? (Especially on the worst team in the NFL)

Why wouldn’t Legette and Brooks start? They say Brooks should be ready by training camp. I’m alright if they ease him in a bit but it seems pretty likely he starts at some point this season. And there’s no other WR on our roster who does what Legette does. He’s a starter.
How is Legette better than Mingo & TMJ? There's a good chance he doesn't even beat them out in camp.

you’re really complaining about the lack of rookies starting for our team? yikes, dude.
The Panthers are so bad that the picks in the first 3 rounds should start if the front office is good

Luke McCaffrey. There's the Cooper Kupp of the draft
Washington doing very well in the draft

Kamren Kinchens reminds me of Mike Minter

Dude, I could not care less about draft value from some message board poster. I also don’t worry myself with bitching and moaning about a draft pick on the night it happens.
What I do know is that all the other teams have passed on players the Huddle has been clamoring for. If this “top local talent” was so good and worth the medical risk in taking, they’d be off the board.

Wilson slide continues... What do you huddlers know that NFL GM's don't?
Slide? It's the 3rd round

Being “from the Carolinas” has absolute poo to do with reasons to draft someone.
Were you the one who shot down my value on Kobbie Turner & Zach Tom too because our front office did better with their LB picks with Morgan's lead? Being from the Carolinas means nothing? A team has no excuse for missing on their top local talent for special teams players & project players from around the nation!

Dan Morgan was calling the shots before this draft? Weird, I thought it was some other guy.
You want to believe Dan Morgan wasn't putting the boards together? Ok. Morgan just sat back and watched as he let everyone else scout & write reports, right?
Asst GM just gets the coffee & drives the players around?

I'll give Morgan the benefit of the doubt that he knows a good LB.
Brandon Smith & DJ Johnson agree with you

Payton Wilson, Cedric Gray, Jeremiah Trotter Jr, James Williams (3 from the Carolinas)... you pick Trevin Wallace?
Adisa Isaac & Bralen Trice for the edge are still available. What is the thinking here?

Jeremiah Trotter Jr is happy the Panthers skipped over him. Dan Morgan is a joke

Brandon Smith, DJ Johnson, Trevin Wallace
Dan Morgan knows how to spot that LB talent!

Dan Morgan is mailing it in. Morgan hasn't been able to pick a LB since he's been in the front office.

It's 2024 an ACL injury isn't a career ender anymore.
RBs have a short shelf life & it takes a couple seasons to get back to speed with some slow down from an ACL for several positions.
Going to tell me otherwise?
If all you want is project players with hope from the first 3 rounds, you'll be happy being a fan of a team that never sees the playoffs.
I want to build a dynasty with at least 1 to 2 SB appearances every decade. Panthers have been doing that until the 2020s

Possibly. I don't think he's a bad running back, I just think we have weaknesses at every other position more than the running back.
You don't draft ACL liabilities in the first 3 rounds

Scott Fitterer snuck back in the war room? What is going on?
What could the strategy be? Better know they're going to hit on these late round gems!

Remember this...
we could of had Pearsall & Jenkins

This team isn't one early-mid second rounder away from contending it'd a great move picking up a 5th this year and getting back into next year's second round.
By that reasoning, trading up 1 pick was a horrible move

We are about to get a really good player here
Panthers took a pass. Panthers could have traded down out of 33 & 39. Would have been better off.
