There is the very real possibility that Hardy gets suspended by the NFL for six games or so.

Last year, the Panthers paid Hardy for a full season but only got to use him for one game.

To sign him again, Dave Gettleman would have to be able to accept once again devoting a contract and a roster spot to him for less than a full season of work.

That could happened but again it might not.. The NFL can use their former FBI investigators....and find out the same thing some of us think happened. . Let's be honest the Panthers investigated the situation and were willing to let him play until the jury trial. Until the Ray Rice tape made the public turn against all players even accused of DV . I'm telling you guys that a lot of lies were given credibility in this case.. and a lot of national people didn't take the time to actually research the testimonies and uneven statements made in this case..Maybe that what the Nfl will see as well....

The League is going to review the bench trial testimony, take into account the settlement agreement, factor in the DV poostorm from last year, and they are going to either suspend him as a first time offender of their DV policy or suspend him for detrimental conduct. It'll happen before March 10th and it will have an impact on his market value. Considering all that and the contract negotiations the Panthers have to navigate, it's best to move on.

If they look at the bench trial... he might not get any suspension time.. that trial was a travesty. Nobody in the case was credible. .

What do you expect from a powder sniffer or what ever the drug relationship was. I do question that if Hardy new of the drug use, why was she his girl friend?

Picking up contributing UDFAs is very nice, but, me personally, I don't use it as a justification for making mistakes in the draft. That being said, I think that Gettleman has done a good job, but he has't been perfect. But perfection isn't the standard that one should be using to judge G-man. His general management is still evolving, but I like the way we're headed so far.

You can support and like the job Gettlemen is doing..but you can also critic his mistakes. Nobody is perfect..

Charges being dismissed is not really the same thing as being innocent.

We all know what really happened here....he paid her and she went away. We will never know how innocent he was in all of this....my personal belief is that the truth lies somewhere between their two stories. Not as guilty as she portrayed him, but not as innocent as he was portraying.

So again we all believe that both were at fault for the situation that was a misdemeanor. . And nobody should have been punished and they should both just never be around each other.. like I guess has happened. .

Hardy's defense team paid to have them done. I don't think it would be a smart move for Hardy to deny the NFL request to read them. Might make Goodell's decision a whole lot easier.

Even with the transcripts most of us here and people in the local media...questioned how a verdict was even reached by the 1st judge. ..remember a lot of us found every body in the case non credible. .

I don't feel those circumstances are relevant. The two things I think that matter here are

- Was damage done to the NFL brand

- Was Hardy at all responsible

So it's not relevant that Ben was accused of rape 2 times before??
