Then why were the Pelicans so hard on moving up for him?  And the Blazers were fine staying at #3?

Even if we preferred Miller (I did), not trading down one spot for literally ANYTHING is just really bad.

They don’t have a PG they have wings.. We have a PG and a wing deficiency..

    Not that hard to understand..

Also do actual no what the Pelicans were willing to trade other then rumors??

I’d want Zion and even then I’d also want their 14th pick because gambling on Zion’s health in and of itself is worth the 14th pick.

The safer option is taking Henderson or Miller and trying to develop them into a star. If the Hornets don’t feel like they can do that then they need to self-reflect on why and make the needed corrections (i.e. coaching changes, front office changes, etc.).

Zion, Trey Murphy or CJ and 14 for number 2.. Maybe even add some future 1st round picks..

Which would be point guard or off ball shooting guard right?  Athletic wings are a dime a dozen these days.  The rare ones can defend and shoot the three. Which Miller sounds like but another Miller could fill that SF spot at 27.  Leonard Miller is 6'10" with crazy wingspan and young and raw. Just saying. Go best available then fill needs.

No a 2 way wing player are the most valuable position in the league today..

I disagree. I think Scoot and Memo can coexist in the backcourt and we play our bigs in the front. Today's NBA is a lot of small ball.  I want to see us being a transition fast offense with solid bigs and wing scoring off good passing. We likely not gonna really compete in the playoffs but let's be exciting fun ball.

Small ball is more about shorter front court players.. And the reality is small backcourts haven’t worked since Isiah Thomas and Joe Dumars.. And that worked because Joe was elite defensively and a dead eye shooter..

Some people here are sold on size and we can’t change anyone’s mind.  Scoot is much better for so many reasons but these folks can’t see it

It’s the nba what do you expect.. What exactly do you think makes Wembey a Generational talent..

Miller can get fuged. The bullshit with the gun did it for me but then he is invisible in the tournament. Can't have that with a team of guys who can't win a play-in game. He's not an alpha and if he's a Paul George? That sucks because George is an empty All-Star. Does nothing for us.

Scoot has the mentality this team is severely lacking. It's not even a debate.

What did Scoots team win again??

Man feel free to google Miller and research his involvement with whatever is out there.  The Hornets can absolutely pass on him and IMO should.  Off the court is one thing but I seriously think Scoot is the better player.  Having Terry feels redundant but we need to trade Terry anyway.  Miller without any red flags and playing lights out every day would have changed that but he didn’t and wasn’t that guy for many games at Bama including the NCAA tournament.

Miller is at worst immature as hell but I would be worried picking him that high without knowing how much he really wants to succeed in this league.  His talent is really nice, I won’t deny it

What are you talking about.. Dude avg. 19pts and 8 rebs a game.. You don’t do that if you’re not consistently playing good most of the year..

  8. The workouts will give me a clearer picture.. If Scoot can becomes a Donovan Mitchell.. Then we might have something.. If he can improve his shot and guard bigger players.. Then yes him and Lamelo can work.. If he can do all that and become a point of attack defender then he’s definitely the pick.. But right now Miller is the better fit and prospects..

Not very many that's for sure.

Wade is probably the best answer but you can't forget his teammates he played with Shaq and Lebron.

And Wade was at least 6’4 ., Not that much smaller then his counterparts..

This is why he will be the pick. This dude is getting comps to Tatum/PG.

I will say it again he's 6'9 with a handle and can create his own offense for himself and others. He's a certified playmaker who can also shoot.

Pair him with Melo and watch these dudes grow together.

Even if he couldn’t create his own shot (which he can)

a 6’9 40% 3 point shooter and 4 position defender would be a top 3 pick any year..

I'll believe it when I see it. Took way too long for Mark get his time to shine. When he did he balled out. We're cellar dwellers until we get a real coach in here and not Ron Rivera 2.0

Big men take time.. Nobody was screaming Start Kia when Borrego was here..

There's no point in berating each other over choosing between Scoot or Miller. As long as Clifford is coach either one will be lucky to see significant minutes.

MKG , Kemba, Bimybo all got significant minutes their rookie year under Cliff
