my gut says the falcons could be really dangerous if ridder is even somewhat competent

I don’t.. There defense is built on a old foundation and I think losing Peves as DC is going to hurt.. If they got Lamar then they would be a problem.. I have no faith that Ridder is anything other then a below avg QB from a bad QB draft that their staff likes for some reason.. And it will cost them.. Plus they are basing their offense on being the best running game ?? hahahaha this is a great passing league and they maybe have 2 pass catchers that might be good?? Yeah nah I’m good ATlanta sucks!!

We aren’t sure he can see far enough over the line yet.  Let’s see him play a few meaningful games before we start pounding our chests.

Okay .. Again the topic says “if” that word kinda adds the caveat in the opinion…

And I’ll pound my chest anytime I want to…

    KEEP POUNDING!!!

I’m not sure we’ll dominate for five years. The NFL is set up so that everyone is .500 and it’s hard to be consistently good, that’s why very few teams are.

If we have a top QB and the rest of the division doesn’t.. Well it is what it is right??

  4. This is not only on Bryce shoulders either..

JMO I have little to no respect for the rest of this division…

NO is older and trying to hard to hang on to a meh team instead of just going thru a rebuild.. They are putting off the inevitable..

Atl has actually fooled them selves that a 3rd round QB and a antiquated offense system is going to carry them to success.. Their coach will get fired when they realize they are in a passing league and can’t win running the ball and a avg. at best defense..

Tampa is starting a rebuild and at least 3 years behind us on that mission..

  5. Something I remember from a J Rodriguez interview discussing Evero is he’s the type of coach and scheme developer who is inventive and creative… He takes old ideas and adds his on spin to them.. So what we thought about the 3/4 defensive philosophy for years might be wrong when considering Evero different spin on it.. Then you add in the base foundations of Capers who has been a 3-4 guru and we might need to sit back and watch the show..

Yeah even if we as fans are having a hard time neatly fitting him into a 3-4 position, it doesn't mean Evero doesn't have something in mind.  I think he'll be a critical part of this defense and he will be in 92% and above snaps.

That’s the best point here.. We’re not getting paid to construct this defense.. Evero is let’s see him cook before kicking players off the team based on our non professional understanding.. That also goes for YGM, Shaq, Henderson, and Luvu.. Everybody thought Shaq wouldn’t fit and be gone .. But he talks to Evero and all of a sudden he takes a pay cut to stay and be in his system..

Only started more than 10 games once and only one 500+ yard season.   Going into year six and already on his 4th team.  Only target more than 40 times in two seasons; the other three seasons averaged two targets per game.

What part of any of that screams #1 TE?  It's sad that our TE room is so bad people think Hurst is a legit #1 TE.  I mean, he's definitely the  #1 TE on our team, but that's like saying a person with the highest grade in remedial studies is actually smart.

Easily you need to change your view of a TE #1 depending on the offense he’s in.. He didn’t play in 1 offense in his career where he was the number 1 option so why are you looking for Olsen, Klece, or Andrew’s numbers.. Also while you’re looking at stats show his targets his drop % his blocking grades stuff we need from a TE 1 on this team..

He was brought here to be a safety blanket for a rookie ..Something he has been proven to do.. If you’re looking for a upside guy that’s Tremble.. But our rookie needs at least 3 competent targets he can depend on Hurst, Thelien, and Sanders were brought here to be that..

Fine...as in ok, mediocre, so-so?  I couldn't agree more.  Hurst is a #2 on most teams, Thomas will struggle to find work after the Panthers finally ditch him and Tremble is a #3.  Lol, you mentioned Sullivan as if he mattered.  Don't forget about Ricci!

Agree to disagree on Hurst.. Reality is he’s a 1st round talent drafted by a organization known for making good draft moves.. Hurst is a lot better then you think..
