Says who?
Deshaun Watson

Don’t blame Houston for not wanting to trade him. But they f&$@ed up. They should have not gave him a no trade clause contract extension...
I think Watson knew what he was doing when signed in September.. with his 24 mill net worth and all the health concerns that come with playing football long term why not ...
many of us would happily retire with ease with a 24 mill net worth at any age .. Texans don’t have any draft capital for the next few years ... best move is too get rid of him ASAP ..
they did good job getting the price super high as is .. pull the trigger the longer this plays out the worse it gets for the Texans ...

If we get Watson and can have a stellar defense we can go back to our rightful spot at the top of the division.
You mean after Tom Brady retires ?

only plummets after the draft. Stock probably can inch higher until then.
The more vocal Watson is the price gets lower ..
-
Smartest move Texans can do is get rid of him while is value is high. Watson price plummets for Texans the longer this goes on ... and at the point I think Watson is Carolinas too lose ...

Fitzpatrick for back qb or stop gap starter if we whiff on everything..
would love to draft pitts but we are not drafting a TE ... Joe Brady offense doesn’t value them .... I wish they just tell Joe he is a WR... assuming of course that samuels ain’t coming back (which I think is 60-40 he isn’t coming back)

Bridgewater was a stop gap starter till we find our long term starter... and also he had an opportunity to be the long term starter.. Him and Joe Brady were together for a season in NO... also Bridgewater was 5-0 in NO.. we signed him to a market deal .. 20 mill a year is starter money.. Can’t be mad about the signing but it would been nice if Bridgewater played better.. I think Tepper sees that if we had an above avg starter we could have won a handful more games .. Bridgewater is just an below avg starter . So why did we sign him ? Because we know he was a high character guy that has a lot of experience as a starter with a winning record.. it was low risk low reward deal and we could lateral quickly if didn’t work out and can’t say the panthers didn’t try.. it just didn’t work out... he was not paid or thought of as a Franchise QB just a stop gap untill we find the QB ... I say worse case let’s sign Fitzpatrick if miss on everybody else smh

I'd love if we'd be able to get Zach, or even Justin Fields
I like Zach not a fan of Fields

IMO I'd rather keep Shaq Thompson, but if he could be used to get QB Deshaun Watson maybe we could put him on the trading block. Only if the Houston Texans decide to put Watson on the trading block!
Max Comp for the trade:
2021: 1st Round Pick & Bridgewater & Shaq
2022: 1st Round & 5th Round Pick
2023: Rather not give anymore capital for the trade for Watson, but if have to probably no more than a 6th Round Pick
This is just my opinion because I'd probably want to keep Shaq until next year!
If it got us Watson yea .. seems cheaper to trade up to 2 or 3 ... I like Zack Wilson....... but either way seems like the FO are doing their due diligence and understand your ain’t winning anything without a QB ...

IMO:
2021: (1st) Round and (3rd) Round;
QB Teddy Bridewater
2022: (1st) Round and (4th) Round
2023: (4th) or (5th) Round
Of course I would do that ... I might even throw in Shaq to close it ... but let’s get real Texans are about to play hard ball with Watson (probably smoke) but the longer they hold him the lower his value will be .. also he holds all the cards with his no trade clause ... he needs to pull a James harden (get fat and throw ducks) ...

Sounds good.
And who does Rhule report to?
Rhule wound not report to anybody... he is going to get what he wants and if he doesn’t we’re already in trouble..
Matt is the leader. Scott and I will make sure it happens paperwork wise ! We will make suggestions and recommendations as Matt will have the final say and Scott will be the one physically/ officially pressing the button.. I’m just here to make sure there is clear direction and make sure Scott has his coffee

I'm just throwing something out to the question it's just my opinion which doesn't mean much. Max: 2021 first round and a middle round pick; 2022 first and mid round; 2023 mid round.
I would be totally okay with that !!!! If we can make it happen !!!!

I don't know why y'all don't want to cut Paradis. Even if he plays decent he's old and won't be a part of the future. Why not move on now and let a young guy work.
Desperate for any competent oline.. if we somehow can get a cheaper alternative to paradis im all for it .. cap space this year is going to be a premium. It is worth considering but only if we have the next room in place

I give nothing ... if he wants to come here. I would covertly ask him to publicly request a trade to Carolina. With his no trade clause and has leverage.. no reason to come to a team that gets gutted ... no cmac amd no 3 1st round picks would disheartening for Dwatson... take a stand and demand Carolina and the kingdom will be his .... the new amazing practice center.l(in rock hill) 2 states behind the team with richest owner in the land...

and that’s still a lot in my eyes..
Plus I would want Dwatson to sign an extension (yes I know he resigned last year) need for him to feel welcome the Tepper way

And not for nothing, but welcome to the board.
Given the fact that your posts on this thread have been rational, I assume you are new!
thank you for that commentIronically I’ve been a member for several years .. but years of creeping on the board. And built up tension for craving panther talk .. but the best of all I see the panthers making major grow in all departments football related ..I do believe we have a motivative and very smart owner. And the culture he is building is only going to get better and better

Copy pasta??
Need more light hearted posting here, thanks. I could help with my years of fantasy football, 90% with average 3rd out of 12 finishing. 40 leagues exp and I specialize in leagues with defenders. Doesnt matter 20 team, H2H, points, 8 team, weird points system, I still finish no worst than 3rd most times!!
So far it’s a non paying gig .. but anybody willing to bounce ideas in the name of growth for the betterment of the team .. pull up a chair and let’s get to work
Orlando Brown Trade Value to the Panthers
in Carolina Panthers
Posted
I know we are in deep search for a QB.. but a great addition Orlando Brown would make for the upcoming QB seems worth it alone.. but what is that worth .. rumor is he wants to move to LT and get a bigger contract and wants out...
