And yet Bryce had the 14th longest time to throw in the league. That’s pretty average.
If you watched the video, they discussed how Bryce was constantly in retreat on his drops. I bet the "time to throw" stats would look a lot different if he didn't retreat.
We all watched last year. If you want to argue our IOL play was average, go right ahead. I wont be joining you.

Haven’t watched it yet, but whining about the line (which wasn’t nearly as bad as the Young fanboys’ narrative says it was) and the pass catchers is the siren song of people who refuse to admit they were wrong about Young during the draft process. I still hope Young is able to develop, but I’m not expecting it.
Our IOL play last season was about as bad as you’ll see in the NFL.

Is anybody else worried about the optics of this? Like damn they chose to sign with us as UDFA and they just get cut after two practices? I think UDFA agents may use this against us in the future
Not really

James Williams from Miami is a huge safety although a move to LB seem probable
OLB imo

James Williams should be our next pick. Big hitter that can make up for losing Luvu

I'll be on record saying I think Theo Johnson is the higher upside pick but I see the vision of taking him as a safer tight end choice after swinging for the fences with wallace
I watched highlights of Theo Johnson and I’d take Jared Wiley over him.
My top 5 TEs were:
1. Brock Bowers
2. Ben Sinnott
3A/3B. J Sanders/Jared Wiley
5. Jaheim Bell
I like the Sanders pick!

My concern is injury. I don't doubt he can be at least serviceable.
Corbett is the only viable option on the roster and coming off 2 knee injuries. I don't believe you can ever rest on your laurels when it comes to OL.
I view BC as viable at any OL position. Hopefully he’s our backup C if we don’t draft one.

4th- WR Troy Franklin, WR Tez Walker, C Ced Van Pran, any of top remaining CBs (James, Tampa, Carson)
After that, players I’d like to see as Panthers:
TE Jared Wiley
TE Jaheim Bell
WR Johnny Wilson
WR Malik Washington
WR Jacob Cowing
C Beaux Limmer
LB James Willams (put him in Luvu’s role and let him wreak havoc)

Could have got him without moving up.
You don’t know that

Brooks was clearly our target based on reports earlier today we were looking at RB. We picked RB1 off the board.
Some posters would rather us select Brooks at #39 instead of trading down and acquiring an additional 2025 2nd while making the same pick.

Then he should stop
He brings good info/takes from X though. A lot that I would never see otherwise.

Seriously... Juan should be banned from posting twitter links if he's just going to post the links and not let them load into the posts first.
It's not that hard, more frustrating than just the idiots on here who post the most unrealistic ideas/situations.
Been established it’s a board software issue. Juan, along with myself and others, could wait forever but the link will not embed.

Nah. Rule #1 of man code. Keep your hands to yourself. Touch me and I’ll touch you back regardless of age or status.
A man in his twenties/thirties punching a man who could receive Medicare bc he touched his hat is a bum.

If you walk up to a stranger in a bar and take their hat off their head, you should not be surprised if you get punched in the face
In a typical setting I get it. An old man owner picking with a younger fan of an opposing team isn’t a typical setting.
If he had done that to you in the same situation and you punched him in response, I’d think you were the a-hole.

Looked like an Eagles hat the guy was wearing. Nothing wrong with giving a guy a hard time about wearing another team’s gear in the home city of your team. In fact, it should be the standard to boo those wearing other teams’ gear in Charlotte. It’s not as much fun if no one cares about those things.

Patriots really need to trade for Aiyuk to give Maye some help.

That would mess up the drafting of our next Wesley Walls - Ben Sinnott.

I wanted both Xaviers (Worthy + Leggette) leading up to the draft.
Chiefs traded up for Worthy and we traded up for XL. I trust my eyes and XL will make us proud.

I love his hands and catch radius, but watching him run reminds me of Ian Thomas. dude is not light on his feet.
A guy who runs a 4.39 forty reminds you of Ian Thomas?

Best case for us is that pennix and jj slip out of the first
Idk, 6 QBs in the first likely means we have a couple of first round level picks available at #33.

Value charts to just gain a third:
33 <-> 50 & 82
33 <-> 45 & 92
People are forgetting they added in their own 3rd round pick (81) along with 33 to get 41, 72 and a future 3rd.
I think the idea of trading #33 hinges on teams wanting to overpay for it after mulling over the first round leftovers. Especially if a QB drops.
Also, I see no problem in picking up a 2025 2nd in the process. I know we’re all feeling impatient, but we’re not competing for a Super Bowl in 2024. Trade back 10 or so picks, add a 2025 2nd (equivalent of a 2024 3rd) + a 2024 4th. That’d be worth it to me if someone we love isn’t sitting there.

Both of these guys scare me---loved them at first, then I probably overthunk it.
I don’t think we can come out of this draft without one legit WR, at minimum. I’d rather take two swings at it with athletic freaks who had strong years.
Both of them can take a short completion and make something more of it. Both of them can win downfield so hopefully DBs aren’t sitting on everything short.

If the draft was true to his rankings, here’s my wish:
#33 - trade down to mid/late 2nd (acquire an additional 2025 2nd + 2024 4th)
#39 - WR Xavier Worthy
Newly acquired 2nd - CB TJ Tampa
#65 - WR Xavier Legette
#101 - TE Ben Sinnott
Newly acquired 4th - LB Cedric Gray
#141 - EDGE Eric Watts
#142 - LB James Williams
#240 - RB Jawhar Jordan

Shadeur probably struggled pre and post snap which made his OL look worse.
