There were plenty of throws with no zip that defenders broke on because the ball floated to the target and it was very obvious secondary’s were not the least bit threatened by deep routes and it made playing D against Carolina easy.

Just have to build an offense around the game manager we have at QB. Heavy on the run and play action, move the pocket, create easy throws etc. He’ll never have a “strong” arm in comparison to most other NFL QBs

Really?
What a stupid comment, leader in clubhouse for most asisnine comment in 2024!
I thought it was a helluva press conference, both guys were great -- and anyone dumb enought to f**K with Dan "The Man" Morgan is going to be taught a harsh lesson!!
Let's Get It ON!!!!!
Why’d you edit my post so….unnecessarily? Stop being weird. We all want the team to win

That’s fair and you’re right, there are not many on the roster that fit that description. It could have been Morgan’s thoughts on a few of the guys. He’s not been the final decision maker before. With that said, I believe it to be more motivational: this stuff will no longer be tolerated: shape up or ship out. The key will be whether the players are held accountable.
We’ll see. Fingers crossed that Morgan was powerless and ignored and not just an inept sycophant.

He came across more pointed to me. He essentially called out the current players, saying, “the logo is not feared any longer.” He basically said, you’re soft and the league doesn’t respect you.
Because that’s the message right now. Where has that been for the last 3 years? I don’t see a lot of players that fit the mold he talked about on the roster

That doesn't really add up. He was incredibly critical of the current roster, the attitude, character, everything. Sounds like he got the job because he wasn't on board with past personnel decisions, and Dave sees now that Dan was right.
Morgan came across as a company man. He’ll do what he’s told.

As a few have mentioned, I don't really care how Morgan does in a press conference.. may not be his thing. I wanna see the results in the coming months. That will speak louder than any press conference.
I’m not allowed to criticize Morgan or I’ll get banned. But let’s just say he seems like a good soldier

After finally getting to sit down and watch it I came away impressed and confident in Canales, quite a bit less so with Morgan.

Can't be aggressive with a mash unit of a defense.
And the 30 million dollar man barely trying for 3/4s of the season

all depends how you look at it.
maybe part of the reason the D sort of oddly stood out in that cherry picked example.....was practically all the defensive players played with the opposing QB just a few short months ago. Who knows.
All I know is, I can't call the 2023 Panthers D top 5 with a straight face.
32nd takeaways
32nd in sacks
#1 in missed tackles
30th in pressure %
29th in points allowed.
lol posted this on the subreddit and they threw a hissy fit. I’m optimistic but not overly so about these coaches right now. #s don’t lie

with Bryce Young you hope we run less than when compared to to Tampa that was at bottom third of league in rush attempts?
Sounds disastrous.
Tampas offense was middle of the road or worse in most statistical categories. I’m fine with the hire but i think expectations need to be tempered quite a bit for our new “offensive genius” HC

BJ probably thinks the Lions can win a SB so he’s sticking around. Not everybody is a power grasping money chaser

Buffalo's should be rested up now.
They’re not even starting backups. Those are practice squad and guys off the couch playing d for the bills

Can either defense make a stop? Looks like Baltimores year

Joe Brady is him

Buffalos defense is too depleted. Asking aj Klein off the RV to cover Kelce is wild and pretty much predictable

Demeco Ryans makes me think Luke could actually be a great coach whereas before I was skeptical

So who’s your ‘Dawgs’ on this team?
in Carolina Panthers
Posted
Luvu and DB are the only certified dawgs on the roster. I’m omitting T-mo because the whole o-line just accepted defeat last year
