Yes, because Russell Wilson is clearly the problem and not the asshat Sean Peyton, which some of yall wanted by the way.

Yep. Because Wilson was so good last year without Payton.

Yea that was a great deal that first year and then came that extension after robbie was crying. I agree the panthers should have held firm. Again rhule was the boss and that was one of his choosen ones......

One great year followed by a disaster year that somehow fitt got a 6th and 7th for an ultra toxic guy. He did nothing for zona and been off and on phins PS this year.

What was Fitts job then? Did Ruhle set the terms of the contract? Or was it Tepper this time? It gets hard to tell when Fitt was a cuckold peeking through the bedroom door and when he was saving the franchise with 6th-7th round picks that still have come up yet 2 years later.

I swear anderson was signed for like 1yr 6 mill and then came the 2 yr 30 some million deal. It may have been a 2 year deal the first time and that was a bargain at the time. Robbie held out for a new deal and got it. Then rhule was fired and he became a cancer.

I also think he got a 6th and 7th for him after the cancer deal. Still minor but everyone thought he was tooo toxic for any other team to touch.

RA signed a 2/20M deal in 2020. Had a good first season. Then, for no reason, they gave him an 2/29.5M extension AFTER drafting TMJ. With 20M guaranteed. He sucked all of 2021, then flamed out in 2022. Getting a near useless draft pick for a guy you wasted all that on is not a good thing for anyone. Here are the details.

Anderson joined Carolina in 2020 on a two year, $20 million contract during free agency. Anderson had a softer than expected market so the Panthers took a chance and for one season it worked out with Anderson putting up a career best 1,096 yards and 95 receptions.

Even though it was not a one year “prove it” deal the Panthers treated it as such and quickly extended Anderson after the season to a new contract worth $14.75 million a season. This would be a disaster for the team as Anderson only had 519 yards in 2021. Rather than paying the original $8 million salary and then letting him walk after a poor season, the new extension saw the team pay $12.5 million in 2021 and then an additional $12.31 million this year. For that extra $16.31 million in cash and cap the Panthers got 6 additional games, 13 receptions, 206 yards, and a touchdown of production.

I feel fittterererer just has done what rhule, tepper and other coaches wanted. Sometimes you need to be able to say "No". I dont think he was able or could.

I wanted to give fitttererererrer some time after he gained some control after rhule. But the facts are the roster has the least talent out of the 32 teams.  That is one rough deal to overlook.

He did trade greg little, daley, and robbie anderson when no one on earth believed it was possible. Again just far too many negatives to positives. Those are tiny positives too...

Yep. Getting a 7th round pick for a player you gave 16M for 6 games was a real coup.

You’re the one that offered to do the Venn diagram for someone. When it came to actually backing up your BS, you tapped out immediately to the “not worth my time” deflection. Well done.

Man Canada was pretty bad. My coworker is a Steelers fan and you would have thought they won a Super Bowl when I told him Canada was fired. Mitch getting benched this week made him pretty happy as well.

Rudolph is no better. Nothing will change.

Like I said.... believe what you will..im not wasting my time to explain to you about a coach that ain't coming here. He had great talent all around...all the time. He had great stats and records but underachieved with it... the shitsburg hype was always bigger than the team...

What exactly have you said. One post says that you never said what you already said more than once. Yet can’t come up with anything to make a point in your favor. Or debate the many facts I’ve already brought to the table. Excuse me if I believe more than “because you say so”.

Are people really scoffing at Tomlin as our next HC? I seriously doubt the Steelers move on from him, but if they do he should be our top priority. Still relatively young and a probable HoF coach.

He’s not going anywhere THIS year. This mess continues next year and it’s a different story. I’m stuck between a long successful history and the worst 3 game stretch I’ve ever seen as a Steeler fan. They wouldn’t listen when I told them it was a huge mistake to hire Pat Meyer and Frisman Jackson off of the pitiful 2021 Panthers offense. Add Matt Canada and you get what we have seen.

Not calling Mike Tomlin a scrub my no means. But, I do wonder what his career would be like without that Pittsburgh Steelers front office he has had all these years.

Yeah Tomlin is a good coach but that front office has been legendary at finding talent until the past few years.

Do you actually believe Tomlin didn’t have a say in player evaluations for the draft picks?

I didn't say that...I said his SB was a gift from Cowher...believe what you will ...i respect your opinion...i just dont share it...

Didn’t say what? You said he had exceptional talent at EVERY position. In a post directly above. Did you not? And if Cowher gifted him a SB, tell us how? I showed who they had, which sure wasn’t exceptional. Especially an OL that was considered the worst ever for a team that won the SB. I believe what I saw and the facts. You can try the Venn diagram if it helps.

Cower came of a superbowl 8-8.. what did panthers do after they came off a SB appearance...they maintained the players from the SB...um remember a dude named Polamaulu..... Tomlin is a good coach...but him coming here and and magically turning it around with this roster will take years... or for anybody.  Dick Vermeil was one of the few that did well on a flip. Rothlishitsberger carried that offence and made Tomlin look good... just like Cam did with Rivera...  Tomlin had better talent and competent coaches...thats the diff...

I don’t care what he might do here. But to pretend his success is all from Cowher, a QB who was maybe the 5th best QB on his best years in a conference with Brady and Manning, and a HOF S is comical. Big Ben threw for 3,300 yds with 17 TDs and 15 INT in the SB winning season. How is that carrying anything? And a far cry from “exceptional” talent at every position.

one thing ur missing...he had exceptional talent in almost every position on the field.... what u think he gonna do with this team... he hasn't won a SB in 15 years...hes good but squandered what he had...lol...

Who were these players that were exceptional at every position? Cowher went 8-8 with “his” players the year he retired. Tomlin won his SB two years later. The offense had Rashard Mendenhall, Santonio Holmes, the remains of Hines Ward, and a bad OL. And has kept the team winning through all those years despite never drafting in the top half of any round without trades. The Panthers had a good 2008. Since then they have had THREE non-losing seasons. Tomlin has 14.

I've been a Burns supporter in the past, but you can't give this guy nearly $30M per year. He's just not that type of impact player. We changed our entire scheme and built it around Brian Burns hoping he'd make the leap from very good to elite and he reverted to good. Whole still being awful against the run.

I'm in the tag and trade camp.

That tag and trade will be much harder than people are thinking. No one will pay him 30M if the team that put his value there won’t. Then give up picks to do it.

And he won’t sign the tag without having accepted a new deal from someone. Which means he is going to have to take much less than he wants.

Montez Sweat for a 2nd and a 24M/yr deal. And he is every bit as good as Burns. Why would teams give more than that?

I love him. Is he perfect? No.

He's still one of our best defensive players on the team. If we going to get mad at a player Burns is way down on that list of players we should be angry at.

    What about this sorry Oline?

What about the toddler QB with a noodle arm?

Mingo and TMJ nowhere to be found!

    Fug the offense!

Defense has been our bright spot all season, and you fans keep piling on one of the best players on the entire freaking team! Fug that im fed up with the Burns hate!

    Enough is Enough!

He won't play on the tag, he almost held out this year. He'd definitely hold out til traded or signed long term.

He can’t be traded until he signs. Which he won’t unless another team agrees to his terms, while knowing they have to give up two firsts if the Panthers don’t match. I’m not seeing how the Panthers get anything of value in return at this point.

Who is overpaid on the roster right now?

Didn't know Burns is holding up money for other FA's.

Also curious how teams like the Bengals have a competitive roster and they have the highest paid QB in the league.

Interesting how people can't explain this but because Burns wants 30mil he's not affordable.

Because Burrow just became the highest paid QB. Last year, Burrow,Chase and Higgins counted a combined 17.5M last year. And still only combine for 32M this year. And two DEs as good or better than Burns at less than Burns wants by himself.

The Panthers have 55.75M in dead cap this year. The Bengals have 3M. That’s the difference.

Sure, but he also had a HOF throwing him the ball, he's done jack squat since Ben retired and was openly showing horribly effort and attitude on the field this year.

TMJ's 9 catch for 56 yard game this year was better than anything Claypool did with the Bears.

They both suck, but if Claypool can get something in a trade, so can TMJ

You don’t have to tell me his faults. I’ve watched his whole career. I, and every Steeler fan, had a party when the Bears gave a 2nd for him. But he has been productive in the NFL. Something TMJ has never been. And the Big Ben he played wasn’t a HOFer or even close.

I'm also shocked we didn't trade Chinn, I'd have taken literally a 7th for him at this point.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Chinn and think he will be a longtime starter in this league, but this staff hasn't figured out how to use him so they just don't put him on the field.  Unless we play him near 100% of the snaps once he's healthy again, there is a 0% chance he's coming back here.

Why would you re-sign with the team that just spent the season refusing to put you on the field?

So now we're going to keep him and watch him walk away for nothing in free agency, what a way to ruin the potential of a guy who came in 2nd in the DROY voting

I wouldn’t have minded the Steelers throwing a 6th to get a close up look at him for the rest of the season.

Claypool was able to be traded for a pick and he's looked worse these last 2 years than TMJ has ever looked, on top of having a horrible attitude.

If we were to cut him, he'd get signed immediately, someone out there would do the 6/7 swap for him

I was speaking of the 4-5th price you originally stated. Which is why I added the edit. And Claypool had more production his rookie year than TMJ has his whole career.
