This team is in a rebuild,  but they are still trying to win. Its that some of us know the it's going to be difficult to win after purging the offense of 7 starters and 5 on the defense while trying to build chemistry and learn a new system in the 1st couple of months in the offseason.  It's common sense that they will not have an easy road the 1st season. But yet here we are demanding playoffs or heads on a platter if the don't.

Lost 7 on Offense?? Freeman, DJ, Darnold (good riddance). Are we counting Chosen, CMC, Mayfield, PJ?

BTW, i 100% agree with your assessment that we can rebuild and try to win at the same time. They are not mutually exclusive.

Yeah, that was the worst take I've heard in a while, other than the guys who thought we would be a playoff team. Or perhaps that Ickey had proven he is a franchise left tackle.

Lot of fanboys here who are just hot take after hot take.

In my defense...I still think we have a legit shot at winning the NFCS, thus being a "playoff team". Not because we're a great or even complete team yet, but because none of the teams are. We'll get a real look at that possibility starting in 2 weeks.

In other news, I agree that Chark has looked like our best receiver all of camp and preseason. I hope it's nothing major or lingering. And Icky looked really good LAST YEAR. But 1 good year doesn't make you a franchise LT. I'm still bullish on him BTW.

I feel like Buffalo isn’t evolving or improving much and NYJ and MIA have been adding a ton and already have quickly upcoming pieces.

Doesn't it feel downright wrong to be talking about the AFC East and be completely disregarding the pats?? they completely dominated that pansy-ass conference for so long.

You have the Jets winning the AFC?

I seen this before. The media darlings never work out. This is not a Tom Brady situation. Aaron Rodgers gets put on that level but he's just not that great when the games really matter. Rodgers haven't been to a SB in over a decade. Now that he gets a new team in the largest media market we are supposed to crown them the favorites?

I seen this before and it usually ends with said team failing expectations. Im not picking the Jets over the Bengals or Chiefs. That's just my opinion. You like them to win the AFC then so be it.

I wouldn't make the favorites over those 2 either, BUT they are certainly in the running. If they did make it to the SB, I wouldn't be surprised.

    Bullshit

The producers of a hbo show under a hard deadline working with a 5ish day window isn't editing under the premise of making the carolina panthers look bad.  That's just moronic to even insinuate

I would argue that they absolutely edit to make the Jets look good. The panthers looking bad is just a byproduct.

Full disclosure, I didn't watch the game or this episode of hard knocks. Also, from the highlights (if you can call them that) of the game I saw, we didn't need much help looking bad Saturday.

the problem is that this isn't something you should have to deal with in your first preseason game.

every team has an agenda for each preseason game that may or may not include scheming. i really think the only reason the jets went hard was for team morale. we were just trying to get our guys out there and used to seeing a little action.

i'm not going to give the jets props for anything that they did on saturday because they were going after a team that wasn't in it to win it. panthers were in it for the reps.

Right, no other way we go from bullying them in 11 vs 11 in practice to being embarrassed a few days later. O line has shown that they can be solid all of last year (except RG, but that wasn't the only position getting taken to the wood shed). We'll be OK  when it counts.🤞

Robinson seems like the kind of guy that won't forget that anytime soon.

Yeah, it just looks really bad in hindsight how the movie basically vilified and made a mockery of the efforts made to investigate the situation when if these allegations are true then what they were attempting to investigate was exactly what was going on. Basically just exploiting a kid in an awful situation who just so happened to have elite athletic talent. Again, if true then they almost certainly wouldn't have given the kid a second glance if there wasn't something there for them to exploit. That's just sad.

Not to mention that here it was supposed to be about the story of Michael Oher when in reality the movie was about a white knight lady and Michael Oher was just a supporting character.

  9. I want to see how our backup CB's perform. Honestly, with Horn and Jackson both coming off injuries, there is no reason why either should get more than 1 set of downs, if that. I wonder if Henderson can be coached up to play good enough, and I want Taylor to finally take a step up to be consistent depth.

Also want to see the 3-4 D since I'm not as up on that system as I want to be.

    Bryce mudderfuggin Young!!!!!

edit: Excited to see Hubbard playing RB1, and how much size he's gained.
