Burns said they have no weak spots.
I saw that too, but Burns is full of poo. We've patched LB and Edge with aging vets, but our CB depth still scares me to death.

Brenton Bersin
He managed to do it every preseason for years!
But I gotta go with Fozzy Whitiker. I was so hyped up on him and he never really did poo.

I forget the guy's name but he was a middle linebacker with a blonde mullet in the 2010s. Classic "sneaky athletic gym rat great kid from a great family nonstop motor" type player who was just all over the field. I don't think he ever played a snap in a regular season game.
You talking about Mayo? He's still with Ron in DC.

Good stuff @BlackPanther22. On the offensive side of the ball, this is our biggest question mark. Everything else seems settled except who the #6 WR will be, and Byrd's injury pretty much settled that. FWIW, I think Mays has everything needed to be a starter at RG, at least until Corbett returns. McCray might be getting looks because he's the vet and Mays is still figuring it out. I also am a big fan of Christensen, but I think he's missing that mean streak that Zavala had at State. I don't think Zavala pushes for RG anytime soon though. I heard a lineman say one time that moving from one side of the line to the other was like wiping your ass with your left hand... it's possible, but it doesn't feel right.

I wasn't adamant, but I definitely was on the Stroud train until a week or 2 after pro days. I am 100% onboard with Bryce now (I was wrong), obviously, but I won't judge Stroud too harshly yet.

Unless I'm off on the rules, that's not a catch. His left fot definitely touches out of bounds before he secures the catch. Nice hustle though, good for him.

I don't want my back up QB that couldn't make it as a starter looking 10X better than my #2 pick.
If Young goes out there and gets outperformed by Dalton, I would be bummed. And Dalton shitts on Mills.

Texans about to find out real soon why you need a Oline for a young QB.
Im so thankful we finally built a above average Oline. Bryce definitely has a better supporting cast than Stroud right now.
Texans were the worst team in the league last year and we were a few plays from making the playoffs (even after a horrible start with Rhule). We had a solid foundation out there for a rookie QB, AND THEN got busy AF in the offseason to build a damn near perfect scenario for him.

Sigh. More of Mrs Rhule's choice for RB. Can't wait.
Screw it, it's preseason. Let Sanders heal up and get Chuba and Blackshear meaningful snaps. Sounds good to me.

Not sure mays is going to give the job up.
I've been thinking this too. By all accounts, he's looked great at RG since OTA's. However... McCray was running with the 1's yesterday.

No, that's not PI at all. Defender went straight for the ball and popped it up.
The only QB that would get that PI call retired last year.

that's the pick that was referenced earlier in this thread that went off a few hands/TMJ (I think it was him) lost a battle for the ball.
it was Chark,

Kamu's name is getting called out just about every practice. I, for one, am much less worried about our depth.

Man, if Mingo ends up being a baller, we could have a really nice passing game. People poo on our weapons, but Chark, TMJ, Mingo, Thelien and Shenault sounds pretty damn solid to me.

Eddy with a groin issue..
The Panthers brought in another kicker Tuesday, as Eddy Piñeiro manages an injury that could cost him some preseason time.
The team added Matthew Wright after a pre-practice workout Tuesday.
Wright has kicked for the Chiefs, Steelers, and Jaguars in his career.
He was the guy who helped the Jaguars snap a 20-game losing streak in 2021 when he hit a game-winning 53-yard field goal against the Dolphins in London.
He's appeared in 23 games in his career and is 40-of-46 on field goals and 35-of-37 on extra points.

So who do you replace him with in your opinion since he’ll probably get cut with a injury settlement.
I think Shi just won the lottery. Of course, Jennings has been making a lot of noise at camp, and Saunders and Wright are always on the fringe of making the roster. So who knows.

Sounds like at least a grade 2, possibly grade 3 hamstring tear
If so, could be a career ender for a 30 year old WR who's known as a "speed guy".
