  1. I agree with Bronco Cat, that's not going to happen unless you really got on something. My wife worries about the same thing, she won't lift with me even though I've explained to her that she's not going to bulk up like a man will. She also says that she gains weight quickly when lifting and she's doing that weight watchers diet and has lost 19 pounds and she's really into it now, plus she just picked up the urge to start running a lot. 6 pullups is really good... most guys can't do 6 real pullups without flopping their legs like fish. 10 would be exceptional imo. Work them to failure as psc suggested, hit some other exercises that work the lats and general back and you'll be up to 10 in no time.
  2. "Why oh why didn't I take the BLUE pill?" I've taken the GNC Vitpaks, probably somewhat similar. If you put weight on, that might be a little more challenging... working out your legs and calves a lot I hope.
  3. Yeah, lifting will definitely make you hungry for sure. What are your goals, other than the 175 lbs mark?

  5. 6 is pretty good Cat. How much you weigh? I've increased mine by doing other general back exercises, esp ones that target lats like pull downs, etc. Bent over row (close grip) Pull down (and all it's variations) ...and I've been doing this one lately (thanks boo's bf) with the bar and a handle, really, really good. T-bar row (except that I use a V handle grip Do you have wrist straps? They can relieve some of the stress on your hands/forearms and help you focus on your back.

  8. Yeah... actually I meant the other one (on the left) she kind of staggered off... I just noticed the one on the right... she did go down. Those two guys kind of looked at her, but then just kept on dancing... lol Oh well. FWIW I love Miguels music... I hope he man's up and takes care of those two... he probably broke their noses at minimum.

  12. I am not a fan of leg day either, but I've been making myself do it.
  13. Yeah... working out with boos bf was good. He works out a lot faster than I normally do and it kept my heart rate up a lot higher... I need to do more of that. Plus I do eat better than I used to, but I could do better still.
  14. I'd like to tone up some as well... the muscles are there, but at 40 getting rid of that last little layer of fat is getting tougher.
