I thought Cignetti would leave at first glance. But his contract has auto escalators in it that can trigger every year. They are also funded by a mega rich person so I doubt he leaves.
Mark Cuban money. He isn't going anywhere until he retires.

I think Evero may be one of those guys that is better as a HC than as a coordinator. I wouldn't be surprised if he actually got one of these jobs.

There's a much better chance that Cignetti hops to another school eventually than the NFL. I think the offers will get pretty stupid if his success continues.
Also Carson Beck is terrible and not a serious NFL prospect.
Indiana has Mark Cuban money and the largest alumni base in the country. They aren't going to be outbid and he has reached a status at IU he wouldn't get at any other school especially if they win the Championship. I think he retires at IU. I am more surprised his coordinators didn't get HC jobs elsewhere but IU is paying them very well as well.

IU is a better defensive team than Ole Miss too.
The Hoosiers are about as dominant of a team as I have seen in a long, long time.
IU is the most well coached team I have ever seen. They are meticulous and don't make stupid mistakes. Cignetti is a mad man and I think all he does outside of football is watch tape and he will exploit any weakness in the other team. I am curious why Saban never let him be more than a WR coach at Alabama. He had to go on his own and coach at Division 2 IUP to get his shot as a HC and has won everywhere since. In the championship game at IU in his second year. He is also a great evaluator of talent. He is able to find guys know one else is looking at and turn them into studs.

Former Panthers safety Jammie Robinson had a blocked punt in the game as well.

If the Panthers didn't exist I would probably be a Falcons fan. I have no problem rooting for the Falcons today. Saints and Bucs, hate em both.

If it isnt influenced, games where countless millions(billions) of dollars are at stake are being decided by the most incompetent mother fu kers on the planet.
NFL is a multi billion dollar business and these refs work part time. Most of them have other main jobs.

The Bears are looking at building a new domed stadium as well possibly across the state line in Indiana.

Duke in the CFP will be comedy gold.
James Madison would likely be ranked higher as a conference champion so if Duke wins most likely no ACC team gets in unless the committee decides to slide Miami above ND based on head to head.

Watch the coin toss to determine the outcome. Panthers are 6-0 when winning the coin toss and 0-5 when losing.

Yea, I was saying to a friend this weekend after beating Oregon that if I was IU's leadership Cignetti wouldn't get off the team plane when it lands in Bloomington until he was LOCKED into a lifelong contract. There are very few schools that could afford Cignetti's buy out this early in his contract - Penn State is one of them.
Indiana has Mark Cuban money. They will be able to match whatever PSU could offer. Stay at IU and become a legend or go to PSU where you're on the chopping block after 2 losses. I would take the first option.

Dude must not have watched the game. Wallace and Rozeboom played well and made some big stops. Not sure about Scott but he didn't have any screw ups and Ransom was in there quite a bit. His comment about Canales not throwing a temper tantrum on the blown PI call is stupid as well. That's not his personality, he did say something to the refs but didn't go ballistic.

TBH, right now I am maybe less interested in scouting Mendoza as I am Curt Cignetti.
Wish he wasn't 64 years old.
Cignetti was an assistant under Saban for several years at Alabama. He is a great coach that didn't get a big opportunity until he was older. Finally getting to show everyone how good of a coach he is. As an IU fan I hope he stays at IU and becomes a legend leading one of the worst football programs in college football history to national relevance.

This is the play that has me scratching my head and saying what was Bryce looking at. 1st and 10 and he has Chuba wide open in the middle of the field where he can easily pick up a first down and more. What does Bryce do? Throw it where no receiver is and gets an intentional grounding.

I think they got about $400k to get slaughtered.

If we're in position and he is there, he will absolutely be the pick. He goes to South Carolina after all
If he went to Clemson he would be off the board. Still hard to believe they have never drafted a Clemson player.

Aiden Fisher
in Carolina Panthers
Posted
As the IU fan resident on this board I am on board with drafting Fisher. Leader of the defense. He was one of the first guys Cig brought over from JMU. Give me D'Angelo Ponds for nickel CB as well. Both of these guys are the definition of Dawg Morgan is looking for.
